There is an old, but special hospital in the Kabukicho district of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Because of the surrounding entertainment district, the hospital receives people that are different than the average Japanese person. The patients that visit the hospital include homeless people, foreign residents, hosts, and sex workers. One day, a mysterious woman named Yoko Nishi Freeman (Eiko Koike) appears at the hospital. She is a doctor with a U.S. citizenship and military medical experience from the U.S. She begins to work at the hospital and becomes a presence that brightens up everything around her. Meanwhile, Toru Takamine (Taiga Nakano) is a beauty dermatologist, but he studies anesthesia at his uncle’s hospital where Yoko Nishi Freeman begins to work. Toru Takamine dreams of remodeling his uncle's hospital and opening a cosmetic surgery hospital, but, after he meets he meets Yoko Nishi Freeman, his life changes.
