Go A-In comes from a poor family background and she didn’t graduate from a prestigious university, but she has a strong desire for success. She works at an advertising agency. With her dedication to hard work and desire for success, she works her from the bottom and strives to become the first female lead executive at a major advertising agency.

Brian V May 14 2025 7:11 am This is a good series, you just have to get through the first episode. By the third episode, you should be hooked. If you look at the ratings, you can see where the show starts to become more popular.

The first time I tried to watch this series, I quit watching during the first episode, and put this page in my, "don't like" folder. I tried it again because I'm such a Son Na-Eun fan. I loved her in Cinderella and the Four Knights.

I also like Song Young-Chang because I'm a huge fan of his daughter, Song Sang-Eun.

There are a lot of people in this series, and a lot of moving parts, with secondary plots and whatnots.

Spoilers ahead.

At the end, I felt content and satisfied with how the show played out. The only loose end I wanted to see more resolution to was with CEO Choi Jung-Min of J&M Planning. The last we see of her was drinking with Go A-In after the milk presentation. They just left her as roadkill.

It just leaves us with doubts that Key Woman Communications will succeed where Yoo Jung-Suk's agency, and J&M Planning, both failed. We can only hope they can survive against the tactics of the conglomerates, as demonstrated in the milk presentation.

Jen May 06 2024 1:05 pm I feel like I just don’t know art. I like the actress… but she looks the same in every series I’ve watched of her, as in her expressions are all the same. But she wins so much love and awards. See, I just don’t know art, I guess. Anyways, the premises seems exactly like my kind of drama, but oof; the 2nd episode felt so dragged out. I’m going to keep watching, or try to, but idk if I can handle the pace. I spent 15-20 min watching her spin quietly out of control in episode 2. Some might feel her tension and love this scene, but all I felt was agony to move on with the scene. I did love her in Mother though, but the story itself was amazingly written, plus the kid was amazing in that one; it wasn’t all Lee Bo Young.

Park Min May 04 2024 7:56 pm At the surface it may seems it's the type of show that goes through workplace cases one after another, while that was slightly true initially, but it was just a drama themed around an advertising agency, or so I thought, initially. After the introduction, the drama began with an advertising assignment then followed by a bigger one with more tension, stakes and clever plays, however, this all happened in the first half while the second half became a regular melodrama/power struggle in a corporate setting, no more advertising assignments. This was unfortunate because the second half couldn't carry the same impact, especially the last 4 episodes. Ah In & Han Na & Young Woo had a great dynamic between each other and those around them. On the other hand, Han Byung Soo was the worst character, his character didn't fit any scene, he lacked a good dynamic and story given that he was close to the female lead, even the actor himself was out of place and a big mismatch to his task. The personal stories were a hit or miss, take for example the female lead story, the writer put little to no effort into her childhood/trauma, everything started and ended with a few scenes which led to a weak resolution to her trauma. It was really disappointing in this specific case after building up her trauma and problems for so long. Han Na and her secretary might be a highlight for some but Eun Jung and her child were a highlight for me. The final wrap up felt a bit strange after just 1 year time skip, an obvious uncalculated afterthought for the sake of it. The drama offered a decent package with a lot more potentials on the table but it also left a lot more to be desired.

Famousjaylo Apr 24 2024 8:04 am This drama is so good because of the amazing casting. Lee Bo Young, timeless and so good, always beautiful. any drama with Kim Mi kyung is always a success! But other great older seniors, the 71 year old Jen kyuk kwan will never stop giving, but there are others of the middle age that are great to see. Powerful office setting and great script and direction.

No Young is a strong woman and she carries this. I hope her character wins out and maybe gets a man too!

Best to watch and you will enjoy the solution to the company internal fight in a good way. The 2 esp was badly executed and overkill it as she is on drugs, she dont need the commit suicide.

Jundy Nov 25 2023 12:41 pm Just watching this drama and I don’t get the criticism of Go A-In and her mother story. I actually love how Go A-In took her former and her doctor friend to forgive herself and turn down her grudges. As cruel as her mother was, she was also suffering for the past 35 years so it feels nice to see A-In not makes her life harder. It’s also realistic that A-in not necessarily forgive her mother but decide to support her mother anyway because it gives her benefit as it is comforting her and not because of pity or classic because she is my mother or something like that.

Definitely not the mindblowing type of drama but I love how every scenes in this drama is well written

I thought the feminist flavor and lack of love interest were realistic. I mean, what happened to the potential love interest? They dropped him like a hot potato. This is true to life in that some women have other priorities.

This is an easy binge. The writing is uneven, especially the scenes with the therapist which were overwrought and without believable segues. Overall, if you like Bo-young this is fine but not great. I found Queenmaker more gripping.

Future kdrama star Aug 14 2023 6:38 pm I think this drama is OK. 5/10. The cast are talented but the story can't hold my attention. I love office politics drama. This drama is lacking something compared to a recent female led drama Queenmaker. 12 episodes would be better. The fashion in Agency is amazing that's the only reason I keep watching. It's good Go A-in controlled drinking and took her medicine.

KM Aug 08 2023 1:00 am This makes me thankful I didn't listen to my mother's advice to study hard and get a good corporate job. Such toxic environment kills instead of motivate creativity. One would be spending time looking over their shoulder and not focusing on their job. Satisfying when good retaliates and evil gets embarrassed each time but it lacks the technical aspect of a creative job besides working late hours and being tortured by unreasonable and clueless clients.

I dont know if she is trying to kill herself to live or what but that was ways too much drug consumed.There is 1 missing point. They never show how A In's old boss got played by his fellow colleague in the past or maybe they saved it for a prequel movie? I would love to watch that too

Anj Jul 06 2023 3:29 am Absolutely dazzling cast and delivery of an otherwise regular office politics plotline. The elegance, competence and wit of Go Ah-in is literally everything I could hope to achieve one day. I genuinely appreciate every single detail Lee Bo-young adds to the character.

But my one issue with it is that her alcohol and pill problem seemingly disappearing overnight. Why? Just cause she formed some semblence of emotional bonds? Or is it that her biggest life trauma has been given closure? Even if she's in a better place I seriously doubt it's that simple. And the finale scene the way they handle the fallout of her issue was a little too silly for me.

The story itself brings you into the world of agency advertising and public influencing, certainly fascinating to the uninformed. But like an electric current the actors, ALL of them, bring this drama to pulsating heights. Clearly solid attentive direction is the mover/driver here. It’s a fun watch.

June Jun 06 2023 9:04 pm I was curious about this drama as I myself work in the media agency. 1st part is very cliché (work wise) but it get better after. Storyline is not really creative, but it’s still watchable. Overall, nice casting, except the main lead, I was not familiar with any of the other but I thought they interact perfectly together. Oh and please … stop dying the elders’ hair ! It’s way too dark and it’s so obvious

Jillibean May 14 2023 2:14 am I found this drama quite addictive and marathon-ed it over two days. Lee Bo Young is always worth watching and I loved seeing so many favorite veteran actors in the brilliant cast. About the only criticism I can make of this drama is that it was 99% about office politics, not ad making. A story about an advertising agency should have shown exactly how they made their money, and who their clients were, not just internal squabbles among staff. That got a bit tiresome, to be honest.

1) Go Ah-In's mother, in my opinion seems wrong the mother (biological mother) gave birth to her and abandoned her, so naturally she was not raised by her biological mother; decades later the biological mother turned up and worked in the same organisation for 1/2 days; suddenly she has to support her biological mother who never raised her! She should be supporting the aunty /person who raised her.

2) the prosecutor dug into Go Ah In's medical records and passed it on to Director Choi: this part has not been dealt with...shouldn't the prosecutor be punished?

Bobe2 Feb 20 2023 1:16 am @Winnie we are back on track and ep 14 sealed the safety towards our final weeks..The rating was even highest for Sunday ep compared to the two competititors...If this drama was equivalent to The Hunger Games universe, we have passed that filler Mockingjay part 1 episode. Ep 11-12 were less exciting due to personal problems for each character (Hanna's romance, Ah In's past and crazy lawyer, Eunjung's family acceptance on her career-establishing decision). So my complained for ep 11-12 were the entries of the mom to the agency was so abrupt and so not natural with the flow of drama,and so did the prosecutor (personal motive lmao, damn I wish Ah In would just throw back some cynical doses to him!)..I am glad this unnatural flows were get resolved quickly, and we are back in the final game, the advertisement task!.

winnie Feb 16 2023 5:04 am In ep 11, the Prosecutor Kim Woo-Seok visiting Go Ah-in does not give a good vibe, he has been investigating her parents' past - what is the purpose of the script here? Unless a storyline on Go Ah-in to make sure Prosecutor Kim together with the Prosecutor Kim's investigator removed from the prosecution office for abusing their positions, e.g. instigating her parents esp her father to visit and abuse Go Ah-in for money!

Oh no, Go Ah-in's mother deliberately worked in the same organisation, and I am unable to comprehend this part of the storyline, abandoned her daughter and now wanted to see her!

winnie Feb 09 2023 12:09 am 1) Chairman Kang Yong-Ho, must step down, for the unethical remark (i.e. ....dressed like a model....just accept..which his right-hand man Kim Tae Hwan wrote for him) he said to Director Goh Ah In

2) Chairman Kang's right-hand man Kim Tae Hwan and Director Choi Chang-Soo need to be demoted/transferred from HQ VC Group to a rural area's office in order to preserve peace and a conducive working environment!

3) Director Goh Ah In's mother, OMG, abandoned her daughter a few decades ago without any news but now looking for her daughter and for a job in the same advertising agency..oh no, as that is only to cause pain to her daughter.

I honestly detest parents abandoning their children, regardless of poverty, sick or whatever, without news for decades!

Hopefully, Director Go Ah In would not bring her back into her home this kind of mother. I really hope Director Go Ah In can let go of her pain and live a happy life without her mother.

With regard office's politics, i.e., VP Kang Han-soo team or Director Kang Han-na team, hopefully, Director Go Ah In will not choose any party. Instead, just do her job/work. And when the time comes, to resign from the VC group and move on.

Reely Feb 08 2023 4:15 am I decided to watch this because of Son Naeun’s funny clips on instagram and tiktok but I definitely continued because of all the casts and the scenes. Lee Boyoung is such a femme fatale, her character slaaaays! Choi Changsoo is very effective as an antagonist, he really is very annoying hahahaha and I’m excited to see more of Son Naeun’s character and what she’ll do in the future. So far I love it and cant wait for the remaining episodes to be released.

The drama Agency has not disappointed me; brilliant script, brilliant actress Lee Bo-Young (Go Ah-In character), and all the supporting actors/actresses.
