Ha Yun-Seo (Shin Hyun-Bin) is single and works as a team leader at a large company. She is attractive, has a nice personality, and is respected at her company. When she was younger, she took her younger brother and left her family because of domestic violence. She has now matured into a confident and pragmatic person. Her boyfriend is Seo Ju-Won (Moon Sang-Min), who is younger than her. He works as a staff member at the same company where Ha Yun-Seo works. To her surprise, Ha Yun-Seo learns that her boyfriend is the son of the chaebol family that runs her company. Seo Ju-Won's mother then reaches out to Ha Yun-Seo to break up with her son and offers her money to do so. Ha Yun-Seo believes fairy tales doesn't exist in her world and decides to take the money from his mother and break up with Seo Ju-Won. But, Seo Ju-Won believes in love and follows his heart faithfully. He tries his best to change Ha Yun-Seo's mind.

Love the cast even when the two staff are super nosy.

ellie Mar 09 2025 6:54 am This drama shouldn't have included a tragic backstory if they were going to execute it poorly, especially if Shin Hyunbeen's acting can't compensate for the haphazard script. It was also weird to see Moon Sangmin play a 'Director' role when his jaw isn't even defined yet ㅠㅠ I liked him in Under The Queen's Umbrella and the role suited him then, but for rom-coms... I think he should wait it out and practice some more.

Still, this drama gave enjoyable five minute parts for the second leads (and I wish they gave Sojin and Yoon Park more screentime than dedicate it to office gossips between the same two somewhat annoying and disrespectful characters every time) which is why I got through it. To be honest, if anyone's looking for a decent romcom, I can't even recommend this unless somebody cuts up Lee Mijin's and Seo Siwon's parts only. That's all.

He was dumped without any explanation, and there's not a drop of anger in him?! She's a gray mouse, but two stunning guys are courting her, despite all her antics?! Do you believe it? Many have written here that the main couple has no chemistry. But it's not the actors' fault, but the scriptwriter's, who was so fixated on her twist of accepting money and breaking up that she made FL a cold dried fish. Please show me where in the entire drama FL showed her love for ML! What did she do to deserve a white dress and a ring at the end of the drama? I was so annoyed by all this that I almost abandoned this drama in the middle!

Second Lead For The Win!!! Sep 18 2024 9:10 am Thank goodness it is 10 episodes because it is getting boring and dull with her nonsense moping. I mean, it isn't the actress' fault the writing sucks for her character. some dramas are 10 episodes and some are 54 and more and this drama should have ended at 8 episodes. The only saving factor is the second leads. My goodness they are good and they are the only ones making me come back. As soon as the episodes are released, I fastforward to see their parts first before going back and slowly fastforwarding the episode.

2nd lead couple Sep 09 2024 1:05 am I really like the 1st lead couple here but I seldom watch love triangles. Of course they wrote the artist's backstory so you can understand where he's coming from but I still don't like it. I couldn't finish My Beloved Summer coz I feel sad for the 2nd male love triangle lead.

Anyways, the 2nd lead story suddenly becomes interesting so I probably won't drop it yet, hope their story develops well & they have good enough screentime for a 2nd lead couple

Lim Sep 02 2024 5:02 am I’ve watched too many dramas and a lot of office romance stories and I just love the stories, I rarely find dramas that doesn’t leave a “butterfly in the stomach” feels, this one is included in my list of no chemistry of first leads at all. Despite the visuals of the male lead it lacks that tickle that I usually find even in those “noona” stories, older FL rom coms are worth binge watching but this one, I think I am gonna drop. I like the ML on his other portrayals such as in Under the Queen’s Umbrella and the one where he played as a soon to be brother in law of the bride, and I love him on those plays. What I find worth watching on this drama are the 2nd leads, Yoon Park and Sojin, they’ve got good chemistry and I look forward to watch them more.

David Aug 31 2024 6:39 am I think I am going to like this. I am one who buys the blu-ray but I also watch on streaming first. I like the actors and actresses from their past drama. I also love age difference stories (and anything that is not the usual mainstream rules story) and love these beautiful people, not western tattoos and ink and cellulite and bla bla bla just good looking people.. smash in the face of the mainstream rules

The actors and actresses are really good, and I've seen them for their past dramas and they were really able to pull it off. However, for this drama, the cast and the characters are just a bit off. It doesn't match hence I can't feel the chemistry. The male lead has such a baby face that I can't feel the vibe of his rizz.

I mean, in usual and serious romantic stories, a woman who gets an offer to get paid to break up with her lover will refuse. And things will go dramatic and dragging along the way. But this...what if the woman accepts the money outright. I'd put this in my watch list. I like romance stories who doesn't follow the cliche story lines. I'd put this on my list.

Anas Aug 24 2024 12:06 pm I previously have issue with the age gap and worry how both MLs would pull the characters especially since I am big fan of Shin Hyun Been since Jang Gyeoul era. However, after watching the first episode, I dont think I should let my worry stop me from watching. Sangmin portraying Juwon with mature character and you dont really feel such big age gap. Imho, they both nail the characters well and I'm definitely looking forward to watch next episodes

Find kinda funny that Shin Hyun Bin’s previous project was with a 13 years older ML, and here’s she is 14 years older. Don’t think its a problem tho, just hope it won’t be another noona romance, where age gap is stressed like in some others kdramas i couldn’t care to finish
