Lee Mi-Jin (Jung Eun-Ji) is a single woman in her 20's. She has been struggling to find a decent job for years. While preparing to get a job, she does part-time work and obtains skill certificates. One day, when she wakes up in the morning, she finds herself in the body of someone in her 50's. Since then, when the sun rises, she becomes the person in her 50's. During the night, she returns to her 20's self. She takes her tragedy as an opportunity to get a job. During the day, she begins to work as an intern at Seohan District Public Prosecutors' Office with the name of Lim Sun (Lee Jung-Eun). She works for Prosecutor Gye Ji-Ung (Choi Jin-Hyuk). Even though she appears as a woman in her 50's, she is an all-round intern who can easily accomplish various tasks.

Meanwhile, Gye Ji-Ung is a prosecutor who works on drug cases at the Seohan District Public Prosecutors' Office. He is smart and handsome, but he is a perfectionist, who doesn’t tolerate mistakes, and his life revolves around his work. Due to his extreme attitude, his staff members usually quit one after the other. He decides to hire Im Soon and he somehow gets involved with Lee Mi-Jin during the night.

Angelinaa Mar 14 2025 11:09 am This drama is really good. I've stopped watching rom-com dramas a few years ago especially with any idol in it and started to liking more crime thriller dramas. I started watch this drama because Choi Jin Hyuk in it and it becomes my new favorite rom-com drama. It's light and heartwarming. Not just the main casts, but everyone does their role perfectly. Her friend Ga Yeong and Ju Byung Duk add more comedy and warmthness in this drama. And there is no annoying mean character that usually in a drama to compete to get the male character. The plot twist also unpredictable. Gye Ji Ung really gives me butterflies in my stomach. Lee Jung Eung as Lim Sun is really perfect. Lim Sun character gives warmthness in this drama. And Jung Eun Ji, wow.. how could you be so good at both singing and acting? This drama is really really really fun and worth to watch.

I'm usually not binge-watching, only 2 or 3 episodes twice during the weekend and it was so hard to wait for the next weekend to see how it continues. Right before I watched Zombie Detective, so I was surprised to see Choi Jin-Hyuk again :D Despite some flash backs and a few other typical K-Drama moments that won't really happen in real live, this drama was so much fun and never boring. I usually fear the endings of K-dramas, but here it is perfect! The cast is so great and fun to watch. And:

Lee Jung-Eun rocked it! No more words needed :D

Geoff Jan 28 2025 7:24 am So, I just finished binging on this drama, and as I mentioned in a previous comment, after seeing the first four episodes, Lee Jung-eun really crushed it in her role as Miss Day. Jung Sun-ji was also excellent as Miss Night. She and Choi Jin-hyuk had great chemistry, and the way their relationship unfolded was so well paced, and felt so natural. Some spoilers ahead.

Ko-won was underutilized as character, and it was weird that the FL never once told her bestie that he knew about her condition, or that she was close to him, given that bestie was a massive fan. Maybe they didn’t wan't the bestie side plot to be to obvious, but I feel like she and Ko-won would have been a better fit than bestie and Mr Ju. Really? He was the most annoying person in the show. I’d like to see the scene Ga-young introduce him to her father as he boyfriend. There were also a few plot-holes. One minor one was that they showed Lim Sun being loaded into an ambulance after they have already located buried bodies and neatly layed out their bones on sheets. By the time forensics got that far, Lim Sun would probably have been both admitted and discharged from the hospital already. Also, after Mi-jin had successfully gotten away from the villain, and Ji-ung had soon after caught up with the villain, how were they shown coming from opposite directions? At times towards the end, the show dragged on a bit, and the way Mi-jin distanced herself from Ji-ung mad no sense to me, especially once she stopped shapeshifting. It seems like they made her character do that just so they could show her ‘finding herself’ before they resumed their relationship. That just seemed contrived to me. But like I said, overall I really liked how their romance developed, especially in the earlier episodes, showing them gradually get closer, and more comfortable, not just with each other, but with their own feelings.

Geoff Jan 27 2025 6:41 am Four episodes in and I really like it. Lee Jung-eun crushes it as the older Miss Day. The one thing I am not really a fan of is the offensive way Prosecutor Gye Ji-woong and his office sidekick purposefully trie to get rid of Lim Soon, just because of her age. The way he audibly and demonstrably sighed and refused to shake her hand when she was assigned to his office was kind of off-putting. Is that kind of workplace discrimination not only socially acceptable, but also legal in South Korea? I mean, we are talking about public employees in a prosecutors office. Even when she very obviously succeeds brilliantly at all the tasks she is ridiculously asked to complete, the two of them, instead of appreciating a good employe, are focused on what else thy must do to get rid of her. So disgusting.

If you ask why she can't tell the parent about the switch, you can see her parents reaction at first everytime she become Lim Sun, they always angry and wanna beat her with baseball bat eventhough she says it is her. The story and everything was good. It slays the genre and done it so well. And I already on my third rewatch, because I tend to forget everything after 3 months lmao. Overall, i rate it 9.7/10, it got a decent amount of flaws, but it was good for me. I love fiendship between Lee Mi-Jin and Do Ga-Yeong. They support each other so well. And you absolutely should watch this drama until the end to answer all the question you had when watching this! ^^

Jojo Oct 29 2024 4:17 am It was a good drama series, although I think they dragged it towards the end. Became boring and I fast forward a lot of the repeated scenes of him when he was little and thought it was his mother's body from the hotel - that was painful. I couldn't understand the story of why she had the body switch? There was no straightforward explanation other than the cat having some kind of significance, but the main girl fumbled her way through the story and somehow accepted her fate of living her life as an older woman that resembled her Aunt.

I really enjoyed watching this drama and the idea of the perpetrator being a woman is refreshing. I really admired Mi Jin and Ga Young's friendship because every time they cried, I cried too. If I have to nitpick, I wish we got more scenes of Ko Won, it feels like the director abandoned his character. I would love to see his involvement during the scene when Mi Jin gets kidnapped (like twice) but we didnt see it which is a bit disappointing. But still, this is a great drama.

From the angle camera when he came earlier to office and suddenly he was surprise to see Gye already in office, how he always curious about Gye daily life, and when he choose to sleepover in Gye house after Baek in jail. And he also lie about his wife

It a romantic comedy crime! lol Really great acting, writing, music, production, and story. I am sure why the comments below are so negative. The ending was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Yeah it felt a bit rush but in comparison to others, it’s is a vast improvement. Some dramas just ended, thus drama at least gave closer to the stories which I appreciate. The surface it just feel like another romcom but in reality is a deep story with strong connections. I loved the supporting characters which a sign of very good writing. Please watch, you will want to keep going which for me tells me this is a drama to watch.

This drama is alive thanks to JungEun Ahjumma sHe is indeed second to none, her acting is very good and funny. Not only her.. all the actors in this drama are very good. For the plot of this drama is not boring at all. This is my first time watching a drama played by Eunji. And I was entertained. But I'm still confused, who is JungEun Ahjumma's role, is she really Eunji's aunt or what? I'm afraid I'm still missing an important scene.

The only thing that make me cringe is Jung Eun Ji. Why she always put on the make up everytime everywhere? When you go to bed, please put the light make up. It's okay if your hair messy. But, it's really unnatural if your hair is sleek, your face full on make up, in the morning when you wake up!

Still, this is the best kdrama for me this year. I also love yoon beung hee acting. He and lee jung eun so funny lol

dramalover Aug 07 2024 11:07 am I totally loved this drama! Its something you enjoy if you go with the flow. Remember one of the genre is fantasy.

The comedy moments are included in each episode and they were gold! Good acting by all the cast. Lee Jung Eun steals the show in starting episodes.

Choi Jinhyuk and Jung Eunji shine in later half. They were very good too, Especially Eunji's acting in last two episodes impressed me.

Overall a pretty good watch! I recommend others to watch it definitely!

Steve Aug 05 2024 11:03 am If you are looking for a romance, you will not find it with Miss Night & Day. This is mostly a standard crime drama with some good laughs but not much suspense. In fact, it answers all the questions you never had in a single episode towards the end. Lee Jung-Eun is good as usual, but was expecting Jung Eun-Ji to be the center of a romance where we could see her express emotions like longing, euphoria, heartache, and acceptance.

Thus, I just recently started watching it and I'm really enjoying it. I have seen most of the actors and actresses in this TV series before. They are all very good performers! But what caught my attention this time is the performance of Lee Jung-Eun. She's a great actress, very versatile. There's no question about it. I've seen her in a few TV Series titles. I didn't know that she could act funny as well. I love your acting here Jung-Eun! Now I became an overnight fan of yours! Thanks to the producers and all those involved in the production. Keep up the good work.

Clark Aug 04 2024 7:55 pm There were times when I fast-forwarded through parts of this series, but overall I really enjoyed it. Kudos to Lee Jung-Eun, who did a good job with the most difficult role. I have no idea how closely any of these dramas reflect life in South Korea and it might be all contrived and over-the-top (like in the USA). However, having watched many Kdrama series at this point, what stood out to me about this one was the relationship between Lee Mi-Jin and her bestie Do Ga-Yeong. I want to believe that what I saw was representative of real-life Korean friends' relationship. TBH, sometimes what is depicted in Kdramas as "normal" seems a bit goofy or immature based on my personal experiences. At the same time I find these representations to be charming and heartwarming and not a bad thing at all. The relationship between these two women might be what I remember most from this series.

Just tell him what happened due that was not her fault or her wish being an old lady???? From being gusty and brave she’s just whiney and playing the victim the whole time. So unnecessary! When her Boyfriend just got confirmation that his mother is Dead, all she cares about is herself and saving her own ego!!!! She doesn’t even look to comfort him or give him any sympathy at all for what horrendous news he received. All she can say is to have him also lose someone else he loves so much! She is just self absorbed and doesn’t deserve him. Such a terrible character.

Choi jin hyuk character just gives me butterflies ?. Its a light hearted romcom with a dash of suspense and thriller. Perfect combination honestly.

But now, all character has this same expression (O.O) GJU was so smart and charismatic at the beginning, but now, he could even do the simple reasoning that LMJ and LS are the same person. Ko Won was a superstar, nearly untouchable and famous. He had the potention to be love rival within LMJ-GJU romance or maybe love line with Gayoung. See what happens to him now, he is just a chaffeur for LMJ, if not an errand boy who buying ice coffee for LMJ everyday. LMJ character is the most confusing one. She was a brave, bright, witty girl. But the writer has turned her to be shy girl, full of hesitation. She choose to run away everytime she doesn't want to give explanation. The writer drags the story too much near the end. No development.

Ra Tz Jul 28 2024 2:03 pm (Spoilers) I recently saw episode 14, and I was disappointed to see how lacking in character Mijin and/or Sun are.

She is giving the impression that it is difficult for her to tell Prosecutor Gye the truth about who she really is and how she got into this situation. This is in contrast to the first few episodes where she appears to be developing into a bright personality.

As for Gye, a prosecutor who collaborates with investigators and law enforcement, is far behind Ko Won in his understanding of Mijin's true nature. If Gye truly cares for Mijin and wants to protect her while she is a key witness to the crime, and her girlfriend, then why is it so difficult for him to find out who she really is and what her circumstances are?

The storyline seems strange; after Mijin telling Gye about the culpit, why didn't she just tell him about the incident involving her father's kidnapping? She knows that the suspected culprit has already killed a number of people, therefore it's incredibly foolish of her to go to their place without any sort of plan.

Furthermore, why has no one reported the true owner of the teahouse's disappearance? Similarly, the real Ok Na Hui disappearance; this is particularly strange because no family member reported losing contact with her.

The chemistry between your main love team and primary characters isn't that great. Rather, I liked to see the ridiculously humorous yet heartbreaking love tale of Mijin's bestfriend.

Ko Won's role in the plot has diminished since, despite his declaration that he would stop at nothing to protect Mijin, he never shows up during Mijin's most dire circumstances and appears to be unaware of Mijin's situation.

Since you were unable to develop a compelling plot for the first 14 episodes, you will undoubtedly fit all those scenarios into the two episodes that you have remaining, which is extremely annoying.

I wish you well on the final two episodes.

The younger actors are no slouches either. This is a thoroughly escapist but absolutely lovely drama. I am so looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Hopefully the second half of the series is as good as the first.

I think he lived at Dogaville and was friends with Aunty Lim Sun. She told him about the bank account. He killed her and stole the money. Best friend was not complicit but knows her dad did it. That's why she made a mysterious call to someone (I think to her dad) when she found out Lee Mi Jin had been kidnapped.

He know real Lim Sun somehow but he didint know what happened to her, thats why he followed fake Lim Sun and do the blood test. The main culprit is this anonymous person who sent letter and gave tip about fake identity. The sender knows for sure what happened to real Lim Sun, thats why he/she know that now Lim Sun is not the real Lim Sun. My guess is the old intern woman. Remember that all the persons who disappeared take big sum off money begore they disappeeared ( make them look like they gonna runaway skmewhere ), i thinkthe culprit used that money, in this case this old woman intern, used it for her high maintanence life that she actually cant afford.

And I can see why she gets those awards, her acting is always amazing. I watch this drama because of her, and I am not disappointed. Her chemistry with the male lead and second male lead are incredible, even better chemistry than the young version lol I love her chemistry with Go Won the most. They are so cute. Will keep watching this drama, and glad the rating is high!

PS: I actually hope the serial killer is not the hospital director and hope for a plot twist. But after watching recent episodes, seems like the director is indeed the serial killer lol it's too apparent

FM 1 (young) always looks gloomy on his face. Meanwhile, FM 2 (Old) looks cheerful and energetic. What's more confusing is how FM 1 knows that the old face of its new character is the face of its aunt. Didn't he lose his aunt when his aunt had a young face? How strange

Never liked him on previous dramas as well, exeption Tunnel or maybe I liked it bcz of the plot, maybe. Jung Eun sis is great actress, I only watching for her. Plot predictable, I knew the killer from ep3 even their connection since childhood and suspected why she's having that appeance and that the cat it's her aunt seeking for justice. What is going on in the kdrama script world, where ML&FL are connected since birth/childhood, it's getting ridiculous boring fr. The day/ night change it's annoying, one sec it's sunset and then pitch dark, other scenes mostly ML could teleport to another scene and when some drama and suspense needed, they are tooooooooo far to reach the place. For me it's 5/10

The change from day to night it happens in nanosec, other scenes, at first episodes, would show the change and there was still sun, now it's not the clock time (6pm) but the darkness that's causing the change? sighs Some sceneces does not make any sence at all, 2nd ep where young FL was in the middle of nowhere, from her home they went to the bookstore and then she was going back home but she had to walk in the middle of the night, alone, like WHY?. Also FL's mother, which she's having scenes at night mostly, why she's wearing heavy lipstic for a countryside ajuma? Ans so many more to mention but it'll take pages....I wish the production team put some effort in small but important details that connects with reality, somehow. Yes yes I know it's fantasy but then again why they don't fly and read minds, huh? I'm only watching this for Lee Jung Eun & Yoon Byung Hee, they are nailing their roles. 6/10

I'm looking forward to a good ending to this impressive drama.

I do love the way the murders have been weaved into this whole story. So many dramas lose steam when they try to mix too many things together but this drama is doing it so well. I'm excited for Ep. 9.

Lee mijin is lim sun and lim sun is Lee mijin. Doesn't feel out of place at all. The show is funny, goofy, entertaining and mature. The thriller part is a bit cliche though, involving a serial killer but I'm still fine with it.
