For those wondering, the "Boudoir" brand in the show seems to be a clever mix of two real-life cases.

First, the fraud aspect is clearly inspired by the 2006 Vincent & Co. scandal. Back then, a "phantom" brand claimed to be a century-old Swiss watchmaker favored by European royalty (even Princess Diana!). In reality, the watches were made of cheap parts in Korea and China. They even used a trick called the "import loop" - shipping goods to Switzerland and re-importing them just to get official customs papers to fool VIPs in Cheongdam-dong.

Second, the business model of "Boudoir" mirrors the "resurrection" of one Italian brand acquired by a tech Korean giant.

This big Korean company took a little old Italian leather goods shop and turned it into a "status ID card" for the elite by opening flagship stores in the most expensive parts of Gangnam and using heavy K-drama placements. I do not want to name the brand but you can google the most expensive Korean bag brand and you will easily fing it. Omg! Such a great drama! SHS never disappoints!!! ❤️

Jane Doe Mar 07 2026 3:40 am I first of all don't understand the concept of owning or obsessing on luxury brands. Especially handbags. Maybe it's part of high society fashion, but personally for me a bag is a convenient place where I keep few stuff when I go out of my house. So I never understood most part of this drama that was fueled on a consumer's need to own a luxury bag. But as an entrepreneur, Sarah Kim's approach was very interesting. The countless people she conned and used was ridiculous. She basically makes use of behavioral science. That part is what kept me hooked into this drama till the very end. The detective was playing, boring and lacked facial expressions and reactions. Maybe some other actor would've done a better job. It was hard to follow the investigation when he was delivering it with monotone.

Look when it comes to Korean actress my no 1 are either shin hae sun or park min young, cant choose between them but i can say I like shin hae sun more she is just that cute, and I usually don't complain about her drama even if I don't like it, and I'm not really complaining about this drama only tho, like I said your thriller lately lack 1 thing, satisfication, I only feel that in the glory, the ending of others seems like lack something, seems rushed, didn't bring satisfication, but hey it's thriller genre, still love shin hae sun in this tho, Is just get a better writer or producer or whatever it is

Cheryl Feb 22 2026 7:16 pm I enjoyed this drama. The pacing was good and the story was intriguing. The end, however was a bit lackluster and I can't help but wonder if it had more episodes it could have had better character and plot development, while also building some tension to the final story reveal. Most of the series was going back in time and showing Sarah Kim's life and the different experiences that got her to the present moment. Her story was captivating but gave little time for Lee Jun-Hyuk's character to have much of a story and he felt very much like a side character and not a lead, leaving him a bit one dimensional. His side kick, Shin Hyun-Seung seemed like he had an interesting back story and was charismatic but little was done with him, It always seems like wasted talent to me, to have such a great cast and do so little with them. It could have been a much more interesting story, imo, and while I did enjoy it and would recommend it, I believe it had potential to be better.

The police can simply check who still has a pair of kidney and who is lacking one. Or police can ask the suspect to sew a bag. The cellulitis on the hands are also another evidence. So the ending doesn't make sense to me. Must be a plot hole. Nevertheless a good drama to watch for sure.
