"Inside Stories of Prosecutors" depicts the everyday lives of prosecutors who work like salarymen.

Lee Sun-Woong (Lee Sun-Kyun) works as a prosecutor in the district office in Jinyoung. He seems relaxed and doesn't appear to have a desire to succeed.

Cha Myung-Joo (Jung Ryeo-Won) is an elite prosecutor on the fast track in the Central District Prosecutor's Office in Seoul. One day, she is suddenly transferred to the district public prosecutor's office in Jinyoung.

Only sorrow is losing Lee Sun Kyun - what a great actor - his voice overs are amazing and his acting was so comedic and poignant. Definitely worth your time if you enjoy character driven stories.

stillmonster Jan 16 2024 6:50 pm 1000/10 drama. this is probably my favorite drama of all time, and i’m someone who has been watching kdramas since 2009. i’m such a sucker for slice of life dramas. i’ve been meaning to watch this because reply 1988 and misaeng are in my top 10. lee sunkyun’s news pushed me to watch this. first of all, i like how they didn’t add romance between our two leads. another thing i like is how realistic our characters are. the subtle humor is also my favorite too. i love everything about this drama. idk why it’s so underrated.

This is a fabulous show I am enjoying it so much. Actually I'm bin watching but every time I say this is the last episode I'm going to bed I start another one and on and on it goes. When I watch a program I always ask myself can I watch this again and if the answer is yes, then I know that it's a five-star production. So well acted, fabulous script, great direction and production. Bravo!

Suzanne Sep 29 2023 7:41 am I just finished this drama with tears in my eyes, I didn’t want it to end.The writing & directing were so smart. As usual, the acting was superb. I started it months ago & quit after a few minutes, because I thought it was going to be too slow & boring. Desperate for something to watch, I returned to watch it without my husband, because I figured he wouldn’t care for it. I Loved this more with every episode. I hesitate to name actors, because every actor did an amazing job. I will definitely search for dramas with Lee Sun-kyun, I loved his character. I despised Jung Ryeo-won’s character & thought, I know they’re going to redeem her before the end, but I will not fall for it! She did a stellar job holding back & not overly dramatizing her role. I want to name everyone, but I won’t. The humor was subtle, but hilarious, the whole team was so endearing, the jerks were so unlikable & all of the reasons this American household will only watch Korean productions were present in Diary of a Prosecutor. The messaging makes me a better person, the entertainment lets me escape the harsh realities of the world & I get to laugh…a lot. That’s a very good thing. I will definitely watch this again with my husband at some point.

Lars May 17 2023 7:50 pm Watched this on Netflix. It is one of the worst dramas I've ever seen. The low ratings well deserved. This is not funny, not even hilarious, not entertaining but simply annoying and you're in a bad mood afterwards. After watching the first 5 episodes I started skipping episodes, but it got so bad, I didn't even cared to watch the final one. E.g. the female lead may be a good actor but because of this ?drama? (It's no drama) and her annoying role, she's almost on my black list.

Not here - entertaining from beginning till the end. Cast and acting were superb, a lot of familiar faces but in a different setting which I loved. Highly recommended!

Great workplace story with no romance but great chemistry between the male and female leads and excellent character development of the secondaries. Loved the romance between the young attorney and the assistant. Very funny. Interesting cases too. Not sure why it did not do so well in the ratings but I ended up bingeing it.

I somehow got caught up in the organizational struggles of the prosecutors office and the painful brutal relationships/bullying within…kinda ugly stuff. The application of justice to cases & insidious corruption that was part of the job was jarring, sad and plain frustrating. Somewhat unbearable to watch some episodes…certainly not a boring moment. Worth watching for sure.

May Feb 20 2023 11:43 pm This drama teaches a lot of lessons. In episode 7 where bullying is the case, it really hits me emotionally for those students who were bullied and resorted to suicide. This is common in schools in Sokor and I am really not convince that their government is doing or facing and addressing this kind of situation. I hope this bullying will stop and prosecute major punishment even minor is involved. Laws are useless if no one is punished.

Park Min Oct 17 2022 9:39 pm This is the best prosecutor k-drama out there! It strikes a great balance between seriousness and lightness. Evey single person of the cast did a phenomenal job, synergistic and full of life characters. It managed to capture a unique vibe and created its own identity, this what make you remember a drama for a very long time. On a strange coincidence, Jung Ryeo Won had done 3 consecutive dramas that are "law" themed, not complaining she is doing great but I wish to see a little more variations in the future.

If u are trying to find an interesting drama to watch give this one a try, it will bring smiles and laughter :)

It shows the real issues of the world when it comes to justice and the workplace but yet it isn't dull or boring at all. Love all the characters in criminal dept 2! Script writer did a great job.

As mentioned by others, if you enjoyed Prison Playbook, this is the one for you. Lee Sun Kyun does an outstanding job playing the not-so-ambitious but rather rebellious prosecutor. Lee Sung Jae's character is also starting to grow on me. You'll probably understand what I mean as you approach towards the end of the drama. Criminal Investigation Team 2 hwaiting!!

There is humor, sentiment, and drama. If you liked Misaeng (Unfinished Life), My Mister, or Wise Prison Life, I highly recommend this one! In my opinion, it was the best drama of 2019.

The world is not fair, both Prosecutor Cha and Lee learnt a great lesson from the ex prosecutor who was the real owner of the gold ruler, both of them are trying to uphold her advice is very nice to see. The last ep is satisfying to me. Prosecutor Cha is slowly becoming more silly like Prosecutor Lee lol, I was half expecting the "kind" policemen to drive her to the office. And Prosecutor Lee continues to suffer till the end hahaha..

It was both a great comedy as well as a great procedural drama illustrating common elements and the humanism of prosecutors. I honestly thought this was going to be a serious drama at first however after the first couple episodes of laughter I got hooked. Everyone did a great job. Finally Kim Pro and Sung Miran haha totally ship them.

Thoroughly enjoyed the episodes on video games and the generation gap, working mom v single career minded, greed for power & corruption, sadly one too many divorced dads, and yet young ones blossom in love, great drama, wonderful acting. Enjoyed every episode except the last one where Lee Sun-Wong couldn’t prosecute the corrupted. Hope there’s a sequel!? Lastly, who is the woman singer in the episode 10, 1:02:35?

b Feb 12 2020 1:36 am I alredy finished the drama and I don't regret watching it at all! The drama was so fun and the story isn't being 'rushed', and there are always funny moments that are actually really funny and good messages in every episode. But, the only thing that still a bit dissappointing is that there was no revelation of who is the owner of Fog :(

Great series. Lee Sun Woong is quite childish and emotional but his expressions and postures never fail to make me laugh.

Just a Fan Feb 08 2020 5:21 am A heartwarming and quirky slice of life surrounding a group of prosecutors in a rural city. Currently on episode 7 and enjoying it so far. My fav ep is the one where they work to capture a gambling association, it's just so funny in an unexpected way. The other cases make you reflect and think about your own actions. Love all the casts!

wayer Jan 23 2020 8:54 pm Those looking for crime cases presented at court, please leave haha.. the drama turn 180 degrees from what I expected, and it is a diary about ordinary people like us, only their jobs are prosecutors. As we all know prosecutors in Soukor are usually portrayed as bribe taking swindling and what not. In this drama we see that too, but we see them as humans that make decisions and justifications for all their actions. I love it. Human drama with k-dramatic elements!

LKB Jul 26 2019 1:46 am You know you've seen too many kdramas for too long when someone you think of as a kid (JRW) is actually 38 and almost as old as a guy you established as 'right, he's an ahjussi now' a handful of years ago when the small 6 year difference between them feels like a mountain-she never grew old, whereas he got kids and got a bit of a soft belly and all the other things you are supposed to do around 40 lol. It feels weird since I've been watching her longer but it's like he started off as an ahjussi even when he was 28-30 :P

I didn't like her character in that drama but still, she was really charming. Looking forward to watching this drama. So excited!
