Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki Staff ©
Azusa (Haru Kuroki) works as a wedding planner. One day, she receives the unexpected news that her best friend Kanau (Sawako Fujima) has died. Azusa can’t get over her best friend's death and she isn’t able to proceed with her own marriage with her boyfriend Sumito (Aoi Nakamura). Azusa continues to send text messages to Kanau. Around this time, Kanau’s parents Tomoko (Naomi Nishida) and Yusaku (Tomorowo Taguchi) receive a card addressed to their deceased daughter from an orphanage. Meanwhile, while Azusa is working on preparing her client's wedding anniversary, she suddenly remembers her middle school days with Kanau. She sends a text message to Kanau telling her that she can't move forward without her. At that moment, all the messages that were sent to Kanau, but were never meant to be read, are marked as read.
