An Yun-Su (Jeon Do-Yeon) works as an art teacher. She has peaceful and ordinary days, but her life suddenly changes. Her husband is murdered and she is accused of killing him. She struggles to clear herself from the murder charge. While in prison, a mysterious woman named Mo Eun (Kim Go-Eun) approaches her. Mo Eun is called a witch by the other prisoners, because she can see through others and easily know what they think and feel. An Yun-Su and Mo Eun both have secrets and they make a dangerous deal.

Meanwhile, Baek Dong-Hoon (Park Hae-Soo) is an earnest prosecutor, who is recognized by his fellow prosecutors. He maintains his composure in any circumstance and holds firm convictions. He digs into the secrets of An Yun-Su and Mo Eun, risking his belief and honor. Jang Jung-Koo (Jin Sun-Kyu) is An Yoon-Soo’s lawyer. He is former boxer with a tenacious personality. He begins to pursue the truth to prove An Yun-Su’s innocence.

Mandy Mar 04 2026 4:37 am Kim Go-Eun never fails to deliver and even though she played someone who was in jail for what she done I still liked her character. I wasn't too keen on the character Jeon Do-Yeon played though and every episode I hoped she didn't make it. Both were backed by a talented cast and a captivating story that kept my interest till the end.

Jane Feb 03 2026 2:24 am I was so engaged while watching this drama that I didn’t even realize I finished it in less than 48 hours. There were a few flaws, especially regarding the ankle bracelet. For example, why was she so surprised when the pregnant lady told her they could track her movements? Isn’t that common knowledge? I felt anxious every time she went to Ko Se Hun’s house. Like, girl, they can track where you go, for God’s sake. But nevertheless, I really enjoyed it.

Kdrama Luvr Jan 21 2026 7:05 pm Amazing story! Binged at the beginning, dropped it for a moment in the middle, then when I picked it back up, I just couldn’t stop watching!!! Kinda confusing at times, but eventually really ties together. And I cried and wept for the characters in the end, especially in the very last scene. Love the Lingers on OST that was playing in that scene btw haha lol. I would def recommend. Amazing to see how the two women come together and how each individual characters changes. Brilliant work from both women! Brilliant! Very good overall.

okok Jan 17 2026 11:46 am I have a question: how was Mo Eun able to accurately pinpoint the location of objects in the studio? Did Yunsu tell her, or had she been there before, and I missed something?

Apple Jan 06 2026 2:36 pm I don’t understand the hype. Kim Go-Eun was great but don’t get how Jeon Do-Yeon was cast. Personally think there are other actress better suited for the role. Didn’t think her acting was good. Had to stop watching after the 4th episode.

Aozora Dec 28 2025 10:05 am Have watched too many thriller series and movies, so the plot is nothing interesting to me, but I got hook to the show and binge watched it. The main reason was the two lead female actors. Their characters were well developed and their acting was top notch, especially Kim Go-Eun. The way she made her very cold look was very good and interesting. I guess that's the main reason.

Anyway, too many loop holes, yet still amazing show. And I love it to be not too many episodes with useless scenes as in many K-drama these days.

Lili Dec 26 2025 11:38 pm Still in ep 7. Yeah I know it is a drama. Realistic portrayals. Biu it does not make sense. It is like the cliche' " I have to break up with you because I love you". You want to be cleared from a crime for the sake of your daughter . yet you will kill. So meaning wanting only a limited reunion to your daughter. I know i know it is the price of confession. I do not know what will be the twists in the coming episodes. Whatever it is, I do not think I can come to terms with the decision. Interestingly, till now and for once, I love Prosecutor and the 2 attorneys. I hope till the end.

I feel the biggest regret is the no ending for the lawyer's wife.

Such a bittersweet drama..

The plot was also well-crafted, and we never really knew what to expect — at one point, we even found ourselves suspecting different characters. The prison dynamics were both entertaining and deeply human. The ending was simple yet heartfelt.

Overall, this is a must-watch and one of Netflix’s best K-drama productions. It’s always a pleasure to see Kim Go-eun act; I’m definitely a fan.

Steve Dec 10 2025 12:06 pm I recently watched the well-reviewed "The Beast in Me" with Claire Danes. Like this drama it's a psychological thriller and also well acted. However, The Price of Confession delivered on a whole other level - the story was more engaging, more creative. The cast was perfect from top-to-bottom. The Price of Confession was one of the absolute best shows I watched in 2025.

Kim Go Eun definitely held her own candle next to the great Jeon Do-Yeon. If I was impressed in her earlier drama,"You, Me and Everything Else", Go Eun's way better here and as expected, Jeon Do Yeon never disappoints! The emotions on both actresses eyes speak volumes and depth!

Thank you so much for a marvelous serie! The whole cast and crew did a wonderful job.

As my knowledge of kdrama actors and actresses grew I learned, much to my surprise, they are two different actresses.

Since there is a resemblance, I've felt they could play mother and daughter.

I'm looking forward to this kdrama.
