Plot
78-year-old Kenzaburo was once the trumpet player for a legendary jazz band. For the past 50 years Kenzaburo has been confined in a hospital due to having Hansen's disease (leprosy).
Now, Kenzaburo sets out to fulfill a 50 year old promise he made to his former bandmates - to one day play at the jazz club "Sone". Kenzaburo's 21-one-year old grandson, who also plays the trumpet, follows his grandfather in his incredible journey ...
