People, including Biotechnologist Kwon Se-Jeong (Gianna Jun), Choi Hyun-Seok (Ji Chang-Wook), Kong Seol-Hee (Shin Hyun-Bin), Choi Hyun-Hee (Kim Shin-Rok) and Han Kyu-Seong (Ko Soo), are trapped inside a building that is sealed off due to an unidentified infection. They fight against these infected people who are evolving in unpredictable forms.

INMYOP Jul 25 2026 2:02 am Top notch actors and actresses for sure,, but the story line was boring and made no sense. About 45 mins into the movie I was thinking what is all this? I didn’t feel any excitement or any emotions. No part of this was worth watching. I’ll give it 3/10 since the actors did very well.

Storyline & Concept: 5/5 — A brilliant evolution of total-survival horror. The concept of a slime-mold-based pathogen creating an interconnected "colony" that can communicate changes everything. It’s smart, tightly paced, and refreshing.

Cast & Performances: 5/5 — Masterclass ensemble acting. Jun Ji-hyun commands the screen with absolute grit and intelligence, wonderfully supported by Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-bin, Kim Shin-rok, and Go Soo. Her historic, award-winning turn—making waves as the first Korean actress to win the prestigious Extraordinary Star Asia Award at the New York Asian Film Festival for this very role—cements this as a landmark performance. F Jun 28 2026 2:43 pm If this is a prequel of Train to Busan, then Peninsula is the sequel of Train to Busan, does it mean Seo Young-cheol (Colony) and Seo Dae-hwi (Peninsula) are one person or related? Because they were portrayed by Koo Kyo-hwan.

hello Jun 17 2026 7:16 am The thrill is okay, quite thrilling from the beginning until the end. The story is actually good, but probably the action is showcased more. Gotta love the siblings' story, it's very heartbreaking. There's actually meaning/lesson learned from each character, but I feel like it's again overshadowed by the action. They focused more on the zombies/infected and less on the storyline. As of acting, they are all good actors but it's somehow lacking. The best will be Ji Chang Wook and Kim Shin Rok. Overall 7/10

Too many plot hole like stupid desicion. I think lot of unnecessary decision made for the sake of plot.

And ending? welll.. the final battle is kind of lame and dissapointing. you will said like "just like that?" "oh... thats it?"

FYI* you need to kill a monster, and what weapon you should bring? nothing!!! well... i wont face a zombie with my bare hands, it a common sense dude...

so for me... this is a good movie with bad execution, so i give it 7.5/10
