Yoon-Joo (Jung Yu-Mi) is the daughter of a family that runs a large company. She works as a veterinarian and works specifically with horses. Yoon-Joo has a bright and honest personality. She is in love with Ki-Joon (Choi Tae-Joon). Ki-Joon also fails from a family that runs a large company.

When the father went to see Ki-Joon after the breakup to see how he was, the father didn't even offer any help. The parents are dysfunctional, there is no warmth there, just yelling, yelling and more yelling.

Soo Jin was willing to put up with whatever the mother-in-law did to her as she wanted to live that rich life style. She told the mother in the beginning of the show she wanted to maid, the cook, the big house, etc. That is why she said to Yoon-Joo that Sung Joon's company meant everything to her --- where as Yoon-Joo it didn't mean anything to her. But Yoon-Joo was married to the family, she could have taken an interest.

I just hope that Soo Jin and Sung Joon don't end up together again. I just don't like Soo Jin and everything she did to Yoon-Joo, Hyerin and all the lies to try and get him. I was hoping Yoon-Joo would find another girl that he would fall in love with and was hoping he and Hyerin would make it.

Honestly, my least favorite couple EVER, and my least favorite heroine EVER. Yunju is too sensitive and she really needs to grow up. It's just downright annoying.

Enough of the gambling, gangsters and gangs; enough of the vengeance and the violence; enough of the heroine being put upon and being hapless, helpless and hopeless; enough of the evil, wicked mother-in-laws screaming, shouting, swearing and slapping the daughters-in-law; enough of the Victorian family values, oops. did I say Victorian, I meant medieval mores and morals; enough of the pulling hair, throwing water and salt at people one does not like. What does that even mean, anyway, throwing water and salt at someone? Enough of the cold as fish men whom everyone is dying to marry just because they are rich. Enough of the materialism and only marrying people of "our kind" as if poor people are not people and have no feelings. I am going to take a well earned break and so I say to you sayanora, oops, wrong language, enyo.

BTW I think that MBC needs to have an English Editor, seriously. Some of the English subtitles are so awkward either they are doing a direct translation from the Korean or the translator does not know the English idioms. Of course, I am offering up my services to them.

Calculator Jul 10 2014 3:57 pm Hmm, no subtitles for this drama on the entire Internet, not even cheap ones done from Chinese bootlegs. I am really disappointed. I wonder how much it would cost MBC to hire an official Korean-English translator, in a country where most people know both languages. $300 at most. The return of these $300 in terms of international sales, commercial interest, media attention, and so on, would be at least $300.000. Someone needs to smack MBC on the head.

Girl, if this was more than a fake drama and I could ask you to your face....that would be my question to you...do you know what you are worth? My second question to you would be, are you doing this for Kijoon or do you still have feelings for Kijoon's brother and have a hope that things will change and you too will someday be together again. I am having a difficult time believing that you really love Kijoon, after watching last night's episode...being insulted by Kijoon's mother does not make you angelic or superior...it makes you incredibly stupid.

There is no way I would take a man's mother insulting me (ie calling me names, throwing water in my face, trying to give me money to go away) and not say something to the man whose suppose to love me and be protecting me from such things. I know some men, would grow tired of hearing this kind of complaint but if he really loves and care then he'd put an end to it.

We understand Kijoon you want your parents approval, but there should be a limit. It's not like you are a child and will die if they don't approve...I really hope this drama starts to take a turn for the positive so Yunji and Kijoon aren't always hurting and suffering for their relationship. I hope that Yunji will wise up and stop saying stupid stuff like she did in this mornings episode like "i can suffer more, i can survive just don't hurt your mom or be a bad son Kijoon"

I really think that Sung-Joon and Soo-Ji should be suffering more...because they both did wrong and to lay it all at Yunji's feet is wrong. Neither one of them have acknowledged what they did, especially Sung-Joon and if I was Kijoon, instead of taking every word Sung-Joon had to say about him and Yunji see each other...I'd tell him he had no right, because when he had her, he didn't do right by her. I'd tell him to take care of his own wife, make sure he's doing that right. If you hate it, so what live out your life feeling guilty to Yunji and help me so that I can make her happy...instead of thinking of yourself.

If I were Kijoon, it would be the one time I'd really have to be disrespectful to my parents...because I'd tell them, you know what Sung-Joon did to Yunji, so why are you laying it all at her feet. What wrong did she do....what other choice did she have, except to move aside for the woman my brother cheated with. You should have no complaints, because it's not like Yunji caused Sung-Joon to stray. WRITERS I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU'VE PLANNED FOR THIS TO WORK OUT, BUT THIS GOING BACK AND FORWARD WITH THE INSULTS AND SECRECY BETWEEN YUNJI'S BIOLOGICAL MOTHER AND HER STEPMOTHER, YUNJI AND KIJOON, SOOJIN AND SUNGJOON....IT'S GETTING TO BE TO MUCH....I CAN'T EVEN PREDICT THE WAY THIS DRAMA IS GONNA PLAY OUT....BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, LET'S START MOVING KIJOON AND YUNJI FORWARD...AND PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH KIJOON AND SUNGJOON'S MOTHER...SHE NEEDS TO FIND SOME BUSINESS THAT ISN'T AND DOESN'T INVOLVE HER SON'S.

Dawn Jun 30 2014 12:06 pm I've been watching this drama and believe I've got the basic understanding....the eldest son/brother ws engaged to Yunjin who he cheated on with the woman he was forced to marry now the younger son/brother is dating his ex Yunjin and the family of both guys are treating Yunjin like she waas the one who did wrong when it was the oldest son who did wrong...but the stupid ass mother refuses to see it that way. The wife of course is a nasty piece of work...she doesn't want Yunjin around because she knows what she did...and she says it was out of love for...it was out of selfishness....so now she has to work hard to keep the brother in law from marrying Yunjin or otherwise she will have to see her face and she is worried because she know her husband doesn't love her but still loves Yunjin...and he doesn't want his brother to be with her because he stiff has feeings for her and he'd have to face her everyday....and the parents would have to acknowledge they upheld their eldest son when he did wrong.

Yunju stepmother is weak and selfish...she needs to get up and get a job instead of laying around waiting to be taken care of and putting burden on her children.....

Kijun seriously needs to stop with the delusion his family will accept his situation with Yunju...if you love her forget them and get married both of you are adults....why suffer. Yunju doesn't deserve to be insulted by you mother....man up Kijun...tell your brother you know what he did to Yunju and to stay out of your business...anyways its a good dramam...I just wish they didn't portray Korean women as weak and extremely submissive....there is submissive and there is stupid

Dawn Jun 11 2014 8:18 am Am I missing a really good drama! Can anyone recap the episodes for me. I noticed this on my channel guide for MBC America, but it comes on sooooo late like 1a.m. my states time. I would DVR it but I think I've missed too many episodes for it to make since to me at this point....but if someone could catch me up, I think I'd be good.

I recognize several actors/actressess in the cast line up....and they've done very good work in other dramas, so I would not be opposed to jumping in on this drama...to see if it could become a favorite.

Mattie Jun 06 2014 8:17 pm Nice drama. It just kept growing on me. Now it is my favorite weekday to watch (although I am watching a lot of good k-d right now) and I never miss an episode. The acting is great. (In some ways this drama reminds me of Princess Aurora but a bit softer). I see that the writer Park Jung Ran wrote "A Thousand Kisses" (2011) and "Blissful Woman" (2007). Both made an impression on me. This week I saved all 5 episode (34-39) and watched in one sitting. I cannot wait until next week for more!
