Im Se-Ra was a popular celebrity, but she suddenly disappeared. 25 years later, she appears as Bong Cheong-Ja (Uhm Jung-Hwa), who is an ordinary middle-aged woman. She has lost the past 25 years of her memories. She prepares her tearful comeback show to regain her lost memories and her shining place. Meanwhile, Dokgo Cheol (Song Seung-Heon) used to be an enthusiastic detective in the violent crimes department. Due to an unexpected incident, he was demoted to a traffic police officer. He then disguises himself as a manager and goes undercover, in hopes of returning to the violent crimes department. Bong Cheong-Ja, who is claiming to be top star Im Se-Ra, appears and Dokgo Cheol faces a spectacular change.

irish Dec 09 2025 6:01 am Wow this drama is so good! Why is it so underrated??? Middle-aged romcoms are really the best! Uhm Junghwa never fails! I also enjoyed her last drama Doctor Cha. And Song Seungheon is so fine??? I can’t believe he’s already 49!! The younger actors are so cute, i wish they had more screen time. And lastly, Cha Chunghwa and Hyun Bongsik are the best combination of supporting actors! They never fail to make me laugh whenever they’re on screen kkkk love this drama!!

The actors are not in their 20s, more like baby vintage LOL .. but the story is still super cute and heartwarming! I swear!

I really love Uhm Jung-Hwa = her acting, face expressions, and energy are the BEST! Such a talented senior actress . Please stay healthy and come back with another drama like this soon!

For Song Seung-Heon, = honestly this is my first time watching him,,, didn’t know he’s also a senior actor! Sorry uncle haha. His acting is calm but full of emotion, really good! Please stay healthy and do more dramas like this too!

Also, Cha Chung-Hwa and Hyun Bong-Sik were so funny here! Hahhaha.. Usually they play serious or parent roles, but this time they were different, so fun to watch! I laughed so much!

The soundtracks “Again” and “Lost Star” are beautiful , they bring that nostalgic 1999 feeling.

Please make another drama with Uhm Jung-Hwa, Song Seung-Heon, Cha Chung-Hwa, and Hyun Bong-Sik together again ,,, it would be so funny and amazing! hahaha

czawin Oct 16 2025 3:47 am Song Seung Heon is absolutely swoon-worthy in this drama — he truly never ages! I’ve been a fan since Endless Love, and it makes me so happy to see him still acting and taking on roles that showcase both his charm and emotional depth. His dimples, his voice, that manly charisma — everything about him is perfection! I really hope he keeps doing projects for many more years to come.

The cast is truly A-list and well-balanced. Lee El was fantastic, even as the villain — she always picks great projects and delivers such powerful performances. Ji Jin Hee, another effortlessly handsome and talented actor, added so much class and depth to the story. And Uhm Jung Hwa — what a queen! Her acting was so heartfelt, and her final speech was absolutely tear-jerking. It perfectly reflected how far her character had come. I’m so glad she continues to get roles that show her range and strength.

Cha Chung Hwa and Hyun Bong Sik added so much laughter and fun to the show! Every scene with them made me smile — they have such great comedic timing and chemistry. The drama was extra special because of them.

Oh Dae Hwan was also incredible as the unpredictable villain — he kept me guessing right until the end! And the younger versions of the leads, played by Jang Da A and Lee Min Jae, were adorable and did such a great job bringing warmth and innocence to their characters (and yes, Lee Min Jae is definitely very good-looking too!). The ending flashback showing their younger selves was just the sweetest touch.

And can we talk about the bloopers at the end? They were so cute! Thank you for showing them — it felt like a bonus gift for fans. Getting to see Song Seung Heon up close and laughing behind the scenes… he’s just so handsome!

Though My Troublemaker Star is a romantic comedy, it’s also full of heart, humour, and inspiration. Each episode leaves you wanting more. The music deserves a special mention too — the band that plays at the end adds that nostalgic, old-school warmth that makes the show feel comforting and timeless.

Overall, it’s a heart-warming, funny, and beautifully cast drama that reminds you why you fell in love with K-dramas in the first place.

Jillibean Oct 02 2025 9:07 pm It was a pleasant time slip type of rom com, with melodramatic scenes as well, and it was acted very well by the whole cast. The writing took it down a notch in my estimation because it was a little confusing to follow, with secrets revealed much later in the drama. However, I enjoyed seeing the reunion of Seung Hun Song and Uhm Jung Hwa from Wonderful Nightmare, the 2015 film. I could tell they enjoyed working together and had a lot of laughs playing scenes off one another.

sara Aug 22 2025 1:25 pm a very weak start for a drama with veteran actor and actress as leads.. and uhm jung hwa acting is over the top, idk why.. she is such a good actress that im surprised why she has acted like this.. story so far is pretty boring, i fast forwarded scenes... the way people are behaving after knowing that she has lost her memory is really weird.. i mean its not like she can help it if she cant recall anything, whats up with the meanest behavior? so far everything has been super unrealistic.. hopefully it will improve because i love both uhm jung hwa and song seung hoon and it would be a pity to drop their drama

titafaney Aug 20 2025 12:29 am I wasn't expecting much, just some light comedy with My Troublesome Star. But it's turning out to be beyond comedy. I see glimpses of serious plot twists that will make this a standout drma-comedy. Episodes 1 & 2 are well written, well presented, well directed, fast-paced and very well acted. It's very engaging. Excited to see the nest episodes next week.
