In real life, Kwon Yoo (Ji Chang-Wook) is unemployed, but in the virtual game world he is the best leader. Kwon Yoo is then framed for a murder. With the help of hacker Yeo-Wool (Shim Eun-Kyung), he tries to uncover the truth behind the murder case.

Miena Aug 08 2021 1:36 am I just watched this movie, wow it was excellent. So excited at beginning to the end. Unbelievable , Korean movie got high standard equally to Hollywood. I think the mood and the excitement was comparable to Born Identity. Not really like fast & furious in overall because it didn’t highlight only car chasing in the road but it’s only the end scene when the truth disclosed. It’s suspense and cyber movie. Ji Chang Wook was so top of the class, deserved to get best actor award from this movie. But I was wondering why this movie itself didn’t get any award in Korea. Too bad. The scene which JCW got sexual assault in jail, it is too much to accept it but in reality it can happen. Give 10 of 10 this movie.

All I can say is wow and wow. Every character contribute very well thus makes the movie even more interesting. Although the pacing is not stable, slow at first and get too fast in the middle till the end. But it is still amazing! This is my first time writing a comment in AsianWiki, which means it is worth to watch. So I recommend you guys to watch it!

I'd start with positives. Cinematography is top tier. Acting is top tier. Plot, characters. Everything seem to be amazing actually. It's not the best, but everything is pretty solid in this movie. If someone could tell me the whole thing, I'd be super excited to see it, but I've seen it, and here's one very major thing that I didnt like, and wasted the movie for me. Its pacing...

My God. First 20-30 minutes were paced good, slowly enough. But the last hour and a half It was so fast. There were so much! I mean... TOO MUCH. The plot was too big, this movie should've been atleast 160 minutes, but not 120. I dont know what's the deal with everyone trying to put their movie in 2 hours, but it's just unacceptable to put so much in 2 hours. It ruins it. The funny thing is - I remember everything, things were detailed and showed well. But is it exactly what's needed? There were literally no time to rest, no time to think, so half of movie was very fast paced and felt rushed. My God. Why? The only non-rushed part in second half of the movie was when ML came to beat the shit out of the villain in his "office". But even then, the action started to go wild. So much going on. So much characters. I mean, maybe ordinary South Korean watcher brain can comprehend this. And I could see this, I could see everything and understand, it wasnt messy. But I couldnt comprehend it fully. There were no space for thinking, and the movie lost its deepness. It really felt so rushed and I'm very disappointed that 30 minutes before end I became absolutely bored. Nothing felt like a surprise no more, and I became numb to movie, which is a failure. And no matter what would happen, what twist would be, if it is paced this way, it doesnt freaking work. It just doesn't, I was tired, and there were too much. And that really put all other work to waste. They've been working on this movie for 5 months just to end up rushing it to fit in the cinema limits. This is so sad and disappointing. Thus I'm giving a movie 7/10. Just because everything else were so damn good. I'd really wish there were a directors cut where there's normal pacing for the second half of the movie.

dhikris Jan 26 2019 12:15 am A few problems: - Why suddenly kwon yoo good at car repair (when he helped those tourists) and know how to drives car in "fast & furious" level after he escaped from prison car? - Why lawyer min Knows every identities of the team, even their true names but doesn't acknowledge the last two (eun lover) - in the tv station, why teolbi don't know ma was there even though there's large monitor in front of her, she should at least hack the cctv, that then become "damsell in distress" situation

Bonus: why teolbi can be so cute in this movie? XD

I don't know her really, I can't even remember her in Jang Geum drama but she was so good! I wish she'll be casted more on dramas and (action) movies.

Fabricated city is indeed a very good action film with amazing stunt scenes, two hours full of suspens and a lovely teams with a great chemistry. What to say more !! Hoping the film will get a good rate all over the world. Ji Chang Wook carries very well the protagonist role. I appreciate the feelings of loyalty between the whole characters, it is such a missing thing in our modern society.

Reminded me of the movie Inception with all the action and the consideration of the team members putting their lives on the line for one person. Everyone did a great job acting here!! haha I couldn't wait because I've been waiting for like a year to watch this and Eun Kyung unnie and Kim Seul Gi unnie were in it so it's worth it. Hope this did well in Korea!! mostly action and fancy screenwork with emphasis on justice, standing up for the little person without a voice, and what that means to the players in the story.

When the cast was announced I got really curious about this Shim Eun Kuyng and her projects....Now I'm a fan, SHE IS SO TALENTED! I still like you JCW but I've since become more of a Shim Hyung Kuyng fangirl...She also deserves some love in the comments section, why so many her commenting on JCW only and some even putting her down..Suzy or whoever else you'd want casted can't compare to SEK...This girl is very talented!!!! Btw she can sing well too, just lke JCW, has a really nice and unique voice!
