Two fathers, who become monsters for their children, face off against each other. Song Pan-Ho (Son Hyun-Joo) is a judge who is respected by everyone. He is a warm-hearted person. He lives a successful life, without any stains in his past, and he carries a righteous belief and strong sense of justice. Kim Gang-Heon (Kim Myung-Min) is a cruel boss of a criminal organization. He has a cold heart and a coercive presence. He is a figure who makes everyone shiver with fear, but he is a father who shows persistent fatherly love.

Lee May 25 2026 9:15 am got curious with Heo Nam-Jun's villain role here because of my royal nemesis but unfortunately he doesnt show up that often. to be honest, i find the judge to be annoying and not that smart. His son is smarter than him.. imagine you found out your wife got rape but instead of being mad, you kneel down to spare your son. lol. he should be at least helping his son and should think why his son did that but instead he looks like he doesnt care about his wife at all.. even when his wife was alive and suffering up until he found out the reason why his wife committed suicide. weird.

Lee May 25 2026 1:14 am if you think about it the one in the wrong in here is the overspeeding motorcycle lol, why is he even overspeeding and he also drive straight ahead, did he forgot that the roads are meant for cars, he should have seen the car too even if Ho-Young got blinded from the light at first.. but since he's overspeeding and god knows what, is he blind or what. lol

Nony Sep 29 2025 8:16 am Where do i begin? *SPOILER ALERT** 1) For a judge, hes pretty stupid. He's all over the place, even his son his smarter than that old fck. If he wants to verdict guilty, then why call them to 'contain' the detective. What do you expect theyll do?? 2) a lot of unessesary death. Detective, the son (the judge should died not him), mi yeon, her people who were ambushed 3) the writer/director was biased to sang heon from the start. They want evil to win as irl theres no such thing as justice 4) fck? The whole family except the daughter are killers. But do they faced any charges? No right. Ffs

Overall. Watched it for nam jun but imma give a 6/10

I already finish episode 1 to 10 dated today 9/11/2024 This was my first breakdown of crying a lot ,it made me bawl, weep and cry a river because Ho Yeong who was always protected by her dad who is Judge Song Pan Ho had died with no remorse, i feel sorry for him and i feel sorry for her Dad because he even tried all the wrong doings for his child but in the end he died .

Overall ,.All Characters Are Good This Was #1 for me ,it was one of the most underrated series that you should not missed because this was hilarious and freaking exciting to the point i even did not sleep to finish all episodes.

i love all the characters even if they are not lovable at all. They simply show their emotions and they did it at theyre best!!!

Delly Sep 08 2024 3:41 am After watching this drama until episode 8, I've made conclusion that everyone is just as bad and evil. Everyone is pursuing justice without using justice at all. Including the female police and the prosecutor.

Turns out the one who is just trying to do his job properly without any scheme is the Chairman but people keep on trying to get on his nerves. You know people said do not disturb a sleeping tiger?

In fact, he didn't even know his eldest son did the crime 2 years ago.

So I'm going to watch the next episodes after it is confirmed that the Chairman gonna win. If not, the drama is just as fucked up as all the characters.

wnnny Sep 03 2024 7:45 pm I think Prosecutor Kang and Detective Jang are abusing their power. They knew Judge Song's son Song Ho-Young was the culprit of the hit-and-run incident. However, they ignored it and pursued the victim's father, Kang Gang-Heon, as they had grudges against Kang Gang-Heon. I hope the next episode will show Prosecutor Kang and Detective Jang being replaced and punished severely for abusing power, otherwise, there is injustice in the whole police investigation and trial at the outset.

He doesn't look Egyptian at all and has Southeast Asian looks, but that's not my problem as it's most likely difficult to cast a real Egyptian. My problem is the low effort of the writer to give this weird name to an Egyptian character. There isn't a single Egyptian who has such weird name. Is it that hard to find a common name and give it to the character? Names like Ali, Mohammad or even the Koreans favorite Arab name, Mansour? Idk but as an Arab, this point was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the drama is pretty good.

Darey Aug 28 2024 12:34 pm I'm crying, why do Dohoon and Namjun have so little screen time T_T. I was so happy they both got main characters, but they didn't. I feel lied to.

still hope that Song Hoyoung and Kim Sanghyuk's characters are involved with the main story, or have their own story rather than just being extras.

I'm a fan of Kim Dohoon, and whenever he's in a drama, he always gets a little screen time. I wonder if he really isn't worth it?

Shay Aug 28 2024 7:43 am I hope kim gang heon gets a happy ending although he's a criminal by getting revenge I want the happy ending to be on his side because The detective is biased doesn't investigate well The judge is now turning evil as kim gang heon for his own benefits Mis Jo the boodu gang leader is using the judge and assemblyman to revenge the chairman The judge's son knows he killed the chairman's son but still went ahead with his friendship with the chairman's daughter

I think kim gang heon should go revenge son for son so as to to threaten the judge more But can't wait to see his reaction once he finds out the judge's son is the one who killed his son

wnnny Aug 27 2024 8:57 pm @sf, in ep 1, the judge's son Song Ho-Young is "emotionally" disturbed and has an asthma attack while driving, his son must not abandon Kim Gang-Heon's son, therefore, the judge's son is wrong, a hit-and-run.

Now, the police officer Jang and the prosecutor Kang appear biased. Prosecutor Kang now listens to the Budu Gang (not Kim Gang-Heon) interrogating Kim Gang-Heon's wife. They appear to conclude the culprit is Kim Gang-Heon's group! which is ridiculous.

I think the culprits are the judge and his friend Jeong Yi-Hwa, the Budu Gang's lady Jo Mi-Yeon, as they want the judge to enter the Blue House. Also, the judge's son knows Kim Eun's brother is the motorcyclist hit by him so he is pretending!

sf Aug 27 2024 9:10 am @wnnny I remember that the judge's son's car was on the right side of the road even after the accidents. The gangster's son entered with the motorcycle in the car coming from the opposite direction. The one at fault was Kim Gang-Heon's son, but no one is mentioning that.

In my opinion, the police officer Jang Chae-Rim is biased. She is not smart, sharp, and meticulous. The car's owner of the hit-and-run accident is her friend Judge Song's late wife. I hope the police will not overlook Judge Song's son.

I am curious whether Judge Song San Ho's son Song Ho-Young will admit he killed Kim Gang-Heon's son in the hit-and-run accident.

Also, Kim Gang-Heon's reaction when he finds out his daughter Kim Eun is going out with Song Ho-Young the hit-and-run killer/the culprit

These two great actors in one riveting drama!!!!! Now, I'm ddefinitely back on KKdramaland. This is my cue to be taking a pause from Hollywood series & movies on Netflix for awhile.

Kim Myung-Min never disappoints. His ability to deeply immerse himself in his characters in all the dramas/movies I have watched is indeed a respectful veteran actor, his versatility and powerful performances in various roles.
