Based on the life of actress Tetsuko Kuroyanagi and her family. The story begins four years before the birth of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, when her mother Chou (Nao Matsushita), an aspiring opera singer, met her father Moritsuna Kuroyanagi (Koji Yamamoto), a talented violinist.
