A 5 member gang, led by Seok-Tae (Kim Yun-Seok), kidnaps a baby boy named Hwa-Yi and raises the baby like their own son. The baby boy is now 17 years old (Yeo Jin-Goo) and he has been trained to become a lethal killer. Taking part with his fathers in his first murder, Hwa-Yi learns something about his own past. Hwa-Yi pulls out his gun to find out who he really is.

If ever this happens is reality, i feel bad for the world. Bad people in this world should have a severe covid to the point that they will really suffer. Okay back to the movie, this one is a must watch! Superv acting!

Cherry Jan 03 2020 10:18 pm Yoo Yeon Seok was the reason why I watched this last June 2019 and I reconize Yeo Jin Goo (Hwayi) from (I Miss You, 2013 kdrama). Yeo Jin Goo did an excellent job in this movie.. He deserves all the award he got. He was just 15 years old when this was filmed and he really nailed it. He's a really great actor and now I he's one of my favorite Korean actor along with Yoo Yeon Seok and Son Ho Jun.

a Mar 20 2018 2:15 am This movie didn't quite live up to my expectations. I can't seem to grasp what the message here is or why there is a need for some of the side characters. Also, I feel like a brief clip of the backstories of the other fathers would've added more character to their characters. I just feel like there's something missing or underdeveloped in this movie. However, I must say the transition/development of Hwayi's character is well presented. The only thing that prevented me from giving up on this movie was the excellent acting from the list of talented actors.

If you guys into action and revenge movie, i recommend this movie! And yeah prepare to feel breaking heart because you'll cryinggg and cryingg when watching this movie.

I've watched twice But I am little confused about Hwanyi's real/birth mother? when first time i was watching I was sure that his mother was the one in the hospital, but then when i rewatch the movie I thought the mother was the woman locked up/slave woman... Azerjaban May 17 2016 1:35 pm I'm so glad I finally watched this. This movie was F****** AWESOME. Yes the language is warranted. The acting was spectacular from every character- especially Yeo Jin Goo,I was already impressed with this child actor since The Moon Embraces the Sun and I Miss You, but he literally BLEW ME AWAY here. He covered every single emotional beat, every scene with the veteran actors (who themselves were freaking amazing) perfectly. I can't rave enough about the acting here.

The story was a lot more than I expected. I thought this would be like Coin Locker Girl when it turned vengeful and just become a bloodbath but damn- Hwayi was way smarter than I thought. Some twists I saw coming, others made me pause and rewind.

The monster analogy was very well done, the part where he just stared it down gave me chills.

The cops really got the short end of the stick here but aside from that I loved the ending. Amazing movie all around. Seriously in my top 10 K thrillers.

Hwayi* is one of the best Korean films and rightly won numerous awards in Asia as did Yeo Jin-Goo in the title role. It is intense, complex, and deeply moving as we identify with Hwayi and sit edge-on-seat rooting for him. Be sure to watch through the credits.

Willow Jul 06 2015 12:33 am The first time i watched Yeo Jin Goo it was in Giant Drama and i fell in love with his acting then i searched his movies and i found this. THIS MOVIE IS THE PROOF THAT YEO JIN GOO'S ACTING IS SUPERB. But not just Yeo Jin Goo who is superb here, every cast are definitely AMAZING like seriously amazing. And the storyline... oh my god there're so much emotions here. i admit i was continuously crying since the first time Hwayi killed somebody.

Recommended(y) definitely worth it.

milan Jan 04 2015 11:33 am i love this movie. before, i hesitated to watch it because i thought there'll be too much action, but just now, i finally watched it, i've finally know what the movie is all about, it was AMAZING. guaranteed to everyone who till today, still feel hesitated to watch it.

the cast was amazing, the storyline was amazing, everything was amazing!

maybe, there's too much blood and gore, excessive violence, so everyone be prepare. but the point here is, THE STORY. how it started, how it ended, its perfectly put together. i just don't get the use of the police officer, lol. i guess thats why he's not in the main cast (i questioned that while watching).. i won't comment more cuz *spoiler alert!!*

HWAYI IS AN AMAZING MOVIE, THANK YOU EVERYONE, FOR MAKING THE MOVIE :)

I'd defiantly recommend it and I would tell that person to prepare themselves to cry a whole lot because this movie was so sad and heartbreaking. *i was seriously crying my eyes out* Since I'm a huge fan of action/fighting movies and dramas this was totally my style, love it!!! <3 If your looking for somewhere to watch it I'd recommend dramanice.com that where I watched it.
