Soo-Hyeok (Jung Woo-Sung) is released from prison after 10 years. He learns of his daughter’s existence that he didn’t know he had. Soo-Hyeok now wants to live peacefully and have an ordinary life, but people, who target him, won’t leave him alone.

AC Aug 09 2025 2:33 am Actually for those who follows the movie close enough, Kim Nam Gil's role is not a villain. He is actually just a pawn used by the bigger guys in the movie. Woojin had trauma when he was younger and therefore is challenged in some ways from emotions, maturity and logic. As an orphan at a young age, Jina took him in and cares for him like a little brother even though he is older than her. There was also supposed to be a bigger picture with depth to Woojin and Nina's characters but it was edited out to give more focus and screen time to the main character.

And yes, many critics in fact praised Kim Nam Gil's performance for giving a fresh yet memorable one on the movie. And I do agree with that too, as the lines and scenes were rather dull and monotonous whenever the main character played by Jung woosung took over. The whole story was kinda draggy.

ewr Nov 20 2023 1:41 am This movie lacks uniqueness, featuring extensive dialogue at the start and a straightforward storyline. Kim Nam Gil's performance, particularly in portraying a villain, is notably weak. It would have been more fitting for him to continue playing roles like a priest, similar to his character in "The Fiery Priest." This potential was somewhat wasted by assigning him a different character in this film.
