Yeo Ui-Ju (Kim Hyang-Gi) is a high school student who lives a double life. She is an ordinary student during the day and a romance novel writer at night. She writes romance novels featuring handsome teachers as her main characters. She unexpectedly has encounters with four of these good-looking teachers in her real life and she ends up having a tumultuous school life. One of the teachers is Ga Wu-Su (Cha Hak-Yeon). He is a genius math teacher with an IQ of 156 and is a Mensa member who rarely smiles. Another teacher is No Da-Ju (Kim Jae-Hyun), who is a Japanese teacher with a bright personality. Jung Gi-Jeon (Sohn Jeong-Hyuck) is a PE teacher with a masculine personality. Lastly, Yun Dong-Ju (Kim Dong-Kyu) is a gentle and sweet Korean language teacher.

Miss you May 31 2026 2:07 pm What a package this drama was. I'm a long time K-Drama can which means I've seen Cha Hak-yeon in quite few dramas before, but I found myself falling head over heels for his character in this one.

Breath taking looks. Yes. Maintained character until the very least minute. Didn't cross the line. Never encouraged her. Not a single smile or stare that might lead her on. Even when she handed over that beautiful confession problem for him to solve. He beautifully corrected the spelling and gave it back to her. For me, that was his acknowledgement that he loved her. Watching over her. Protecting her. Not taking advantage of her love for him.

The four teachers. Forget about Boys over flowers F4. This package will stay in my heart forever. The beautiful family-friendly relationship that all of them shared with each other. Always watching out, even through fights and arguments. Being together in each others down time. So beautiful it was.

The class students were so energetic and cute and sweet to be around. I'm curious to know how Cha Hak-yeon survived being in that room full of such feline energy. I loved the way he always entered the class and did the roll call. The way he teaches, the way he walks, the way he doesn't create or leave any emotional trails behind him.

The BL part made me start this drama late, as I am not a fan of BL stuff. But they I found those little scenes from We were friends novel interesting. Well, it was all because of Cha Hak-yeon's over the top acting which made it funny and light hearted to watch without discomfort. Well, I know that he stared in a real BL last year, but who cares. I won't watch it.

I loved every bit of the drama. I will miss the classroom scene, the teacher room scenes, the F4 apartment breakfast table scenes and last but not the least, every single frame where Woo Su and Yeo Eui-joo come together.

And yes, the love interest Na Deul-ri. She was also beautiful. And I loved loved loved loved the way the Cold maths teacher completely transforms into a Boy in love, in the scenes with her. Smiling, laughing showing his teeth, being soft, warm and relaxed. I want a drama where the two are leads.

Annyeong, Absolute value of romance. You were my Absolute value of Happiness, these past few days.

Highly recommend May 30 2026 8:06 pm Anyone hesitating to watch , don’t wait , watch it. It is beautifully written, directed and acted. All actors n actresses brought each character to life , it felt as if I am one of them seeing their lives unfold. You cheer for each individual and ships sailing is least of the concern. Kudos to cha hak yeon’s performance. Thanks to entire team for tackling such sensitive subjects with great care n humor. You do not get such a nice slice of life drama that is wholesome in every scene from start to end. Rooting for season 2.

Qiss May 30 2026 2:02 pm Im Superrr Happy As I Love The Ending So Muchhh...absolute 10/10...really2 well written and executedd...fed our delulu and hopes just enough while still following what is morally and publicly proper considering their status as student-teacher and her still minor age..and woosu really is matured and greenest flag character as he didnt crushed her heart by rejecting her and also do not reciprocate it yet cuz he knows for now its not the right thing to do cuz she's not adult yet and still a studenttt...he's indeed a geniusss and I love him for thattt...really what a morally normal adult should do.. afterall their love is so CLEAR to meee..Arghhhhhhhhh.. All actors n actresses brought the characters to life it felt as if I am one of them seeing their lives unfolding. You care for each individual and sailing ships is least of the concern. Cha hak yeon kudos for your performance!! Thanks to entire team for tackling such sensitive subjects with great care n humor. It is not everyday you get a slice of life that is wholesome in every scene from start to end. Will root for season 2.

Aaku May 30 2026 4:06 am it is obvious that the feeling is mutual. otherwise Woo Su would never smile at her like that. i can't understand people demanding more romantic scenes. at this stage of their relationship, kissing or other forms of romantic scenes are completely inappropriate. the actors would have definitely faced backlash. also it is completely obvious that they will meet when Woo Su returns from USA and Eui Ju is no longer his student ?‍♀️

As we all know, in Korean dramas, if you are with someone when the 1st snow falls, they said that you will be with that person. And I tonk that's where the end leans towards.

They stick to their plot line and give justice to every single scenes.

Definitely in awe with the simplicity of AVoR that makes me this invested. They made this drama so light yet so full. ?

anyway, i was looking for more "substance" from this drama but was not satisfied.

Underrated May 26 2026 8:01 am This drama is so underrated, I couldn't believe the crowd is missing out on this one. This drama reminds me of the 2010's OG Korean drama style, where things are extremely funny, silly and light hearted. No over the board complicated story lines. Effortless acting and delivery by the leads. No too much emphasis on product placements or locations or backgrounds. Just plain and simple.

I can keep watching this for 100 more episodes. Sad that the episodes are not 1 hour long. Or maybe that's the charm behind this witty series. It has all my love. Cheers to the entire cast and crew.

Most likely not without other student gossip them. I can only say because the writer is an adult. Even close enough, there is still line or wall between them. It's little bit weird. Other case is because she is mature enough and not afraid to tell her opinion. They are like neighbors right. It's scandalous but funny in other way. It's only work of fictional. Sadly it's around 30 minutes each episode. I need more.

Let’s face it, which student in a school can be in such close proximity with a young male teacher? The rest of the cast seems fine n did their part well, just the main female lead that I find irritating n ridiculous in a lot of ways.
