Yeon Si-Eun (Park Ji-Hoon) is a model student, who ranks at the top at his high school. Physically, Yeon Si-Eun appears like a weak boy, but, by using his smarts, tools, and psychology, he fights against violence that takes place inside and outside of his school.

He is just a highschooler with lots of trauma and he overthinks Everything. I cannot hate him because we're alike. Yeah, he shouldn't be doing it all but whatever?? Anyway, Loved Loved Loved Youngyi my underrated overhated overlooked queen!!

Cecilia May 06 2025 4:41 am Watched season 1 n 2. Main cast in both seasons were great. Fantastic acting, wonderful story but I hope it’s not real in the schools, it will be heartbreaking. Felt for all the guys in their anguish, anger, resentment n sadness. Very good portrayal of the anxiety n pain in growing up years as a teen in a difficult situation. Love all the actors. Great !!!!!

bunny May 05 2025 10:07 pm just finished both season. both season are great with difference plot and drama. but i got curious about the extra scene after the credit on season 1 which there is a photo of si eun and a tattoo hand with the line "he beat kang woo young". i thought it will continue on season 2 but it doesn't. and the extra scene on season 2 doesn't match with season 1. i really wanna know what the man will do to si eun. hoping for season 3, i do believe it will be more thrill and intense.

I applaud the writer(s) that they didn't make Si Eun punch Beom Seok at the end. BS has had enough of those, it really wouldn't make an impact if SE added along to his bruises. I know it hurt BS more when he saw SE couldn't hit him.

Also, the audacity of that motherfather assemblyman to want SE to be sent to juvie.. for what??? He never touched your son, unlike you. I'm about to start season 2 now, and I'm praying his abuse becomes known to the public, and BS gets away from him. In addition, if I were SE, I would've kept a copy of that video for my future. That geseki really abused his powers to ensure SE is out of the city. Really boils my blood.

The dumbbell scene was *chef's kiss* I don't care if he was just paid to hit SH, he had a lot of victims. It was satisfying to know he won't be able to pursue his dream of being a MMA/UFC fighter.

The other bullies I would've put in a coma as well. That Kim Woo Bin wannabe was the start of everything, he really didn't learn anything after his face-meet-book scene.

I was sad for Young Yi. Like yes, in a third person view, dynamics changed when she joined the guys, but really, it was just BS' insecurities. She just wanted friends, friends to have fun with without committing any crime.

And on that note, I'll start season 2.

They must have gone through gallons of fake blood! And where were the teachers when all of this was going on? The boys never called the cops, never told their parents or teachers. So it just went on and on and boringly on. Kids end up in the ER or dead, yet no one pays for their crimes.

ktee Mar 29 2025 12:48 pm Honestly, I'm not a fan of this type of drama - bullying with high profile connections, bloody fights etc.. there are too many to mention that disappoints me and I thought that somehow they can get justice on everything happens but I was wrong, very wrong. But still im looking forward for season 2 I hope it'll less stress and it will satisfy my expectations.

Btw, great actors they can portray their characters so well.

Darey Nov 02 2024 3:58 am as a man, this drama really suits my style. one of the reasons I like them is their story's focus on male friendship. short episodes make the story more concise and less long-winded. all the characters are interesting, have a surprising side.

If this drama airs on television it will definitely be long and contain a romantic genre + female characters as couples. has a much different story from the webtoon version, I prefer the drama version of the story.

This is really Good! There’s only few highschool kdramas that I watched that I didn't drop. Among are mostly revenge kdramas/action I only watched these highschool that are really recommended like school 2015, pyramid game, the night has come, duty after school, all of us are dead and of course weak hero class 1. This is really good that I have to read the manhwa for season 2:)

I Regret Not Watching This Sooner Because This Is The Best Freaking Highschool Drama I Have Ever Watched! Park jihoon improved so much with his acting! Choi hyun wook i have been a fan since his first ever webtoon Real Time, it was his first acting role but he already was a pro and talented actir, for his rolw in this drama, it suit him so mhch! Such a cool friend!! Even hongkyoungs acting here is brilliant! The trio main leads did superb acting! I cannot praise this drama enough, from the cast, to action scenes, to the hilarious moments, to the infuriating bullies, everythins is jjat perfect! Even supporting casts esp shin seung ho and lee yeon nailed their roles! This definitely has now become my ultimate favorite highschool drama!!! Stanning park ji hoon and hong kyoung now! Still and will always stan my precious choi hyunwook!!

Eiko Aug 05 2023 9:45 am Ok, I'm only up to episode 3. So far, I'm liking Suho, Beomseok, and even Seokdae as individual characters. However, my fave is our main Si-eun because so far I relate to him the most. Though I don't fully understand what goes on in his head yet, I get the impression that he's a loner by choice and that though he may not like studying, he still likes it better than having to socialize. I was initially glad to feel represented. Some of us prefer and are happy to be alone and there is nothing wrong with that so I hate it when shows make it seem like a bad trait or that a loner is lonely and s/he will only be happy when s/he "opens up" and makes friends, which isn't true at all. So I'm becoming super annoyed with these characters forcing Si-eun to hang-out, disregarding his plan, eating his precious time forcing him to do what THEY want, and oh my god, the most annoying is that Young-yi character. They try to make it as if she's a cute oddball tomboy, but she's actually a needy annoying red flag—at least so far in this episode. She steals cosmetics, tries to make a Si-eun an accomplice by forcing him to pretend to be her boyfriend so she can get away, forces him to walk her home because she didn't have an umbrella and forces him to treat her to dinner along the way. She even molests him by forcefully hugging his arm pretending to be her girlfriend. if the gender was reversed, the ick would be more apparent. What disappoints me is Si-eun goes along with all these people trying to insert themselves in his life so I guess the show is going along the "all loners must be lonely and want friends" character arc. And can we stop with trying to pass creepy impudent female characters as cute or "savage"? It's toxic and cringe.

Sooho's girl Jul 30 2023 7:29 am I just finished this drama and now I'm so broken hearted. I'm so sad for Sooho and Sieun. I'm very disapointed of Beomseok and wanna hate him, but I pity him for some reasons.

The storyline was great. The young actors portrait the characters really well. The fighting scenes are well executed. My favourite here is Choi Hyunwook. I came here for Hongkyung, but fell for Hyunwook instead. Oh, and I didn't expect that Park Jihoon was really good too. Bravo all the actors. Hope everyone great success.

Park Ji-hoon is such an amazing actor, and i was blown away with how amazing his acting was. Choi Hyunwook, his character, sooho, played amazingly. i was on the edge of my seat everytime he came into the scene. and bumseok's actor?? Hong Kyung, ABSOLUTELY blown away. the facial expressions, along with the acting, absolutely amazing.

i cant wait for season two, stay waiting fellow fans!!

10/10 - amazing storyline/plot, beyond astounding acting, and amazing execution from all cast. <3

Chelsea Jul 06 2023 3:17 am This was recommended by my niece and I was hesitant to watch it at first coz she said it involves bullying and I thought “it’s just a typical school drama”. But wow, the story, fight scenes and acting are great! The 3 main actors executed their characters well. You can feel their emotions. This series shows how a friendship can be ruined by a miscommunication. I feel bad for the 3 male leads’ characters. They have their own issues in life and yet they were tangled in a harsh reality of violence. Looking forward to its second season.

I just want a break from romcom drama. and, surprisingly, this drama is a hidden gem. i cannot find the exact words to summarize what i really feel, but i like the storyline. i like it A LOT. please have season 2, writer is so bad to keep us hanging haha We want more please. after watching this, i keep on searching other drama with same plot but i cannot find satisfaction. haha please satisfy my "cravings" and go for another season. LOL

But it's still really good. I was able to get my mom hooked on it and she typically didn't like the shows I recommend since we have very different tastes.

It's been fun seeing the correlations between the events and characters in the drama and in the source material.

If you're like me and were initially upset by the character changes I highly recommend giving it a chance anyway. The heart of it is still there they've just taken it and made it their own.

9/10, but only because I miss my boys

Dâmn! He's phenomenal in this drama, reminded me so much of Park Seo Joon's character in Fight For My Way. He's incredibly talented. He's more than ready to take a lead role! 10/10 A+

Until a couple of weeks ago I decided to give it a chance and watch it , and Omg I regret that I even thought that it's just a popular and overrated Kdrama . Like I actually finished the whole 8 episodes in just one sitting, and even my sister who had never watched nor enjoyed any Kdrama before loved it. I laughed, cried and sobbed all in one frr. Every character was on point , Park Ji-Hoon carried and served the whole show, with Choi Hyun-Wook they were superior together. I would love to see them together again in another Kdrama. I really hope there will be a season 2, as they need to let us know what will happen next. I Highly recommend this Kdrama. (btw it's my first time rating a drama)

Impressive acting skills with well executed direction is what makes the film flow with such ease and keeps the audience engaged and emotionally invested from start to finish. Weak hero class 1 is a visually and emotionally stunning experience like no other series and undeniably meets all the criteria in order to be called a masterpiece

Also, it's like watching the new gen of k-actors - young park seo jun, jeong yong hwa, and woo bin. Please, go watch this series.

The scene where Yeun si hoon hide his cast hand when an soo ho had huge emotional roller coaster.. tears rolled down as both are hiding for sake of one another. Another scene at the end of episode where he beat two students in his class with fire extinguisher.. when we walk outside like he is soulless and teacher keep ask to turn around or something.. he brust in such frustration, sad and fed up that he broke the window. I was crying and could breath well due sudden inflow of emotion.. how he feels in that moments..he didn't want to choos violent but had too.. Hope for season 2... Hope an soo ho returns..

Ep 7-8 just had me in a pool of tears and snot, I was literally sobbing, weeping and straight up hyperventilating, I did not signed up for this shit. This short drama can make me feel angry, frustrated, and annoyed with Bum Seok's actions toward his friendship with Si Eon and So Hoo. Park Ji Hoon really great at acting I must say and I cannot wait for season 2. Hope for So Hoo to be back and healthy also for Bum Seok to understand his wrongdoings.

I've been watching movies, dramas - anything that involves acting and so on a lot whatever genre is. Cause my father loves movies and i just happen to adapt it from him. I also do read a lot fantasy, action, travel, romance, sciences just name it. And again author, you nailed it! All the hardwork, sleepless night and so on is worth it. Congratulations for writing a one of the best story. I hope ill get to see or read your stories in the future more.

To the director of the movie, the cast esp our main characters, the one who sponsor the movie too and lastly whoever you are guys who help made this movie too. Guys, you nailed it ?.

In particular, the humiliation of students and never teachers or school principals or anyone around and/or dealing with the situations. The fact that the majority of high school-based dramas are so violent makes me wonder about the secondary schools in Korea.

Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook and Hong Kyun were perfectly portrayed their own characters. I was impressed about the whole story and the rest of the characters. There's a lot of web drama or series about school bullying, we all know that it is somehow happened in real life. I hope that the society should address this issue and act promptly to stand up against bullying.

2. Blue birthday: school drama, thriller. It’s about a girl who goes back in time to find out why her best friend commuted suicide. So the deeper she digs the more she finds out about the truth. However this is not rlly related to bullying.

3. One and only: thriller. It’s about how this grp of mentally ill ppl who murdered this person and how they tried to cover it up. Touches on the background of the characters n how they ended up in this mental home or whatever.

4. Uncanny counter: about this group of ppl who specialise in punishing evil spirits by fighting them, it is dark but there’s also a fantasy aspect, the main character also has his own story which kinda relates to ur theme.

5. Mystic pop up bar : definitely on the comedic side. It’s about this immortal lady who got punished and as a result sent to the human world to help humans solve their problems. She sets up a bar called mystic pop up bar n tgt with her 2 assistants she helps those who are troubled fo solve their problems. So in some of the cases, the ppl who ask for help r being bullied so they go n help punish these bullies. Again, not a school drama.

Kinda gave a short summary of each of the shows but I think u shld also check out the synopsis n the trailers to get a better sense of what the show is like n what u r more attracted fo.

ahn Nov 25 2022 3:31 am i think for this season its a prequel of weak hero main story. i think its a good move to build Si-eun persona here cause its maybe to short if the story start from eunjang high. i think its very good adaptation. for ji-hoon, its my first time seeing him act as a psychotic role. lee yeon is quite cute here compared with in juvenile justice. i feel little bit disappointed choi hyun-wook play as suho here cause we wont be seeing him in the next season.

Second, I am very glad they changed Stephen Ahn's persona because in manhwa he is such a wimpy ass kid. At least in drama he can defend himself. Lastly they change pace to fit the mood and narrative.

I was a bit disappointed at first that it wasn't like the webtoon but the story line and everything made me forget about that. I thought this drama was really good and the story line and action were just perfect. I definitely recommend watching this whether you have read the webtoon or not. Both are good and definitely recommend! The three main leads did a great job acting which enhanced the show a lot. Once again, definitely recommend watching. This show was really good!

Well, first two episodes I realized it wasn't the same (at all) so whatever, let's take it as what it is and not what it could have been, actually i liked the path those 2 episodes were taking

And then i hated it. So much.

it's that kind of show you watch and every 5 minutes you're like "that character was super smart why would he do THAT" repeatedly and you can tell the characters are doing stuff that don't fit their personality but the plot

good acting tho, still hate it

He bring them together but he might feel left out once that wig girl take his spot. Even that girl become closer to sooho and sieun than him. Guess he feel betrayed? Eventho after that what he had done is unforgivable, he is the pitiest one from all. At least others have each other. He will be forever lonely, and with guilt even.

Please don't mistake Stephen/Suho as Ben/Hyumin. Everyone might think it is not the same as webtoon, but the core plot of what happened between Gray, Stephen, and Bryce is the same as the one in the webtoon. Season two will be the start of Gray's life in Eunjang and that's where we will see the Eunjang squad.
