When Aoi Uemura (Riko) was in the 3rd grade of middle school, she got fed up with her parents who were always fighting with each other. She went to her grandmother's house, where her mother grew up, and stayed with her grandmother during her summer vacation. There, she met Iori Tachibana (Kazuto Mokudai), who was also in the 3rd grade of middle school. They fell in love with each other, but they failed to reveal their feelings to each other. Aoi Uemura returned her home and they got disconnected.
3 years later, Aoi Uemura is now in the 3rd grade of high school. Due to her father’s adultery, her parents got divorced. Aoi Uemura transfers to a new high school, where her mother graduated from, and there she reunites with Iori Tachibana as his classmate.
