Ryu Eun-Jung (Kim Go-Eun) seems like a normal woman, but she has candour in her personality that attracts people. Her best friend and life long rival is Cheon Sang-Yeon (Park Ji-Hyun). They first met during their elementary school days. Cheon Sang-Yeon came from a wealthy family background and she is a talented person. Ryu Eun-Jung was jealous of her, but they became best friends who sometimes hated each other the most. During their teens, 20's, and 30's, they would lose contact with each other and reconnect multiple times. Now, they are 42 years old. Ryu Eun-Jung works as a drama series writer and Cheon Sang-Yeon works as a successful movie producer. One day, Cheon Sang-Yeon suddenly appears in front of Ryu Eun-Jung.

SAM LOVES "YOU AND EVERYTHING ELSE" May 29 2026 9:48 am Look, I'm not the type to watch slice of life type of dramas or like emotional ones but this... made me change my mind. I was never the type to cry over movies, even in the saddest ones. The only time I felt emotionally affected is if an animal is included.

This drama isn't even about the romance and the Sang-hak stuff, it is centered on their complex relationship (friendship bcs some of yall are too ??), hence the slogan(?) on the poster "Caught between admiration and resentment"

Every episode seriously had me on the verge of crying. Though on the last episodes made me bawl my eyes out and cry a river. People who doesn't have the ability to comprehend their relationship (I meant the people who just started spewing bs on their iMDB reviews) would call this bad and even label some of the characters as the "good" or "bad" but guess what? There's no good and bad characters here. It's the nature of people and it truly shows the different personalities and colors of humans.

This is my favorite show in general, not just in kdrama. The only show that can surpass "You and everything else" in my list is if it makes me cry like I've never did before. Oh yeah, +1 cause one of the actresses is my favorite (Kim Go-eun).

So touching, very warming friendship (she deserved it, she should blessed and cherish the friendship instead of hurting her) kudos to the actress and writer...No Wonder this drama deserved the Baeksang Award.. Congratulations All... I hope this drama will received lots of awards. Really worth to watch.. No regret

Brynna May 19 2026 2:49 am it is a kind of weird "friendship" between Eunjung and Sangyeon. I said to myself Sangyeon was not a friend that Eunjung should cherish. Until the end of the story, I still hoped that Kim Sanghak would appear and that finally Eunjung would accept him again. Sangyeon ruined Eunjung' s life and happiness because she was so selfish. I cant understand Eunjung at all. but i really enjoyed the drama nevertheless

Neil Pereira May 18 2026 4:53 am One of the better series i have seen, i appreciate the complex relationship between the two girls, but the main take is this, one girl is a very lonely girl seeking someone to love her while the other appears to have everything. Both have a problem accepting the other. Both in fact cannot do without each other both hate each other but both love each very much. It is very much the last two episodes that gel the whole series together. It is very poignant and well worth watching

Sushi87 Nov 29 2025 4:42 pm What an excellent drama! I slowly watched per episode and did ep 11 to finale marathon. I cried so much at the quiet scenes in the end. It will make you reflect about friendships and life.

They casted the best actresses of this generation. PJH is at another level in acting. She's a chameleon. I watched her first in Do you Like Brahms. KGE has always been excellent. I loved her stable character.

hoihoi Nov 19 2025 8:02 am I understand why people hate Sangyeon, but I also understand her (kinda). She tried hard to suppress her own feeling. I also understand how Sanghak can empathize with her. But I feel like they also forgot how Eunjung also like Sanghak-oppa, that she sent heartfelt letter that never reach him, that she blamed herself for years as well. Just because Eunjung open up, doesn't mean she is less important in the story of finding Sanghak's truth. It's hurtful yet it's raw and realistic. All actors are doing great. I really love this drama.

Stef Nov 07 2025 7:13 pm I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this drama. Like some of the more recent comments here I thought the acting was top tier. I thought all the actors did a fantastic job and were believable. The script was good. It felt realistic and the emotions and actions I could understand from looking at it from each viewpoint. I give kudos because the way it dealt with topics like identity, suicide, friendship, competition, love and hate was so well handled. I could see whoever wrote this work thought long and hard about all the characters and their behaviours. We aren't perfect, our friends aren't perfect nor our parents and work colleagues. It was a drama I watched till the end which I can't say I do much these days with the diminishing quality and copy and paste nature of scripts and acting these days. This was good and I recommend it. It leaves me constantly thinking what would I do in that position. I was invested in the characters and cared what happened to them.

Bimini Oct 21 2025 6:48 am Wow. Who first developed this story? Song Hye-jin gets great credit for this very, very, well crafted script. Storyline sticks with me long after I finished watching. Was it malicious cruelty until the very end? For both of them, or just the one? Would I, personally, ever really recover if I had lived Eun-Jung's role? And I have known someone like this - just not my whole life (yet). Stellar performances by all the cast members, especially the two leads. It must have been exhausting to film. How do you wash characters like these two out of your skin when you are done? Totally unlike any other drama playing right now. Very, very good.

So realistic, this kdrama shows us that the grass is always greener on the other side. I totally understand why Eun Jeong forgives San Yeong. I totally understand why San Yeong did what she did. Loneliness and jealousy can really change someone, please see everything from 2 pov.. The plot twist makes sense, the story line flows perfectly, the acting is on point. definitely recommended♡

Blue Oct 10 2025 11:34 pm This was a frustrating watch. I will finish it… but Cheon Sang-Yeo really pissed me off. She was the worst friend. She sabotaged Ryu Eun-Jung‘s life constantly. I think the one thing people didn’t realize is that she Purposely came back to Ryu Eun-Jung life after constantly hurting. Before she passes I get the vibe she only showed up because Ryu Eun-Jung said “no one will be there when you did.” She basically said “I know you will because I no you can’t say no to me.” It’s almost insulting. For almost 25 years she was a thorn in her side. I did not feel bad for Cheon Sang-Yeo. She wanted to ruin Eun-Jung and fate showed her that karma bites back.

Didn't liked the character of 2nd female lead.Such a toxic in my opinion and feel bad for the main female lead character. The cast was great . The acting was great . But the storyline was too worse in my opinion.

The whole production - story, director, cinematics were exceptional and well done.

Who remains friends with a psychopath unless you're a masochist? Sympathy, forgiveness, unconditional friendship, disrespect, this list goes on and on of an emotional roller coaster.

FL is actualky a lowkey toxic person. She always let her emotions overpower her unlike the CSY . SL is confrontational and she doesnt sugarcoat, that is why she's always misunderstood. every confrontations she had with FL, all i see is she was trying to make the FL understand the situations. especially when she challenged the FL that she's gonna pursue KSH. what i just hate is how SL couldnt get iver with KSH. she's better alone. SL is the most pitiful in this drama yet she never showed it to anyone or make drama about it.

Ryu Eun-Jung role represents a decent normal human who has to push up with these unusual behaviors of someone who is called " childhood friend". Ordinary people will just end the friendship and doesn't get involved with toxic person like that.

The consistent and brilliant use of contrast to build the narrative, develop internal conflicts, and shape Cheon Sang-Yeon's character is mindblowing. This consistency from the first episode to the last is what makes it so engrossing; I was completely engaged the entire time. I also loved how every character felt essential to the story's flow, including the supporting roles—ibang klase! The way the series subtly weaves in themes of favoritism, complex family dynamics, and societal issues adds so many rewarding layers to appreciate. A truly brilliant watch.

This series is notably one if not The Best of 2025...

I'm not a fan of Kim Go Eun but darn, she is definitely a versatile actress! Hats off to the 2 main female leads albeit Park Ji Hyun is annoying. I prefer the young child actress portraying Cheong Sang Yeon.

Kim Go Eun's acting is really beyond what I can imagine. All emotions are poured into her movements and expressions, truly an extraordinary actress.

Well even though CSY is very annoying, but somehow I can feel that she is a victim of lack of love from her family since childhood, which forms a person who always wants to be recognized.

Overall, best drama of 2025 hopefully it will get many awards

Natasyair Sep 15 2025 1:33 am Ok REJ actually an empath, that is one of her strength and flaws at the same time..she knows the boundaries but always give a chance to people who don't deserve..at least she know how to defend and used the right hurtful words..on the other side CSY I think has NPD traits with avoidant attachment..the character was portrayed quite irritating, almost toxic but the writer makes us see how pity and hurtful her story..so i kinda hesitate whether to hate her or pity her..

But overall the story felt real..almost like actual day to day reality ..both actress's performances was great..we can feel the emotion trough the screen almost triggering..

Well done drama in 2025..another plus point is you can actually watch ini one go (but be prepared for all the emotional burden)

Brian V Sep 14 2025 1:20 pm Netflix just added this series, and I'm quite happy they did. I'm already on episode 4, and the show has been very compelling. It flows so well, and it's just a pleasant series. I just adore Kim Go-Eun from Little Women, and Joo Min-Kyung is one of my favourite actresses. Seo Jung-Yeon from One Spring Night (my second favourite KDrama of all time), always makes me think of how she pronounced, "Bok-Gyu" from My Demon.

Kim Go-Eun is just so charismatic, and makes this show feel warm and friendly. I'd definitely recommend this show.

AMAN Sep 14 2025 6:57 am My Review till midway: I have just finished Ep.07. & i could tell, this can be easily the best show of 2025 after WLGYT... specially both FL's acting. they'll sure win bunch of awards for their acting..i knew Kim Go-Eun is just a fine actress but i swear i didn't know Park Ji-Hyun can give her tough competition... and after ep.07 ending i can only say that if you are in a relationship you can't hide any secret forever specially which could harm your relationship..and you should clear any misunderstanding imminently don't just wait for right time. i know he was being considerate to Cheon Sang-Yeon but man what about your GF... lets see how the story goes but till now i am loving this show...

aisya Sep 12 2025 9:37 pm wtf did I just watch... this movie is excruciating to watch (in a good way). i went through several mental toll all in one night because i finished this season in one sitting. they should've put a literal trigger warning on every episode because it'll definitely trigger your trauma (it triggers mine even though i don't have any). this movie is so painful yet so good, beautifully written 10/10.

criedalot Sep 12 2025 1:44 pm I love Kim Go-Un's work but couldn't watched that. Just Started first episode and my childhood memories didn't let me to continue... I can relate her so much that hurts a lot. The silenced poor kids while everybody acts like bitter corners of their life is public. When her classmate passively bully her i feel so deep. Kicking her project/screaming her family situation. Teacher favorism on rich rude kids. Everybody acts like poor kids somehow owned others all privileges or should sacrifice any small options. Silent at school because she knows that anything she says can be used later. She is not participating anything bcs she doesn't want any attention. Everything she makes at school stressess her so much. after school she relieves and feel bad about all happened. Constantly wants to sleep to erase that days uncontrollable feelings. That total feeling could be called uneasy all the time but can not define the reason. Even anything unimportant happens first person to judged is her. They expect all bad comes from her. Or she must jealous she must done intentionally. When u are in her shoes can't afford any mistake. I get her so well that hurts so much. Maybe i invented so much or related and exaggerating. Cant tell bcs still crying. Years of therapy still that unreasonable silent hate treatment from others hurts so much... Please don't let your kids to bully other kids. it never heal.
