Lee Ho-Chul (Jin Goo) works as a firefighter. He is your typical head of household, who loves his wife and daughter. Recently, the media covers an unsolved serial killer case. The case has nothing to do with Lee Ho-Chul, but he receives a text message that states "I will let you know who the serial killer is" and a photo. The photo is of a man holding a knife covered with blood and he is next to a murdered person.

Lee Ho-Chul notices that the man holding the bloody knife is Kwon Shi-Woo (Lee Won-Geun), who lives next door to him. Lee Ho-Chul receives another text message that states "Kill Kwon Shi-Woo within 24 hours. If you don't, you will not see your daughter again." Lee Ho-Chul discovers that his daughter is now missing.

Meanwhile, the person who sent the text message is Bae Tae-Jin (Ha Do-Kwon). He is a hired killer, who chases after serial killer Kwon Shi-Woo. Bae Tae-Jin schemes a plan to kill Kwon Shi-Woo by using Lee Ho-Chul.

Kwon Shi-Woo (Lee Won-Geun) looks like a kind young man with a handsome appearance, but he is a psychopath. He feels a sense of superiority by killing people.

Park Min Mar 02 2024 8:15 pm Disappointing and underwhelming with its lackluster execution and uninspired storytelling. Insufferable and bland thriller/mystery mix that doesn't attempt to put the slightest of efforts. Pretty straightforward and linear story, everything is laid down lazily. Bad dialogue all around that was probably machine generated. Abysmal pacing by amateur director, big chunks of every episodes were silent while the characters roaming very slowly with an awful royalty free background music. The cast performance was suffering as well, maybe the ML was passable but the remainder of the cast were barely average and the main villain was just bad and cringe. On the bright side, at least they didn't push it for an agonizing 16 episodes so that's a win?

Anonymous Oct 10 2022 12:45 am I never skip episodes for crime/thriller drama, but this one.. What a disappointment. I tried to stay, but too many stupidity in the plot. It could've simply end with 2 episodes if the directory are not too eager to make plot twists which are totally unnecessary and stupid. Not recommended to watch at all.

Remember PTS May 08 2022 9:17 am Please bear in mind that the main character suffers from PTS and is unable to return to workforce up to date. Lee Ho-Chul cannot afford to think or face the events he is forced to face. His body likely shuts down all thoughts aside keeping his family safe, making him literally unable to think. It is trauma response. And any kind of trauma response is great, if it helps keeping your mind, your body and your family safe. Please watch the drama while keeping in mind, that the actions of the characters are based on their own traumas and the traumas their families have faced. They aren't acting rationally because people don't tend to act rationally in emergency situations.

It's pretty interesting drama if you manage to remember and understand some of the character settings.

SG Pup 1722 Apr 29 2022 9:55 pm I'm watching episode 6. I do enjoy watching the series although the storyline has gaps, the most exasperating is that the husband (acted by Jin Goo) incredibly doesn't tell his police officer wife that their daughter has been kidnapped!

Okay, the story is based on a webcomic, so the scriptwriter can't change the story details too much, but it's still an incredible bit of stupidity on the husband's part.

Just like how hard is it to tell the killer is who and where the daughter is. Just some ridiculous plot holes which make the series ridiculous. Why the wife knows she is meeting the killer yet didn't have plans to ensure her safety like putting a tracker...feels like the police is useless in tracking the killer . Hope they will give a plausible ending to this series.

Noname Apr 29 2022 3:44 pm I’m on episode 4 and i’m more irritated and annoyed than interested. There were so many opportunities for the main character to catch the killer and all he did was stand around an stare. When they were in the storage container, he could’ve easily ran out, locked the container from the outside while leading the police to his location to catch the killer in the act and red handed. And there so many times both him and the cop could’ve taken pictures and video while they were following the killer to atleast have evidence of who is the actual suspect. And the main character screaming before he decides to attack the killer is like screaming your location to a burglar while they are robbing your house. Smh.

Dong ju's character shouldn't be there. Initially his role looks significant but he died insignificantly. Nothing to do with the actors ..just that the script has poor plot

The professional killer Tae-Jin said because of seriel killer Kwon Shi-Woo, his entire perfect career left a dark stain. It's the SAME for the director's career as well

Disappointed with ocn, it's the no.1 worst drama. Bg music is the good and intense. The script, the plot are extremly bad, the characters are all lacking common sense n totally dumb. Not sure why the production think it's worth to produce , thinking audience will accept this type of quality.

Although it is unfair to compare with another drama "one fine day", which was launched eariier. This drama "one superior day" is definitely not a superior one. 'One mediocre day' suits more.

Those who haven't start watching, save ur precious time for other drama.

I'm expecting too much because this is an OCN TV series Regret is always at the end (lol) ... I've already started this, so I'll finish watching it. If there's someone who's reading the reviews here and haven't started watching this... don't watch this stupid series (lol). Not recommended. Full of stupidity. All of the characters are stupid, and weak (except the serial killer lol). Literally, your blood will boil while watching this. The actors portrayed their role very well (100%) but the plot really sucks. I really hate the writer and director.

Han Apr 04 2022 8:56 am Haha, I agree with Lynn and with all other comments before this. Plot is rather unrealistic, the recent episode being the policewoman investigating on her own. She should have informed her partner who the suspicious person was, why she thought he was suspicious and what led her to believe that he was indeed the killer.

How come the main actor just stand there when someone who help him fighting with the villain. After that guy was stab, only then he remember to spray fire extinguisher towards the villain. So funny. I can make a storyline better then this. With how it is, I don't think the episodes will get better. So, until then.

Kathryn Mar 20 2022 2:24 pm It seems like a good series but there are some details that boggles my mind: how a random person entering a crime scene from a suspected serial killing isn't immediately questioned and investigated? After all, it's common knowledge that serial killers tend to come back to their crime scene. How couldn't the special task force NOT see the connection of the way the murders were presented (blood of the victims obviously painted all over the wall) and not immediately think it was a serial killer (the detective says that only after three or four victims they suspected a serial killer).
