ray Jul 03 2026 4:16 pm Well the writers proved that they should not be given another contract with the shows last episode. They made Korean police inept (i.e. losing the gun to a suspect). They made a patient being transferred to a bigger hospital, cause for some sort of miraculous recovery. And the big one, two penniless fugitives had access to all kinds things to evade the cops (in a country with CCTV around every corner) and take a hostage too!

Since the beginning they've made out this Lee Kang-Hyeok guy to be a gangster tough guy. Back Ho had just questioned the chairman Ma's housekeeper about it chairman's crested spoon. I was thinking that Baek Ho and not Jun Ho is the actual son of Hwa Young but still confused on why Baek Ho's mom have the spoon and the gold toad. There's to much turns and twists that makes me extremely agitated but will watch to the end.

Korean dramas from 50's to 70's (for different reasons, not this drama) and guess what, majority of family plot based dramas, were doing exactly what is happening in this one. Some rich guy who thought he had lost a loved one, acts stupid throughout the drama, one or two villains are smarter than every one else, no matter anyone's background, education, or professional creditability. But of course, in the last 4 or 5 episodes everything changes!

Hwa Young would pretend to be the Chairman's daughter, and even though he's suspicious would find a way to trick him (why he does all these things when she's eavesdropping or even in the room makes zero sense. but hey, this is a Kdrama after all)

All that's left now is (predictions)

-She'll try to off Jang Mi, Baek Ho, and Sook-Hee again. -Scum Manager Lee has an extra reason to go after Baek-Ho, or so he thinks -Hwa Young and Manager Lee will go through the typical flashback (Beatings! Life Attempts!) that they did to Baek Ho once they find out he's their son. -At some point the Chairman will become paralyzed, and Hwa Young will brag to him about all the evil things she's done, with Baek Ho and Jang Mi rescuing him -Jun Ho will be forgiven. And possibly even the awful mother and daughter -Jang Mi's real father will return, and Seo Rin (this is a stretch, because of twin ESP) may still be alive.

But impossible if dong seok will sleep with hwa young since dong seok love sook hee unless if hwa young do something fishy. Terrible story if jang me and baek hoo are blood related.

Gb May 30 2026 10:29 am @jamse you're right impossible if jung suk he is the lost daughter of the chairman then they are siblings with jang mi's father. So I think jang mi's father is not biological son of chairman. Then the father of baek ho must be manager Lee. Back ho and joon ho are real brothers. The drama gets confusing like so missed up with the plot now. Anyways there more coming eps.to follow we'll see how they manage on making it more sense. I like this drama

Jajajay78 May 29 2026 9:42 pm This is so convoluted and I only stayed to see Chae Hwa Young get her punishment. The actress who played Suk Hee was amazing at Seo Rin's death. I am disgusted and upset at how they just threw away her character. It was obvious that she was expendable as the writers refused to have an possible character growth. Also, Jun Ho is soooooo delusional. Can Anyone tell me why No One has filed a restraining order on him and asked for a psych consult?

It is obvious what the plot twist they're trying to imply. Baekho is actually Chae Hwa Young's son and Manager Lee obviously felt bad about sending him to an orphanage so he stole one of the toads and placed it with him. So if Baekho marries Jang mi, she ends up marrying the son of the woman who murdered her father, kidnapped and murdered her sister, and forced her mother into this dissociative psychosis. I think it's a stupid plot twist because then it will come to "I can't marry you because you are my half-brother and son of Chae Hwa Young". I think I need to stop watching it because it could have wrapped up about 10-15 episodes ago. I'm sorry but there are so many plot holes that, in real life, would never actually happen. The police would already be involved in so many of these things. Plus, lying about who died is illegal and fraud and would put people in jail. So many plot holes I think I will stop now.

At every turn this so-called chairman who is more interested in his company's stock than his family (which in many cases is true in real world anyway), keeps screwing up and we're to believe a guy like that can manage to build a store front, let alone a corporation?!

She was my favorite character and I was rooting for her as she was growing from a lazy selfish spoiled brat into someone with a good heart. I was hoping for a happy ending and now it won't. I used to think Jun Ho was simply an unlikeable jerk but he is every bit as evil as his birth parents Chae Hwa-Young and Lee Kang-Hyuk. Just despicable how he tricked Seo Rin into going for the "surgery" that Chae Hwa Young used to murder her. Chae Hwa-Young is a psychopath and serial killer. I am only going to continue to watch just to see her get the punishment she deserves.

For all the people she killed without batting an eye! The writer should think of the most cruelest way to let her pay for all the sins she have done! And also, they should have not killed Seo Rin. She is the most pitiful in this drama. She should have lived and experience the true love she longed for.

The subs being much more civilized than what they're actually saying is one thing, but reading the past couple of weeks of comments, I take it everyone is blaming the writers for this long winded catastrophe. But I wonder, could it be that daily shows are produced to adhere to the reality of Korean life, and not the glamour of prime time dramas and movies with worldwide audience?!

I know Baek Ho has also story behind the stamp so when will they show it to us the Baek Ho story.

I have watched KDramas for more than 15 years and Chae Hwa-Young is the most vile and despicable villain I have seen yet. Her son Jun Ho isn't evil like her but he is a jerk.

Professor Kang is a complete scumbag...cheating on his wife who is a good person with that vile monster Chae Hwa Young.

I don't think Suk Hee is the Chairman's long lost daughter this is a red herring. I am guessing Lawyer Han will turn out to be the Chairman's long lost daughter and the twins' Aunt.

This drama has really lost its way.

But now this drama has been extended to 140 episodes, and most likely what will happen is the twins will end up in competition for the hotel and love, with Seo Rin allying with her murderous fake mom. I hope not, then it just becomes like any other kdrama.

Meaning more fights, more dragging. We still have a lot to unpack: Baeky-ssi's parentage, Suk Hee (who could regain her memories), the possible return of Dong Seok, Jun Ho's biological dad, the mystery man who's watching every move of the Ma Family, Chairman Ma's secret investigation, the lipstick-USB, the wedding (will it push through), and Seo Rin finally waking up. I am sensing that she and Jang Mi are gonna clash.

They need to tighten things up and get on with the main story. Plus constant repeats, how many times do we need to see attempts on Jang Mi’s life?

Un modeste admirateur Dec 28 2025 7:04 pm I'm watching "The First Man" with my family, and although we're only 4 or 5 episodes in, it's already our favorite drama of the moment, and--who knows? time will tell--our favorite drama of the year. Oh Hyun-Kyung's presence alone is a garantee that you should watch: I've never seen her play in anything but the best long-term dramas, like "Gloria", "The Legendary Witch", "Su-Ji and U-Ri", etc. In fact, in "Su-Ji and U-Ri", she was already paired with Ham Eun-Jung. Now that I think of it, I regret that in my comment to "Su-Ji and U-Ri" I didn't give enough praise to that 2024 drama, from which I have so many vivid memories still. More memories than from my own life in 2024. I wish there was a delete button to erase previous comments I'm not really proud of, but the problem is that I'll have to delete all of them in that case.

An Dec 27 2025 4:34 am Am so ready for 120 episodes. This is a bloody good kdrama gave me the same feels when I started watching CRASH LANDING ON YOU. The daughter in law is a brilliant actress. That part really suits her. I think a short episode a day suits me otherwise I could binge watch all day. Watching concurrently with IDOL I thought so much greasy KDrama. Am super intrigued how Korea churns great drama so frequently. Britain needs to pull up their socks.

It was Eugene's drama called 'Really, Really Like You' aka 'Love Truly.' The saddest part of that drama was her character's struggle against the odds to care for both herself and her daughter while her husband was smitten with country girl in the big city, Kim Eugene. Speaking og whom, I'd really be happy to see Eugene return to acting!
