Seok Ji-Won (Ju Ji-Hoon) and Yoon Ji-Won (Jung Yu-Mi) were born on the same day and in the same town. They also share the same given name of Ji-Won, but their families have been enemies for generations. They studied at the same schools, but, they were rivals and growled whenever they made eye contact.

During Seok Ji-Won’s student days, he was a cheerful person and good with education and sports. Due to his family's situation, he left his hometown with his family. Now, Seok Ji-Won is an adult and works as senior managing director at Seokban Construction. He returns to his hometown as the chairman of Dokmok High School, which he and Yoon Ji-Won attended. There, he reunites with Yoon Ji-Won, who works as a PE teacher. During her student days, she was called "Mad Dog," because she couldn't tolerate injustice or bad practices. She had to confront these situations and try to correct them. As she experienced more difficulties while becoming an adult, her "Mad Dog" tendencies have gone into hibernation. After reuniting with Seok Ji-Won, the old Yoon Ji-Won begins to emerge again.

Cyrel May 17 2025 6:05 am The chemistry is overflowing I hope the teen Yun Jiwon and Seok Jiwon will have another drama together the pairing is unmatched and the acting isn't cringe at all. The OST especially the Be In Love and Day after Day is so so good, it's make me want to fall in love hayyyyy

firyk Mar 25 2025 10:27 am This drama is quite light and enjoyable, just as expected from a rom-com. The main actors are very famous, and their performances were great. However, what really caught my attention were the teenage versions of the main charactersSeok Ji-won (played by Hong Min Ki) and Yeon Ji-won (played by Oh Ye Ju).

Their visuals are, of course, stunning, but what stood out the most was their amazing chemistry. They played their roles so well, perfectly following the storyline. From being enemies to slowly falling in love, their relationship felt so real. During their dating phase, they looked truly happy, just like a real couple in love. Then, as misunderstandings started to grow, they drifted apart and experienced deep pain. Every emotion—happiness, love, heartbreak, and sadness—was delivered so naturally that I could really feel it as a viewer.

Last but not least, I really hope these two "teen Ji-wons" will reunite in another project as lead actors in the future. To be honest, they are the reason I still can’t move on from this story. Overall, this drama was super fun to watch!

Lexi Feb 06 2025 7:58 am I love this drama soo much. I keep going back to rewatch. The chemistry between Seok Ji-Won (teen & adult) and Yoon Ji-Won (teen & adult) was everything. 12 episodes was perfect. I am so happy they did not drag it for 16 episodes. Mature romance dramas are the best.

I’m looking forward to their other K-drama projects, especially young Seok-ji and Yun-ji ?

I love LND a lot but I think I like the love-hate relationship on this one more. Most of the time, I don't usually care that much about the "young leads" but both the young FL & ML did Incredible.. their chemistry is insane!!

This could easily become oh yeju's (young yun jiwon) first major role if they (along with her partner) was just given this drama their own project as main casts and not just characters from the past. Their story is the most beautiful part in this series, they definitely have chemistry compared to the main actors.

I'm fine with ju ji hoon, i watched this show because of him, the teenage actor and him actually have a bit similarities but oh yeju's counterpart in the present (jung yumi) just couldn't give justice to her character. Yun jiwon is a strong and charming character but the actress playing the adult version couldn't keep up with the young actress' acting skills.

Jung yumi isn't suitable for this kind of genre. She's trying too hard with her weird expressions, what are even those random eyebrows flash for??

I would even name her as a newbie actor if its not for her previous projects according to this site. She's just bad at acting comedic roles, idk about her other roles, but certainly not enough to match with ju ji hoon. They don't have chemistry.

Just finished watching it, and oh my oh my...what a story...the comedy, the conflict, the love story, the side love story, everything complemented each other to a great full drama ... I still don't get why everyone criticize the FL outfit or even the acting... What's wrong with it? They deliver it perfectly... Oh I know...it's because it was not Kim Ji Won, or Bae Suzy, or Han Soo Hee, or Song He Kyo who played the character...?

GM Jan 01 2025 9:33 am It’s an okay drama for me. At first I was really excited about the premise. But after 7 episodes of bickering, I felt like it wasn’t going to end. I also thought the family feud was the problem of them breaking up, since it seemed like the overall story. However, all the adult misunderstanding was only caused by a jealous friend. Hahaha…major disappointment. So it all boiled down to a petty love triangle and deleted text messages. Huhuhu. Maybe I had a different expectation of the story. Haha.

Their chemistry is sooo good and knowing they’re both actors with a history of outstanding films makes seeing them in this drama even more interesting. I can’t wait for the next 4 episodes!!

This drama is truly refreshing, enjoyable and incredibly entertaining~ perfect for wrapping up the year.

Great cast, blending love hate relationship, perfect slice of time, great soundtrack, good editing, and better rating. Love next door only so- so romcom that launching at the wrong year, it should be at earlier 2000 I think, but Love your enemy suitable for 2024 romcom, I think it's one of the best kdrama this year.

Inmo Dec 15 2024 1:38 am Man, it's been a while that a recent year TvN drama made me cry this much. I can totally feel their pain, it resonate with me. I also think both lead actors are doing really great in their roles. I liked Jeong Yumi since The Nurse School Files hoping to see her more in Rom-Com and this is just a blessing. The writers did really well too. I can't wait until the final episode. 10/10.

On the other hand, the teenagers FL and ML are charming and talented.

Watching Joon Ji Hoon back-to-back on this drama and on Light Stop on Disney + is such a treat!!! Hope this drama stays as good as the 4 episodes. ? The young ML and FL are very good in their characters.

ML usually is cast in serious rolls, but I am enjoying the light comedy and he is doing a good job. Don't like the character of the FL, can't figure out why anyone likes her, but actress doing a good job as well. Overall good so far, but too many dramas go off the rails midway through and have a sloppy ending. Hope this stays as good as the first four episodes are promising.
