Kang Tae-Ju (Namkoong Minn) is a neurosurgeon and the director of Woorihamgge Hospital. He is married to Ko Se-Yun (Lee Seol), who is the chairwoman of the hospital. One day, Kang Tae-Ju tells his wife that he wants a divorce, but Ko Se-Yun is kidnapped the next day. Kang Tae-Ju becomes both a fugitive, suspected of kidnapping his own wife, and pursuer to save his wife.

Please keep this up, Writer-nim. ? I'm loving this drama than Agent Kim Reactivated., TBH. The latter started with a bang but now it's been awfully dragging unlike The Husband in which episode after episode just keeps interesting. I can't wait for episode 8.

Wtfff!!! Okay maybe I'm to logical person, but whenever you had a chance run away from kidnapper, run like your LITERAL LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! dont ever STOP or even trust any passer by/stranger or wait for "RANDOM" car in middle of nowhere. IDK wether the Director/ scriptwriter or any of the film staff are just dumb as hell to make the character have survival instinct of a F@#£%ng POTATO!! Also, Kang taeju's character is so slow that his a "WANTED" person and why he doesn't show any sense of urgency, like in the hospital scene. Didn't he knew that the police onto his ass. And when you down a bad guy/girl, don't just stop at 1 hit. Give more hit to make sure no coming back or shoot his/her leg. I could say, this drama could have shorten to 10 or 8 episode cos i feel like draggy somehow.

Olya_1004 Jul 22 2026 4:56 am I'm still midway through episode 6 but I've been saying from the start that the video of him "ordering" the kidnapping seems like a deepfake. He was initially shown too drunk to even keep his eyes open but in the car he suddenly makes such a request? Yeah sure. I'm shocked the cops never thought to check the validity of an anonymous tip.

The other thing is that the kidnappers definitely have a personal connection to both the main guy and the cop whose wife was killed. If money was truly the goal,they would have taken it straight away. My theory initially was that the kidnapper had a wife who was treated by the doctor and died but with episode 6 I'm wondering if maybe it was a child instead? Although it doesn't explain why he needs to kill wives.

I think the drama started off slowly but it's been unraveling and getting more interesting,the wife definitely made some dumb choices,like sticking around to try and save the other woman. I'm also not a huge fan of that actress so far. In the past 6 months she's been in at least 3 dramas I've watched, this one,Gold Land and the ex of ML in Doctor on the edge. In all of these I don't like her characters.

There are a lot of things unclear even though we are on the halfway point. The craziness, Unpredictability scenes, love it

Wonderwhy Jul 20 2026 8:43 pm @hih, i support u! how i wish the kidnapper kill the wife, she's damn annoying, especially when her husband here to save her, and she keep on with tat stupid face, just becoz of that freaking video, another things with @tofu, what's wrong wit u?! what is the reason for her to act the way she act?! she's just a selfish wife who cant accept own wrong/failure and place all blame on her husband! there's no explaination on how her daughter get into accident to begin with and u blame ur husband for not picking up phone, for doing operation in another end?! for own doing?! crazy!

BUT, i do think, the story will show more on what happen to their daughter, maybe there's connection wit the kidnapper husband and wife!

John Abraham Jul 20 2026 1:59 pm At the end of episode 5, the kidnapped wife should have killed the kidnapper when he was temporarily blinded by dust in his eyes. I would have killed the kidnapper when I had a chance, instead of running away from him. Similary at the end of ep 6, he should have keep htting the kidnapper in he head till he died The KIDNAPPER HAS STUPID PLOT ARMOUR

Either the production staff did not put in the effort to make it look real or AI simply is not ready. A plea to the K-Drama industry: don't use AI until it's good enough to fool the viewer.

TBH, The Husband fares better now than Agent Kim Reactivated. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both actors but the latter seems to be written better than the latter albeit the latter shows us exciting action scenes.

She should understand being in the hospital business that he cannot just abandon a patient mid operation. She blamed him, yet wouldn't grant him a divorce. What an annoying character. I have no sympathy for her and her parents. The writer thinks viewers are stupid.

I'll watch ep 4 and if the story doesn't improve, I'll drop it.

Namkoong Min never disappoints and I must say Kim Dae Myung is as versatile as versatility can be. Hmmmm...there are 2 new villains on the block, jim and Choo Sang Wook of Agent Kim Reactivated.

Yes, this may be similar with Gone Girl but my curiosity with the character of Park Byung Eun.

Can't wait for the next episodes!!!!

The first episode masterfully builds a suffocating atmosphere of domestic tension before delivering one of the most shocking cliffhangers I’ve seen in a long time. It is also a treat to see Kim Dae-myung on screen; his incredible range from his previous iconic roles to his performance here adds a brilliant, unsettling layer of intensity to the story. This show is dark, gripping, and deeply suspenseful—I am officially obsessed and cannot wait for the next episode!
