Makoto Domon (Naohito Fujiki) used to work at a forensic science laboratory. He was the ace there and, with his high level of appraisal skills, was known as the Last Appraiser. Due to a case, he quit his job at the forensic science laboratory. Now, Makoto Domon runs his own appraisal office. He works with researcher Shuko Takakura (Mai Shiraishi), who is a psychology expert. They receive requests for scientific investigations from the police and judicial officials. The cases are difficult to solve, but they work diligently using a scientific approach.
