Kim Yoo-Wol (Oh Chang-Suk) became an orphan and he was raised by foster parents. He worked extremely hard and passed his CPA exam. He enjoys happy days with his girlfriend Yoon Si-Wol (Yoon So-Yi), but he has a near-death experience. He changes his life and goes under the alias of Oh Tae-Yang. He is dead to Yoon Si-Wol.

Meanwhile Yoon Si-Wol, who believes her boyfriend Kim Yoo-Wol is dead, has a difficult time. She begins to work at conglomerate company Yangji Group. There, she meets Oh Tae-Yang.

Due to the Chuseok Holiday (Korean Thanksgiving Day), ep. 71 and ep.72 did not air Thursday, September 12th and Friday, September 13th, 2019. Ep. 71 and 72 will air Monday, September 16th and Tuesday, September 17th, 2019.

Jinjoo Oct 29 2022 7:16 pm Just finished/enjoyed every moment and episode of this drama & all the cast & both leads did a great job! I love the chem of Oh Chang Suk and Yoon So-yi! This drama exudes moral values in that Kim Yoo Wo was determined to make his grandpa's business into something that would be worthwhile and beneficial to society unlike when Chairman Jang (his grandpa) started it with greed much less corruption! KYW started from a humble beginning even when he suffered through the years being an orphan and he ended it with a more decent and valuable life that he dreamed of! Loved this drama & its happy ending!

It seems kdramas has this penchant for 'pukseo' (spell) or revenge, I just finished Secret House & I can't help but be reminded of the 2 lawyers whose lives were intertwined with how their position in the family affected their lives and this one is no different! I just can't help but loath Kang Il wang's father and fake grandpa for trying 2nd time to get rid of Kim Yoo wohl gosh they're murderers just bec of their greed! I feel for YSW for sacrificing her love just so she can fulfill her revenge the family did to KYW! It's no different than other kdramas where I find this one very addictive too :) I just hope for a happy ending for both KYW & YSW! Duk sil was never the love of KYW life but that drinking of soju seems to be a dangerous liaison for a lot kdramas I've seen so far! DS should at least took KYW home instead she purposely took him to a motel or hotel I can recall & that night KYW of course being intoxicated saw the face of YSW in DS that's why they got married, otherwise KYW never had any feelings for her! DS mother is also evil just like Cho tae joon switching the two babies! I can't wait to watch the rest!

TW Feb 23 2022 2:27 am Watching this drama for the 2nd time. This time I have really noticed Choi Sung Jai's (Kwang-ill) acting. He should have atleast been nominated for some kind of acting award! He's so natural in acting immature to being devastated of the lies he has been told of his life. He has always loved his wife Si Wol and his son Ji Min. Feeling so betrayed that his wife married him for revenge and to find out that Ji Min is his enemy's son. The 2nd time watching this drama is better for me to understand many aspects that I missed the 1st time!

Nguyen Thanh Tung Apr 06 2020 3:12 am Anyone in favor of Kwang-il? He is a little childish but forced to be mature in such a short period of time, and the plot seemed to be unfair to him. In the end he appears to have a better life afterwards but shouldn't it be more than that? What about his marriage with Yoo-jin? He deserves that after all the chaos. Poor my man.

saranghae Nov 03 2019 11:02 am wow wow big applause for the writer please clap clap clap thank you whoahahaha its been a while since I enjoyed a drama this much all the initial 100 epi were so much worthwhile to watch with no dragging at all and the last 2 epi which were added recently were sort of an epilogue that ended real good for all viewers imo but for me the main culprits of all this mess were the old chairman and his elder daughter he was nothing more than a big thug with lots of dirty tricks under his sleeve and worst of all he knew how to eliminate people that stood in front of him he treated taejoo worst than a servant worst than a peon he stripped him of all his self esteem and pride rendering him as a lower human being and he even told him that even in the after life he will be nothing but a servant to him so don’t expect to achieve nothing in this life with this treatment taejoo started to harbor infinite hatred and vengeance and the idea that some day he will stripped him of all his wealth to make him pay dearly for all his bad deeds done to him

and that opportunity came at the maternity clinic were the switched took place and this whole drama started I mean if the old chairman would’ve treated him decently as any human being nothing of this drama would’ve happened am not trying to forgive taejoo for all the crimes he committed he well deserved to be in jail but the writer wanted to stress that evil things are caused by evil things it wasn’t that taejoo was a devil from the beginning it was just a reaction of what the old chairman was doing to him I was afraid that the old chairman would go unscathed without penitence but no he died with nothing all his wealth was donated to charities which was contrary of

what he wanted but since he was dying he could say over my dead body whohahhahah

on the other hand the daughter ended up unscathed I wanted some punishment for her cz she was partly responsible for what taejoo did by telling him that they would not have any kids of their own that he will only be a husband figure that he will have to raise the kid of his first love as his own and make him the heir of jangili group what sort of woman would do something as low as that and make taejoo self esteem and pride even lower as what it was as a man this in turn fueled more and more his vengeance towards both and when the maternity clinic chance came up he took it in the name of a sweet revenge and the rest is history again 10/10  for the writer and I will miss this drama next week

I didn't expect to find this failed Marxist idea espoused in a Korean drama. South Korea is one of the most affluent countries in the world, but it didn't get there via socialism. It became prosperous due to a free market economy.

Socialism is a terrible idea in theory and horrible in practise. One need only look to history.

You're on edge cos any moment a red-back spider might drop from ceiling and bite you. And the eyes in the dark of the cupboard looking at you intensely are those of a deranged creature that was once a human being—Duk-Shil.

Scott Oct 24 2019 1:05 am It’s time for SW and JI-MIN to move out in the house of JANG.....SW should pursue her dreams of becoming a professor and JM should continue his studies in America. Both of them should abandon KYW as he’s no good to them emotionally. Ji-Min is happy to be with her mother only. KYW as a father to Ji-Min is not there anymore, the affection is gone. I think the kid is beginning to realize that he’s better off with his mom only who loves and adores him immensely. Maybe SW should just hook up with MS. yang nephew...he’s way better looking than KIM-Yol and very successful in life. They’re both divorcée, so why not? SW is not even happy to see KYW...she’s just pretending to smile.

Scott Oct 19 2019 10:15 pm Ha Shi Eun as Duk shil was good for awhile but after so many episodes it gets so boring for the same bullshit she’s trying to portray. Just like food, you start to vomit when you eat too much. Overselling kills business and that’s what she’s doing right now on this drama. She will probably complain later when nobody wants to cast her even though she’s good at her acting. Anything excessive is bound for failures. I am one of them, even if it’s for free I will not waste my time to watch her in drama or films.

Extension can make the drama draggy. I mean, it is draggy enough with the writer keep making Yoowol victimized by Choi Taejoon&son and Im Miran&daughter T_T

saranghae Oct 12 2019 1:47 am wow wow wow finished epi 90 what a way to end the weekend i think the writer wanted to surprise me with this great epi again just when i thought ive seen the best epi in 85 but no no no this is the best epi so far wow i watched it 6 times already and still cant get enough from it for a change there was some justice done here so thats why i feel good relax and ready to enjoy my weekend after all the tensions and frustrations from previous epi i was getting really mad at shiora and didnt understand why she had to go to kneel in front of dokshili and her mom and plead to save yuori but now i understand that this trigger mom to open up and confess how don juan was killed at the hands of the chairman it was cz she had a lot of respect for shiora and yuori and wanted to save them thats why she sent the evidence to shiora wow wow the writer is doing the same thing he did with don juan trying to save dokshilis mom and make her being repentant pay for her sins and seek for forgiveness dokdhilis mom is doing the role of don juan now pleading shiora to make her son and daughter kuangiriya and dokshili to be repentant pay for their sins and seek for forgiveness and live a good life what i get from the writer so far or what he is trying to tell me is that all babies are born completely innocent is society that make them do the evil things that those evil things are the reaction of something wow wow this writer is awesome 10/10 again and forever until the end whoahahahaha

I agree though her stone cold expression might lead to being typecast though.

When Si-Wol approached Duk-Shil to work together and clear Yoo-Wool's name, true to form, Duk-Shil saw the opportunity to take advantage of Si-Wol. Si-Wol's response; "You say he's your husband, then shouldn't you fix it without me asking?"

Si-Wol appealed to Duk-Shil's sense of decency and dignity but, Duk-Shil doesn't have any of that. She's exploited the desperate and vulnerable, one too many times.

saranghae Oct 04 2019 2:04 pm finished 85 wow wow wow just when i thought ive seen the best epi from all the incredible epis so far but no this one has to be the very best there are 15 more epi to go but i doubt ill be seeing anything better than 85 this was an incredible experience for me cuz i made a habit of watching the raw epi before the translated one something that i never done before and here i was crying me a river from something that i couldnt understand a single word then i thought how wonderful incredible awesome this writer is for reeling me up like this without any words just those 2 dramatic voices getting at each other the old chairman and sukiya his not favorite daughter from an adultery adventure but later when i saw the translated version then the dam gates exploded and a torrent of tears spilled down wow wow cuz i could understand every word which hit me deep down sukiya became the real heroine of this drama for choosing loyalty vs gaining something and i think in the end when yuori becomes chairman he will handsomely reward aunties family with 5 or 10 subsidiaries whoahahahahaha i have no more words of appreciation for the writer i said them all 10/10 again and keep up the excellent job

saranghae Sep 28 2019 8:32 am finished 80 wow wow again im soooooooooooo devastated sooooooooooooooo sad this was so unexpected mr juan dont deseved to end like this after all the healing he tried to make to other peoples he did nothing but good deeds why this end then but what most disturbed me is that even if he knew he was gonna end like this at the hands of that person he still wouldve left all that wealth to that person cuz he really loved that person and wanted that person to live in peace and reflect on the enormity of the sin committed and seek for foregiveness he wanted that person to rectify all the wrong things and start a new life if that wealth can help that person to achieve it

saranghaez Sep 19 2019 2:11 am whoahahahahahahahahhahaha just finished 73 and cant stop laughing i asked the writer if he can drop a bomb and make us shake and give us a good time to make up for epi the long delays and so my wish was granted i think this got to be the biggest bomb so far cuz i dont think theres a single viewer that survived this bomb i mean everybody thought that the old chairman was gone i mean history no one not even one thought the old chairman would survive i always talked about the brilliancy of this writer and this is one proof of it he fooled everybody no exception including me the biggest fool of us all cuz i really really thought the old chairman was gone whoahahahahahaha but this time it was a laugher bomb instead of a neutron or incendiary cuz i cant stop laughing thinking how fool i was to fall for this hoax again 10/10 for the writer whoahahahahaha

saranghae Sep 16 2019 12:13 am wow wow what a long brake this was finally its over definetely epi 71 will be broadcast tonite the writer should know that these epi cancellations were really hard on many unprepared fans and should pay us back by twickling the plot a little and drop a huge bomb to make us all shaken and give us a good time whoahahahahaha so far this drama is a kind of unique for me in 70 epi so far i didnt perceived any dragging every single epi counted and had something going on some serious some laughable some sad oh yes some good comedy some stingy very much different from all other dramas that ive haave ever watched i think this writer is magnificent one of a kind i guess i think he writes gently according to what all viewers can perceive if its too negative thats no good for the viewers minds so he tries to keep it very balanced which i think it makes his writing succesful again 10/10 for the writer and keep up the excellent job

saranghae Sep 13 2019 7:11 am sorry my hunch was wrong the epi didnt broadcast due to a preemptive political program it was cuz of chuseok festivities the biggest holidays of the year in korea it is a kind of religious a festivities where the country gets paralized for 3 days so all people can go back to their home towns to honor their dead ancestors something like thanksgiving in the us this year chuseok falls on friday sep 13 and it always start the day before until the day after so yesterday there was no epi probably cuz all the people working at the broadcast network they all went home and today friday there wont be epi broadcast either so dont wait for it and i think they didnt filmed the epi in the day time cuz the actors they all went home too i guess so the filming of epi 71 will be done next monday where broadcast will be resumed normally well a little break wont hurt isnt it whoahahahahaha

saranghae Sep 13 2019 12:16 am wow they did it again epi 71 failed to show up isnt this frustrating this time the epi was scheduled for thu 12 but i guess it was preempted for some political news cuz south korea is going through a huge uproar which is at its peak right now the president is facing a big corruption scandal with another guy and his sacking is imminent having grave consequences for the nation so i guess for koreans this news are more important than the drama but for us that dont know anything about korean politics this drama is more important so here we are innundated with frustration going back to the drama the playing field is getting more and more inclined against the chairman his mistress and kangiriya his initial plot is crumbling by the day and the prospect of the merger getting void looming in the horizon is getting him sleep less nights so he needs to have a big counter attack to level the field and that could be phisically hurting chimney he is capable of anything

But now jerk Choi Tae Joon probably knows that they all know.. he could be scheming something again! I hope Kwangil will do something instead of just following his dad's scheme :(

saranghae Sep 10 2019 7:43 am finished the long awaited epi 68 what a bummer　many people waited in vain for something that will never show up me after waiting for a while i noticed that something was wrong i thought maybe it was preempted for some other event so i went to look for the schedule which fortunately i founded right away just above in the ratings charts there was no space for last friday sep 6 so that was it the epi was not gonna be aired that day i know many many fans were waiting for the epi so i feel sorry for them i just wasted one hour other people might have waited for more than that thats what im saying it was really a f.....g bummer now i have to wait till next tuesday early morning for epi 68 to showed up and it did but i watched the raw epi earlier on monday night to calm down a bit and it was good chiyuki the little kid save my day with his candor and pure hearted warmth when he sensed chimney his big cousin troubles and tried to comfort him with his hakuna matata dont worry everything will be fine and gave him his king gummies that later prooved miraculously when it saved chimney from starvation whoahahahaha i think chiyuki was really the most underrated here he was also really funny and extremely cute doing his face grimaces when eating lots of insects to strenghtened his body so he will become the toughest king of the jungle like his mom told him wow wow that was so cute and his singing of hakuna matata to his grandma was really lovely i just become big fan of chiyuki going back to the plot the decision chimney made of whom he wants to be with will repercute and have grave consequences all the way to the end of the drama and for the extraordinary acting of chiyuki i dont know whom to give the credit is it to the director or the writer or his parents more the mother i guess

saranghae Sep 05 2019 7:31 am finished 66 wow wow totally unexpected a huge incendiary bomb was dropped here whoahaha how many people are gonna get burned i have no clue but this is gonna have grave consequences for lots of people if not all and i understand why dokshili did it its cuz she lost everything in this world and she really dont care for anybody theres a lot of indifference and hatred in her mind but i think this happened too early cuz everything will be uncovered after grandpa wakes up so i bet grandpa will fall into a long coma or suffer amnesia by a stroke so he can get out of the picture until the end leaving the battlefield to yuori vs kangiriya and the chairman i really feel sorry for chimini he is a big collateral casualty here i hope he dont get killed like the baby angel set buel and hope in the end yuori and his long time loyal ex shiori gets reunited and live as a family with chimini and grandma

This show is the bomb literally. They keep dropping bomb after bomb. I’m glued for the duration. Kudos to the writers. Love the drama.

The only thing she has done was to deceive a man who loved her and who had nothing to do with his father bad action. If K II wants to revenge on SW I cannot blame him because he has all the right. What man will be happy to find that he was deceived in that manner in which SW did? If SW wanted her father-in-law to pay the price for his bad doings, now she has to pay for hers too. I'm only sorry for the fact that because of SW, K II has turned from a good guy in a bad guy.

saranghae Aug 05 2019 8:47 am wow im getting so much fun with this drama just finished epi 33 and a bit sad cuz im catching up very fast to the latest epi i hate to watch one epi per day is not fun i like to watch 5 or 6 epi in a row especially when lots of secrets or mysteries are being revealed like in this epi where the writer dropped a huge neutron bomb now i dont know who is who anymore who is doing what who is related to who wow im totally baffled like most viewers i guess i seems i went back to epi zero i dont know nothing but thats great cuz thats what writers are supposed to do keep this thing so unpredictable so viewers will come back to the next epi to find out what happened so far i give the writer 9.5/10 and keep up the excellent job

Si-Wol maintaining the secret hasn't really worked out for her. She runs the risk of losing the child and getting cut-off along with the imposter son she married. I would imagine the longer she keeps the secret, the worse the situation will be for her unless the writer stupidly has the transgressed forgive her.

saranghae Jul 22 2019 6:51 am is this a remake of another kdrama done in 1995 with the same title i was looking for info on this drama and come out with the info of the old drama with a very pleasant surprise cuz bae yong was in there and a lot of good emotions came into my mind cuz in the next year 1996 they made first love which boasts the 2nd highest rating in history of kdrama about 70% and was the ultimate drama for me nothing can come close to first love
