Set in the year 1998, Park Se-Ri (Shin Eun-Soo) attends high school in Busan and is 19 years old. She has never been able to confess her feelings to anyone, due to her extremely curly hair that cannot be changed no matter how hard she tries. She has a crush on Kim Hyun (Cha Woo-Min), who happens to be the most popular male student at the school. One day, a transfer student from Seoul, named Han Yun-Seok (Gong Myung), arrives at the high school that Park Se-Ri attends. He is 20 years old, which is a year older than the other students. His background story is unknown to his new classmates, but he transferred to Busan after giving up on taking his university entrance exam. With an indifferent attitude, Han Yun-Seok watches Park Se-Ri try to fulfill her unrequited love. Meanwhile, Park Se-Ri tries to approach Han Yun-Seok, who is her only solution to successfully confessing her feelings to Kim Hyun. Park Se-Ri is also good friends with Baek Sung-Rae (Yoon Sang-Hyeon), who tries to help her with her confession plan, and Ko In-Jung (Kang Mi-Na), who is her rival and tells her the secret of having straight hair.

I don't regret watching it because it's worth it. You made us, the viewers, happy. We were entertained a lot, cried a lot, and we were all thrilled. I hope there will be more like this in the future. 10/10

Renwa Sep 03 2025 1:05 am Lovely enjoyable “movie” well acted, directed and written. Respectfully, some literary criticism but certainly not criticism. Viewers seemed left with impression that there was more, like a full drama leaving the story as an outline of more to come. The nuances of a coming age story were beautifully there through talented actors, Gong Myung and Shin Eun-Soo. But the anticipation of more depth and more to come was there throughout. If this was the result of limited financial backing for this project, there’s certainly a case to be made for more as the talent and audience is there. Still pondering the cameo appearance of our dear Gong Yoo.

Happy Sep 01 2025 10:25 am For the first time in a long time I cried happy tears and just enjoyed this from start to finish. Thank the stars it didnt end up being a k trauma. We need more like this. Movies dont always have to reflect harsh realities. Life can be really pretty too you know. And if not that movies can also just be an escape. You won't regret watching this.

Styling was perfect those 90s styles, here they really act & behaved like children ,their friendships crushes love, Very nostalgic . Not typical clique love triangle . I was reluctant first with Gongmyung I mean he is a great actor but really I didnt expect him with this rookie actors in early twenties but really he really nailed the role he was really a teenager there. Shin Ye Sun is such a ggood new actress fan since twinkling watermelon . I really hope to see Gong myung & her again in some drama probably as adults . Really this is such a good teen movie .

Short and sweet, I enjoyed every bit of this movie even the songs that are featured we're so catchy. Although Gong Myung is a unfamiliar face to me I really loved his role and I'm excited to see more of him in other dramas. Thank you for an amazing watch.

Take away from Love Untangled - Don't change for anyone, the right people will love you exactly as you are.

Mary Aug 29 2025 12:49 pm Nice mostly light-hearted high school romance story. I liked that at the end she was wearing her lovely curly hair. No school bullying and pretty nice kids all around. Even the parents were good people and not constantly yelling and hitting (except for the evil dad of the ML and we didn´t see much of him.) Good acting from all. I enjoyed it.

Watched the movie today and it was greaaatttt. Good storyline, amazing casts, heartwarming too. It's been a while since I watch light rom-com. 9/10
