Lee Kang (Kang Tae-Oh) is the crown prince. He seems wild and unruly, but, inside, he hides his pain of losing someone he loves over a power struggle within the palace. He silently endures the weight of being the crown prince and dreams of a chance to take revenge one day. Park Dal-Yi (Kim Se-Jeong) is born-to be a peddler, with her sly and witty attitude and excellent speaking ability. Thanks to her talents, she is able to always sell her stuff. She has also lost some of her memories. One day, Lee Kang and Park Dal-Yi somehow have their souls swapped with each other.

I can trust SeJong for her acting for sure, it’s been a long time I’m not watching any drama, and she makes me watch this one. Also Hong Su Zu, finally she had her role correctly. Since her expression is way too bland, her role as the cold daughter of the villain father matched perfectly. I hope she can take acting lessons seriously. Since the entertainment industry is in a hard situation right now, I hope she can be serious and make better use of her opportunity.

kk Dec 27 2025 5:29 am ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This drama started airing on VIU Indonesia on November 7. I watched it because of Kang Tae Oh and Kim Se Jeong, and I’m really glad I did.

I really enjoyed the storyline. At first, I thought it might be similar to Mr. Queen, but it’s actually very different. Some episodes made me annoyed when they fought, but there were also many funny moments. When they started acting cute together, I laughed a lot.

I just finished episodes 13 and 14. Episode 13 made me cry after I understood why Kim Han Chul became evil. He was actually a good person, but he was deeply hurt by the King, who married the woman he loved even after promising to protect the Queen. I didn’t expect to cry, but I did.

In episode 14, I cried again when Park Dal was stabbed by Kim Han Chul. Then I cried more when Lee Gang, inside Park Dal’s body, cried because Lee Gang died. That scene really hit me.

I’m also glad the story of Lee Un and Kim Woo Hee was explained well — now I’m not curious anymore. Happy for them, finally married. And for Ohn Shin Won and Yoon Se Dol… please stop fighting over one woman, LOL.

The OST “Prayer” by Lee Ye Joon fits this drama perfectly. Especially at the end of episode 14 — it made the ending feel sad, happy, and emotional at the same time.

Overall, all supporting actors did a great job too. Congratulations to everyone involved.

I’m sad because it’s finished, but I’m also very happy. This is a very good last drama for the end of 2025. See you in 2026.

dramadramadrama Dec 27 2025 2:56 am Gave up at ep 9..story is kind of draggy and the parts with the Left state counsellor got really draggy, boring and complicated. The Prince could have just killed him a long time ago. I love historical dramas but this one was just a no.

Bagu Dec 21 2025 12:15 pm I was really looking forward to this drama, and I finally finished it. It’s a beautiful drama with a beautiful OST, and the chemistry between the leads was on fire. However, some episodes felt like they were dragging, and a few scenes were a bit overdramatic. Hong Su Zu was so expressionless that I couldn’t feel anything for her character. Still, it’s a fun drama overall, and it’s always nice to see Sejeong—she’s as charismatic as ever here.

Russell Dec 21 2025 2:12 am I wish I liked it as much as others are raving about it but I didn't. The writing was confusing and manipulative of the audience and I dislike that style of scriptwriting. I agree the acting was very good but that for me wasn't enough to counterbalance all the tiring twists and turns in the story. I guess I prefer a more straightforward storyline where the good characters remain good throughout and the bad characters remain bad. I do not like a writer who tries to make me have sympathy for a killer.

Maye Dec 20 2025 10:57 pm Honestly there was not one single boring episode in this drama...I personally love the actors espesially FL and ML both are outstanding...The ML really bought emotions through this drama..as first time seeing him acting.I love it! and Kim Seojeong? Brooo she is legend...People refused to watch because of her but you are so wrong...she is incredible.If you're not watching yet...you're 100 missing out because this is the best Kdrama to end year 2025.I'm not giving any spoilers because it will definitly ruins this masterpiece...I'm giving this a solid 10/10 I don't freaking understand why this Kdrama is overally underrated...you can litterly see the voting has 9 ratings which mean the storyline is incredible for the data ratings giving it solid 9 ratings

Emuhlye Dec 20 2025 2:36 pm All in all an absolutely fantastic drama. I love that they closed up everyone’s story and it’s the happy ending they all deserved. After learning what made the left minister evil I do feel for him. And in a twisted way it shows the power of love, whether for good or bad. I do love a good villain origin story. I know my earlier comment had some complaints about the second female lead but by the end I even enjoyed her character a lot. A win win of a drama.

Every single episode feels purposeful the character development, the emotional depth, the pacing, everything is done so beautifully that I never felt bored for even a second.

What I love the most is how the characters grow naturally as the story progresses. You really get to understand their motivations, their pain, their love, and their inner conflicts. It’s an emotional rollercoaster in the best way possible. one moment you’re smiling softly, the next you’re holding back tears, and then suddenly a plot twist hits you out of nowhere.

The storytelling is incredibly strong. The plot twists don’t feel forced, they’re smart, well placed, and actually make sense within the story. Each episode leaves you wanting more, and before you know it, you’re already several episodes in without realizing how much time has passed.

The cast deserves so much praise!!! Every actor fits their role perfectly, it honestly feels like these characters were made for them. The chemistry, the expressions, the emotional delivery… everything feels real and heartfelt. You can tell how much effort and care went into bringing this story to life.

The pacing is another huge plus. The story flows smoothly, giving enough time for emotional moments to breathe while still keeping the narrative engaging and impactful. It never drags, never feels rushed, just perfectly balanced.

At this point, I’m genuinely running out of words because Moon River is just THAT good. It’s beautiful, emotional, well written, and unforgettable. This is not just a drama you casually watch, it’s a drama you feel.

If you’re even slightly interested, TRUST ME: this is absolutely worth watching. I can’t recommend it enough. One of the best dramas I’ve watched, hands down!!

Watching Moon River is like having a complete set of meal, there's comedy, angst, romance, thriller and palace political intrigue. Must see, you wont regret it.

Jean Nov 23 2025 3:14 pm At first, I thought I wouldn’t like the ML paired with the FL, but it turns out their chemistry is actually amazing. I’d love to see them in a modern drama together in the future as well.

I also loved the GOT reference in Episode 4—the ML pulled it off so well. The music choices throughout the show are beautiful and really pleasant to listen to.

I can’t wait to watch the next episodes and see how the story unfolds.

Doen Nov 19 2025 12:55 am absolute banger, even tho it's a historical drama but the pace is really fast, every episode was really well made, from the cinematography, dialogue, settings. The best MBC drama this year, it will hit double digit for sure.

Sejeong and Taeoh acting were top notch, especially during exchange scenes, their body language, their expression really make this exchange scenes believeable. Their chemistry was really good too, not only their acting, but their visual are really suited with each other. Un character was really cool and quick witted, the friendship between Kang, Sedol and Shinwon was really fresh to watch, it was rare to see the casual friendship in Crown Prince character with his personal guard and eunuch.

I really loveee this drama, It's only four episode aired but I'm not ready to let them gooo.

Please just give it a go, third first episodes to be exact and you will love this.

chinchin Nov 16 2025 7:02 am I tried watching it for Kim Sejeong. It is her first historical drama, after all. suprisingly, her acting did not disappoint at all. I cannot also deny that Kang Tae Oh pinched my heart with every tear. The story is great and intriguing. The twist you thought will be revealed later, was told in the first part leaving the audience thing how will the story escalate. The rest of the cast was superb. The cinematography, the background music and every shot was a masterpiece. In episode 5, the peak of the comedy part of the drama will be 2shown. Their love and the King's pain on the other hand was firstly exposed. This drama will leave you hooked without you knowing. Try watching it and you'll never stop til the end!!!!
