Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki Staff ©
There is Forensic Laboratory No. 9 at the National Research Institute of Police Science. Forensic Laboratory No. 9 is commonly known as No. 9. When victims or culprits of serious crimes die, their brains are placed into a special MRI scanner. The scanner allows an MRI investigation to take place that allows the dead person's memories to be visualized.
Tsuyoshi Maki (Rihito Itagaki) is a founding member of No. 9 and also works as the director of No. 9. He has a unique appearance and possesses an incredible memory and sharp insight. His best friend and colleague Katsuhiro Suzuki (Yuto Nakajima) dies in an incident. Ikkou Aoki (Yuto Nakajima), who looks just like Katsuhiro Suzuki, appears in front of Tsuyoshi Maki. Ikko Aoki is a rookie investigator and is assigned to No. 9. While they struggle to solve difficult cases together, they become irreplaceable buddies.
