Jeong Hui-Ju (Ko Hyun-Jung) had a poor and fierce time during her youthful days. She is now a successful painter and essayist. Her husband is the successor of a hospital and they have two children. Her family life seems enviable, but Jeong Hui-Ju feels like she spends her time meaninglessly. At that time, Jeong Hui-Ju meets a woman. The woman is poor, just like Jeong Hui-Ju in her younger days, but she still shines.

Gal Jun 22 2025 4:06 am Worthit to watch, the ending is not good but the story happens in reality. Lots of weaknesses and downfall and how people react and handle their relationship. But it's a trigger to those who have experienced infidelity, cheating, vengeance. I watched till the end because I learned so much in this story. Activity showing emotions are best! Kudos to all who played their role. Ku Hyun Jung has always my favorite. Watch her foxy lady series so you can see the other side of her acting. ?

MJ Jun 11 2025 10:49 pm This drama should have a sequel. Still much to wonder about what happened to GuvHae-won, what's in the future for Jeong Hui-ju, and husband Hyeong-su, and therapist brother of Hui-ju.

The comments mostly condemn the characters for their weaknesses and mistakes. But that is the core of this somewgat dark drama - about the depth of emotions of people who fell in love, people who love each other passionately but lost in their passions, how love can be destructive, but also how love can be protective (like Hui-ju's motherly love for her children).

These emotions were so well played out and obviously, they provoked strong reactions from viewers. It means tge drama was effective! Bravo to the director and the actors, and also to the excellent cinematography!!

Ahjummah J Jun 08 2025 3:27 am This is a well developed drama, almost noir, with suspenseful build-up of unfolding truth in the bits and pieces of memory recollections played out in the plot. Shin Hyun Bin portrayed so well the vengeful pathetic self-pitying character absorbed in her victimhood. The major characters were all portrayed very well. The emotional tension and attraction between the secret lovers were very palpable and the husband's confused and locked up insecurity of love was also well played out. The script and dialogue were also well written.

I would give this a high rating.

Trigger warning, at 9 minutes into the second episode. Is everyone insane in this show? I got so triggered in the second episode, I don't think I can watch this show. This is irresponsible filmmaking. I haven't been so triggered since Negan killed Glenn in TWD. Google it if you're curious. I stopped watching that show immediately, back in October 2016, and forbade my very mature daughter from watching anymore after seeing her react to that scene. She obeyed me, because she understood why.

This show feels like a slow burn, but after the trigger, and after reading a few comments here, I'm counting myself lucky to be out after just 70 minutes of (wasted) time.

Now I have to calm myself, and get my blood pressure back under control, after that scene.

Hae-Won has sabotaged her life by herself by playing the victim, but Hue Jo’s life was sabotaged intentionally by someone else, I cannot get mad enough over the unfair ending, if I was Hue Jo, I would dedicate my life for revenge!!

Like it was not enough to contribute the the death of someone, but also make Hue jo’s family hate her forever, so unjustified.

Remember the phrase when Hae Won said the wedding thing about Woo Jae? She said something like this "It's no different, we'll get married anyway" means they're in a relationship they just get married earlier because they need it.

Park Min Aug 13 2023 6:07 am The characters were its biggest downfall. All the characters were insane, demented, deranged and devoid of integrity. There was no layers to their madness. You'll have to humanize them first before stripping it away. Skipping the first step would devalue their actions and take away from the watching experience. Aside from the characters, the drama was excruciatingly slow for no apparent reason other than filling the contracted runtime. Slow burners are acceptable when they serve a purpose to either immerse the viewers into its world or to seamlessly build up the tension. The drama failed to do either. The twists were overdone for the sake of it rather than adding to the narrative meaningfully. Even then, they weren't appealing nor interesting. Once the memory was restored the drama took a sharp and sudden turn for the worst going against what it tried to build up to, this includes the ending. One more thing, there was an attempt to have a play on artistic symbolism but none of which landed well. Partially because of the two aforementioned points.

GrassForNeos Sep 12 2022 9:44 pm One thing for sure - everyone in this drama need therapists. It is recommended for those who love slice of life, melodrama & heavy storylines.

No matter what others said, the drama is good. I value the mysterious vibes that hinting to the past at every episodes. The cinematography are absolutely amazing. However, It would be nice if the backstory of the past between Jeong Hui-Ju, Seo Woo-Jae & Gu Hae-Won is much more emphasize and detailed. I feel like their backstory has something missing and not enough explain.

Gu Hae Won - I know that she felt betrayed and angered on what they did to her but that does not justify her actions. She is not innocent nor a good person that she makes herself to be. First, she knew from the started that she married Seo Woo-Jae for the inconvenience of studying abroad and Visa or whatever. Their relationship is just between a junior and a senior at school not a romantic relationship. Seo Woo-Jae never hinted or saying that he likes or loves her. It seems like she has a one-sided love or maybe obsession which she never confessed for. She even saying that Woo-Jae is her friend to Hui-Ju when he had to replace her to teached Hui-Ju painting.

Second, she used her own student (Lee Ju-Yeong & her dad) to do her revenge towards Hui-Ju. What kind of teacher does that? Giving a bad example to her student and even brainwashed her to do the same. The fact that she also lied to Lee Ju-Yeong's dad to do whatever she wants is also just fucked up.

Third, she is definitely a fool for wasting her life just for a guy who doesn't reciprocate her feelings. All those years has been wasted for being sad and not moving on. She should've spend time more with her grandpa (poor old man who has to worry about his stupid granddaughter and daughter at that age). She could have build herself to be a successful painter and show how great and happy her life is instead of doing petty revenge by stalking Hui-Ju and her family which they did not deserve cause Hui-Ju is the wronged one. It makes her seems pathetic and so annoying that I feel like she does not deserves that kind of ending.

Jeong Hui Ju - She made a lot of mistakes especially for being a cheater. I do not condone a cheating behaviour. Even though she always living on the edge because of her mother in law, that is her choice. I also understand that her husband neglected her in order to become a perfect son, she should've divorce him if she's not happy instead of cheating and impregnated Woo-Jae's son at Ireland. How selfish of her to do that for the two men that loves her. Everything that happened, that is the price that she needs to pay for playing with people hearts. She needs to learn how to communicate instead of sweeping it under the rug. Tell her husband, her daughter (Lisa), & her mother in law the truth. Also, it is unfair to Ho-su cause he will never know who his real father is.

From the started, she just scared of her wrongdoings to be exposed instead of deeply regretted and apologize to all the people that she hurt. It took someone that she loves to die for her to feel that. And it is unfair to her husband and children for her to left like that.

Seo Woo Jae - Like Hui-Ju said he is so reckless. I think he should've not giving Hae-won hope or misunderstanding about their relationship. Also, his way of thinking on how it is okay for Hui-Ju to be cheating on her husband is just not it. That shows how red flag he is. Out of all, I think he is the one who need to see therapist more because of his past with his dad. He was so determined to not be like him that makes him turned into one. At one point, I do understand why he is so obsessed with Hui-Ju after he regained his memories. It is because he needs closure. The closure to why Hui-Ju abandoned him just like that without any explanation, never got to see his son grew up and the years that he lost for being in a coma.

Everybody in this drama made mistakes. From the husband, mother in law, sister in law, brother in law, Lisa, Lee Ju Yeong, Ju Yeong's father. I feel like all of them need to repented and pay for their mistakes and being a better person.

This melodrama was so depressing without any scenes to lighten it up here and there. The "angry screams" were waaayyy over the top. Poor direction. Ending was the only solution available and expected, but unsatisfying.

The do melodramatic- every one has a personality disorder .the daughter is everywhere - where she should not be and catches her Mom with her liver. She is portrayed very rude- you don't talk the way she did. Even the children. It could have finished earlier- too dragging. Liked the main actor he is really good- would like to watch more of his dramas. Ko Hyun Jung and Shin Hyun Bn were good. Overall good . Ending was a bit uncalled for.

The funny thing is even when in his death bed he is looking, begging for his mistress presence. The mother in law act that way because she doesn't want to be insignificant like how her husband made her feel.That is why she doesn't want to be shush or hushed while speaking. lotlot96 Apr 07 2022 1:09 am SPOILERS. So here's my take on this masterpiece, in the end, everything got what they deserved and running from.

Hui-ju was so afraid to be left by her family even deluding everyone that she did not commit any mistake, and so she got it in the end, that was the price she had to pay for never owning up to her mistake. And also, we are shown from the very beginning that Hui-ju never loved anyone else more than her own self. In the end though, she realized that she loved her family, her daughter, more that her self, and it's too late for that, she was given years to repent, she wasted all of that.

Hyeon-seong, neglected her family and let Hui-ju become a servant to her mother, naturally Hui-ju wanted to leave him from the very start. When he realized what his wife was doing, he didn't want to confront anything he imprisoned everyone to this perfect family that he fabricated. And so at the end, everyone left his prison with everyone confronting their own problems. It was the price he had to pay from the very start, and if only he let Hui-ju asked for everyone's forgiveness, his end may have been better.

Woo-jae, in my eyes, was the shallowest person here. He didn't know how it feels to be loved as his father never really cared for him. He wanted to prove to everyone that he is different from his father. That his love is purer that anyone and that his love is more absolute than anyone, just how his father loved art. He was a mirror of his father. Just as how his father was obsessed with art, he was obsessed with Hui-ju. Just as how his father neglected him, his only true family, he neglected Hae-won, the person who truly loved him. For he wanted to own someone else's life, Hui-ju and his son, his own life was his payment.

And for the real mvp of this drama, Hae-won seriously deserved her happy ending. She would have been a greater artist than Hui-ju if only she wasn't betrayed. She would have been a great artist if only Hui-ju and Woo-jae asked for her forgiveness. She would have been a great artist if only she wasn't left in the dark for so many years. Her life stopped right then and there with no explanations from her husband and best friend, suddenly everyone just vanished. And yes, her depression is valid. All she wanted was for everyone to own up to their mistakes and ask for her forgiveness. She did not want to ruin anyone as she already ruined herself, just a sorry so that she can continue living on, but no one gave her that. She had to the worst of mentally pressuring everyone. She was almost killed as a price for her neglecting her child and her life but she was given another chance to redeem herself as she was just a victim. She wasn't the original sinner, she only acted as a cruel judge to put a break to everyone's madness.

All in all the story is so frustrating as everyone is twisted in their own ways. The 2 female leads are so great at portraying their own roles.

We see that Jeong Hui-Ju did not repent of her sins (hypocrisy, oppressed lust,and,in fact,continued her malicious action.I do not know if there is a similar Korean series,where you can not find the project for the elevation of the human condition,as is usually the case with Korean masterpieces. The series is a pseudo-cultural puzzle.The series does not present the internal situations in a clear way,as if the screenwriter was in a state of mental blur.

She destroyed her friends marriage and acted like she did nothing all time. She was a cheater and she acted like she was a saint, trying to hide her past and wear a mask infront of everyone. For me was a unlikeable character and the real "villain" there. He only reason because the oher was constantly confronting her , she wanted I know the truth, Why she did that , why she didn't tell her, she only wanted an explanation and maybe an "I'm sorry" but that never comes. And the after all that suffering, when her husband comes back with his memory's lose "the poor wife/cheater mode" starts all over again , first acting like she doesn't want o get involved with him but asking everything about him in every occasion, looking for him, talking secretly.. it's so sick, she destroyed her life for second time and she didn't care at all, she even lie to her rich husband Again. I mean first she ruined her friends marriage, escapes to another country, had a baby , and then.. when she started to live in poverty...surprise!! she didn't like to live like that...decides to drug the guy, steal his passport and run away to her luxury life.. acting like she did nothing Wrong...was so sick! and after all that when her ex lover appears she wanted him again... Is like " I wanted , I got it . I got it , I don't want it ", but if someone else is able to have that she wanted that again. And yes, I know that she isn't the only culprit here, the other guy was an hypocrite just like her , lying , looking for her, for..yes second time...both are trash and I can't understand why are people who sees her as a victim.

For me she deserves  all the hate that her mother in law's gives to her and deserved only the worst in life. She had plenty opportunities for redemption but she chooses to be a lady in distress , even her ex-friend  waited for an apology. maybe the method  wasn't so likable for others , but making her life more difficult", confronting constantly about the truth was the minimum she deserved for all the pain that she causes to his husband, ex friend and ex lover at some point.

Sophiyyah Jan 12 2022 8:46 am I read half of the comments, and it is quite funny how the audience sees gu hae won as the villain here. Yes, she is twisted, but aren't all the characters twisted? I read a comment about how she ruined her own life by playing a victim or so, but aren't you all just diverting from the theme of the drama. I was angry at her character at first, I mean why ruin her life for a guy who does not love her. But her statement about being judged by people who know nothing about what she is going through hit home. And that is what half of the people in the comments section are doing. Guys, this woman was betrayed by the people she loves most, you all argue that the marriage was just on paper, but was it just that? This man had ample time and opportunity to turn her down, but he played along, just to protect her feelings? During the wedding photoshoot he could have turned her down but he didn't he played along.

Plus she lost her child, it is quite evident from at least episode 10, that something was driving this woman's anger, and it was later revealed. How come just a marriage on paper turned out to pregnancy. Just like the saying goes "we all have a monster inside us" hu Ji and her lover woke the monster in the haewon. Funny how the people who are the cause of destruction is being sympathised with in the comment section. Without the adultery both families will have led a nice life, though kang and hae won might not later end up together. She was manipulative yes especially in the case of the Pool room owner, but in a way she rescrued his daughter from him. Gu hae won is not the only twisted character in this drama, they are all twisted. Especially the hu Ji who refused to at least apologize sincerely to her family and to the woman who adored her. Huji is not the victim, she is the explosive that destroyed the lives of the other characters. Someone said she made a "mistake" I laughed when I read the comment, adultery is not a mistake, it is a choice made consciously. Do not justify adultery by tagging it as a mistake. And who makes the same mistake more than once

sad Dec 19 2021 3:05 am Don’t care what anyone says, for me this is the best drama of 2021! Probably my top 3 of all time. It reminds me a bit of Mine (2021) idk why, but a little darker. Top performances by all the actors, especially the main ones. My favourite character of the series is definitely Gu Hae Won. Yes, she is psychotic but I understand why she became like that. But, they all have their own stories so you really can’t judge them. Gotta thanks Netflix + JTBC always produced high quality drama. I assumed there will be a S2 based on the ending of the story. It sad what happened to Hae Won ended up the same for Hui Ju. That’s why the title is Reflection of You.

banananana Dec 16 2021 7:33 am As much as others hate this drama, I enjoyed it very much. So it depends on your own preference I guess. For me, the plot really went like a roller coaster. I feel tempted to keep watching every episode. In one episode, they made this character looks bad. But then in the next episode, he/she was just a victim. All the dots are connected eventually in the end. But seeing how this drama ended, I'm expecting another season. I'm not saying it was left hanging, it's just I can sense that their stories can be more than what has been shown in episode 16. So I would be happy if the writer could write a continuity on that.

Binni Dec 14 2021 4:48 pm I'm not the type to comment but seeing the reviews here made me want to share my opinion cause it feels like I didn't watch the same drama as the people here.

This is one of the most entertaining drama I've ever watched. This is a like a makjang drama but more sophisticated lol. The characters are so dramatic it's funny. I think it's refreshing to not always have characters with perfect personality. It shows how twisted humans can become. I was so hooked and finished it quickly. Cliffhangers on point. Acting on point.

I was rooting for Huiju at the beginning cause Haewon looked so scary and crazy and at the end I was wishing for Haewon to move on and start anew. I think that it's stupid from both of them to let their lives being wrecked because of a guy. Who doesn't even worth it at all. The only time I was okay with him was when he lost his memories.

The most pitiful character is Haewon, she lost her love and a friend. Being betrayed is a heart breaking feeling. It's true that Woojae and Haewon married for their visa but I don't think it was a one sided love, they were planning their future together and were clearly dating. Otherwise, Huiju and Woojae didn't have to act like that. Still Woojae and Haewon are both psycho and pathetic. They are a match made in heaven.

The really annoying characters for me were the brother and the kids. The brother character was so useless in the story and his love line with Haewon was the most difficult thing to watch, i wanted to skipped their scenes so bad. I guess I was in for the craziness and his character playing saint was so annoying and despicable. And the kids ... ah no respect whatsoever for their parents who really failed to educate them. When Huiju left them, I was proud of her. Lol. Maybe I am crazy too but I wanted them to feel what it's like to not have her by their sides. I felt sorry for them sometimes but they are just ungrateful brats.

For me, this drama is the incarnation of karma. They are all victims of an affair but all deserved what happened to them. Their misery came cause any of them took responsibility for their acts. I wish the viper grandma experienced some karma too.

To know that the crazed MIL will have the primary job of raising HJ's mentally fragile children was distressing. So happy to learn from other posts and readings that there will be a possible Season 2. This relieves my angst and frustration with the ending in Season 1 with HW wreaking havoc and going on to have a happy ending. The possibility of a Season 2 will address unresolved issues and now there is a greater understanding of the husband's warning to HW that she had better not be lying about WJ and HJ leaving to be together.

HW character was so psychotic even from the beginning in her manner to refuse to recognize WJ reluctance towards marriage on paper to advance the study abroad and then insist upon marrying when he had no memory. The manipulation was horrifying. To extend the manipulation she successfully assigned years in jail for the failed pool hall owner and basically took his daughter. What happens when that young lady finds out how her good fortune occurred. What I found most disturbing was the wanton use of the children. Driving a teen to self mutilation and further psychological damage to have her commit murder. Separating the teen from accountability only furthers her psychological challenges. Young teen girls have such difficulties with relationships I wish the storyline could have gone further (20 episodes ???). Given the mother-in-law's hold on the whole family, I understand Hj comment to her friend that when she was with WJ it was the only time she felt she could be herself . Tragic drama that I wish could have left some resolution for the children. All of this for a perceived belief that revenge brings resolution Frustrated as a mother of 5, a pediatric nurse that adults may have burdens that are never placed on the shoulders of children.

Ended up with no likeable personalities in it. Not sure WJ would give up on promising art career for past love who had no intention of ending her marriage. Highly unlikely that H Won character would have that much power, that she could manipulate everyone’s lives. And she is the only one who gets the happy ending. Don’t buy idea that you would walk away from your family due to self defence accident, daughter was only protecting her mother. Lazy writing in my book.

No one owed HW anything. Life has challenges, hurts, trials, and tribulations. You learn from every experience, you deal with it, you self-actualize and you move on. If you can't deal with it, you seek professional mental health intervention. You don't go around intentionally lying, mentally manipulating, and physically hurting children, drugging and stalking a man, destroying a woman because someone left you. Ultimately, acting as judge, jury, and God. Other people can not make you whole. HW certainly did not deserve a happy ending. Now she destroyed everyone's life so she can move on and peacefully become an artist. What insanity is that? The writer is beyond ludicrous to glorify insanity as justifiable because someone felt wronged.

Then he was presented to the viewers as a seducer, a man who seduced two women. In the end, he is painted as a person who is obsessed with that woman. At the end of the drama, there is not even a single positive character in it. The most poisonous character in here is indubitable, HW. She has constantly spread her discord seeds everywhere. She analyzes and formulates theories about the behaviour of all, but her as if she were the holder of the absolute truth and all things should happen as she wants them to happen. What a BS has made the writer from this drama. It could have been such a nice drama if the writer would have been sane and not obsessed with fatality.

Gu Hae-Won reminds me of a Korean Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. She is more deliberate but as crazy, demented, and dangerous. The character, Seo Woo-Jae, is a bit schizophrenic. Is he the Korean Brad Pit in the middle of Jeong Hui-Ju and Gu Hae-Won? Does he love Hui-Ju? Or is he just obsessed with getting what he cannot have? Jeong Hui-Ju is a scarred bird trapped in a golden cage. She is trapped by her history (raised in a poor family with an abusive father and a selfish mother), trapped in her marriage (the nasty mother-in-law, the passive-aggressive sister-in-law who allows her husband to abuse her, and a powerful and ruthless husband.) Despite her wealth and privileges, she is a mere servant to all these people (her husband, her children, her in-laws, etc.)

I am annoyed with all the characters, and while I find Jeong Hui-Ju pathetic, I have more sympathy for her. She made a mistake and made it worse by not coming clean, thus, handing her enemies the ammunition to destroy her. They say that karma is a b*tch: even when she tries to clean up her life, it's neither straightforward not easy. For example, in episode 14, she confessed to Woo-Jae that she did love him, but that was in the past. She begged him to let it go. Of course, Woo-Jae would not. Net/net: We all make mistakes, and thankfully, we don't all have a Gu Hae-Won as our prosecutor, judge, and juror.Hae-Won holds other responsible for her injured feelings and wants accountability yet refuses to accept responsibility or be accountable for her own actions. She needs to put her big girl's pants and accept that life sucks and you can't always get what you want. Btw, the brother needs to tell his friend's mother to get a life. He has such a f$%%-up sense of forgiveness that it was laughable when he advised Hui-Ju to ask Hae-Won for forgiveness.

(People are you using these points to criticise this drama) and am confused. Why must we be taught something? Why must we like the characters? Why must we root for characters? So long as the drama keeps you curious about knowing what would come next, then it has done its job & it's doing its job to entertain you. Even if it frustrates you, it's still doing its job because you keep watching. In conclusion, A Drama Just Needs To Be Entertaining. Next, he tells HJ that he would be able to kill everyone who tries to harm her. I don't know what to think about him anymore. HJ seems to be a very calculated woman who knows how to achieve her goals despite her vulnerable look. HW remains the same mentally sick, detestable character. The end of this drama doesn't go in the direction I would have wanted to go.

Confusion Nov 20 2021 6:27 am After episode 12 I’ve now crowned this as the most insane kdrama I’ve ever watched, tho I’ll continue watching cuz it’s so crazy it’s interesting to see what happens next. However I’ve come to accept that none of the characters in here are sane. If you think about it, the most sane and likeable one was actually HaeWon before she was betrayed by two people who were THE closest to her. I never have and will justify all the insane things she’s done, but she seemed like the one person who had emotions and truly cared for people, and you could tell why she acts the way she is. The others have been the same level of craziness since the start (we just never knew). HS turned out to be crazier than HW, WJ was a completely irresponsible asshole with no emotions who then somehow fell in love with HJ’s beauty, and HJ didn’t seem to love anyone, only herself (had a hard time figuring out whether she actually loved her kids or not; regardless she’s a bad mom), and she’s never showed ANY remorse or guilt despite cheating and ruining HW and WJ’s lives. It’s a shame cuz all the actors and actresses in here are amazing, the cinematography is also great, but I feel the characters were written in a way that just wasn’t likeable enough for most people to continue watching.

I have no other words for them. They are despicable. I don’t know why the kdrama is romanticizing their cheating. I am watching it right now, and the guy said “why are we hiding we did nothing wrong.” There are no morals in this story. It’s truly disturbing how they act. Extent of moral decadence is raising someone elses child as husband's and even going as far as propping him up as next heir. Anyone who finds these two cheaters charming need to experience same trauma and check if the cheating partner makes a charming couple with other cheater.

Did she lose her child because she jumped into the water after she was abandoned by WJ, or did she jump into the water because she lost her child after she realised that she was abandoned? Another thought that I have is that HW doesn't have any proof about HJ and WJ's cheating. It is just her assumption about their cheating started from WJ's paint. That is why she needs HJ's confession so she can blackmail her. She is trying to do the same with HJ's husband about the accident. I saw a little change in good in Lisa's behaviour towards her mother when she realised that there is a risk her mother could abandon her. I said in another comment that HW's behaviour ressembles with HJ mother-in-law, but it's also ressembled with Ok-Soo's. Anyway, HW became more and more annoying. How do I wish to be ended this story is that HJ and WJ holding their hands and die together jumping from the cliff in Ireland? It will be the only way for both to escape from HW and be together. So, HW and her obsessive desire for revenge will remain to suffer for entire her life. Good luck in suffering, psychopath girl.

Babymon Nov 12 2021 1:46 am Anyone supporting HW in my opinion would be just as despicable in the name of revenge. How could you support a character who has shown multiple times she doesn't mind using/manipulating kids in order to enact vengeance. In my opinion, she's worse than HJ & WJ. If she wanted true vengeance then she should have ratted HJ to her mother in law, not stalk her family, hurt her daughter(no matter how rude),approach her son multiple times as a friend and use her daughter's close friend. If she wanted to rub it HJ's face that she has the man she stile from her, keeping him away from HJ who he doesn't remember and having him fall for her would have been a better strategy. At this point am just watching (with indifference) to know how they'll end it. All characters in this drama don't deserve support from their audience. All of them are terrible, including HJ's husband. Not supporting his wife and letting her endure all that emotional abuse from his family says all I need to know about him. Their daughter, Lord help me, needs better parenting & their son needs to be distanced from his grandmother(she's an awful influence). In summary, HW is as shitty (if not worse) than the other characters (even the adulterer and cheater). She's talking about not being properly apologised to by both WJ & HJ. But even she hasn't properly apologised for hurting HJ's daughter. Every apology she gave was strategised & half-assed. If you can't give a sincere apology why should they give you one?. It's like the writers want her to appear like a victim but it's obvious to us (reasonable people) that she's just playing & weaponizing the victim role/mentality.

The appearance, the comfortable situation has been privileged over the Truth of the feelings. Jeong Hui-Ju and Seo Woo-Jae should have confessed their love from the start and take their responsibility. Their lives are both built on lies and splash those around them. It's sad for the children, the husband : who claims not to know, Hae-Won the wife : the lost woman who wants revenge for treason and all the relatives who know and who plays the comedy and lie too.

sf Nov 11 2021 9:50 am HW is crazy. She becomes like HJ’s mother in law, keeping by force a man who doesn’t love her. And again, she uses a child to reach her goal. How could I feel sympathy for her when she is acting like this? The only enemy of HW is herself. No matter what other people say, I see real chemistry between so-called cheaters. If they would not have existed in this show, I don't think I would have looked forward so eagerly to each episode.

These two actors are perfect for playing their characters. Some comments say HJ didn't have strong reasons for cheating. I say she had because the only sweet words she had heard were from WJ. Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law treat her awful, her daughter the same and her husband, in that period, was too busy with work so, living in that family was hell for HJ. HW managed the things in a way that she became for good, the master of WJ.  She doesn't want to understand that no one should be the master of anybody. Only because she loves JW doesn't mean that he should stay with her forever. The one who brings misery to people around is HW, not HJ.

Second, have I connect with any of the actors. Finally, do I really care what happens in the end. I know, it's only a Drama! I would be very angry if a teacher slapped my daughter!!! But, truthfully, if my daughter acted like she did to her Mother, I would of already taken action. I am not interested in what some Cougar does in her private life. I suppose if I had to choose one person of interest it would be Hae-Won (Although, she might turn out to be the bad person in this Drama). I do believe Hae-Won is by far the best Actor in this Drama. So, it comes down to I care what happens. For me, it's on to another Korean Drama, but, hope the rest of you love Reflection of You.

The main characters, both of them are guilty making people around them feel miserable. Poor girl, she started to hurt herself! And poor boy, because his father is the sculptor, and I am sure his actual father knows it, and he still loves him. And when one of the parties also has obsessive tendencies and is psychotic (because of the two adulteries), things end in the worst possible way. Isn't life hard enough and challenging enough to fill our souls with such horrible betrayals?

smolflcwer Nov 10 2021 12:53 pm I watched this series just for the fact that I wanted to see some Kim Jae Young and it was on netflix. <3 But lemme say, I didnt expect there to be extramarital affairs involved. I didn't even read the synopsis to begin with. I refused to watch VIP (starring Jang Nara & lee sang yoon) after a few episodes just for the reason that he had an affair in the series. This one is no different. I skipped most episodes and i dont think HW deserved to be treated the way she did, which probably explains why she went a little haywire. I don't understand why Kim Jae Young took on this role, I know he's a versatile actor but his character in this series disappointed me. And after 9 episodes i'm still confused as to why HJ cheated from the beginning, as her husband doesn't seem like such a bad guy.

I get that it's not enough to ruin your life for a guy, but Haewon is not an atypical character. There are so many people like her in the real world, where they did not have a very healthy reaction to breakups because they are not mentally stable in the first place. Even if Haewon is now abusing her role as the victim, let's not forget that she actually is. And to expect her to rise up above the two who betrayed her is unfair as it only puts the pressure on her who did not do anything wrong in the first place, and takes away the burden of consequence that Woojae and HuiJu should suffer from.

With the way Woojae and Hui Ju are acting irresponsibly and selfishly, I kinda wanna see them suffer in a way that they will really lose everything the way Haewon did. But I hope Haewon's life won't be ruined in the process. I feel like she deserves to be with someone like the Sun Woo, HuiJu's brother.

She is an artist herself yet, she abandoned her work as an artist and all her life goals is revenge. She, using the two teenage girls for her revenge will never sit well with me.

Woojae who has memory lost is back working as an artist while haewon keeps blaming the two for ruining her life. How did they ruin her life? Cant you move on. All she does everyday is wear her green coat looking miserable. Girl you are an artist. The best revenge is success.

It would have been understandable to be calling her a psycho if she were to be fighting with hui ju and she didn't know her at all and they were complete strangers cause the possibilities of hui ju not knowing would be high but that isn't the case cause again she's Best Friends With Hae-won. Hae-won is literally the victim in this whole mess how can you blame Hae-won in this "omg she's so pyscho shes taking revenge" She's literally asking hui-ju to stay away from her husband which she clearly can't as you can see in the recent episodes you see her try to run into him more and more so it's clearly in issue. She's literally the way she is cause of their actions you can't blame the way she is on her because she clearly wasn't like this in the past the events that were caused by hui-ju and Woo-Jae were the reason to why she changed so much.

The lukewarm ratings reflect this - people don't mind stories of extramarital affairs, but if they are expected to root for the parties involved, they better have a good justification for the affair (e.g. mistreatment from the spouse). On the other hand Hui Ju seems more like a toxic, selfish person who wants it all - the comfort and support of the wealthy family and the exciting romance with Woo Jae. No wonder Hae Won ended up an unhinged/ psychotic bitter person out for scorched earth.

She keeps on smiling even when she's supposed to feel anger or sadness, such as when she's being castigated by her mother in law, or when confronted by her ex lover when she's supposed to feel afraid or confused or when her daughter confronts her about her ex lover who she saw in Ireland. Weird acting.

I think she wants revenge so badly because she has been truly disrespected and hurt by Woo Jae, her lover, and Hui Ju, her friend. Till now, neither HJ nor WJ has told her about what exactly happened. She guessed or found out on her own and neither, especially HJ who lost no memories, has the basic decency to be honest with her and let her be able to move on with some dignity. Remember, not everyone react the same to bad or hurtful news. They both treated that woman with no absolute respect, complete disregard. And HJ has the nerve to get mad at HW, as if it was HW that wronged her. I am not rooting for the HJ WJ couple despite their chemistry, because even though they started out their affair in the wrong, they are still not trying to rectify their wrong. Just trying to hide it or in the case of WJ pretending to have suffered amnesia. Which if that is true, makes him a horrible SOB, for seeing how much he hurt HW but still basically continue of the same path. TBH, both HJ WJ are awful human beings. I won't be surprised if Hui Ju ends up killing Hae Won in a fit of rage and entitlement over the fact that she should not be reminded of her dupe and pretend like she never did a thing wrong. Awful woman, look closely at the character and you will see. The wretchedness is subtle as the writers wish it to be!

I don't deal with extramarital but I dig these real good. WJ and HJ makes it cute. HJ seems to have more truthful feeling when she's with WJ unlike others and I hope she really shows that evil MIL her place. SWJ smiles in a more relaxed way with HJ. I really want that their cute family SWJ, HJ and Ho-su and Li-sa (in a way). Haewon misread what WJ said in the ep "Nobody lied" where he said he's uncomfortable with going abroad with HJs money not with her. If WJ is amnesiac, can't she just let go and move on with him, why bring him in front of HJ? She's going to be helping him spring back lost feelings and memories bcus it's obvious SWJ really loves HJ deeply. Haewon is a big fool I swear. I just don't like her and her revenge plot. It takes two to tango. Y forgive one and hate one? It's uncalled for. Every episode makes you want to watch more. If SWJ is really not amnesiac, it may not be revenge, he may just want HJ back and wants her to remember their moments even though I think she never for once forget. Anyway the main reason I'm stuck with this drama is the chemistry of Seo Woo Jae and Hui Ju that is on FIRE!!! They give it hot...

Then at that scene it shows blood splattering at her family portrait painting. IMO it might be assumed that someone in her family maybe end up dying at the later episodes but thrs a possibility that it might be her lover which is SWJ?
