Su Yan entered the prestigious Shandong College of Arts in 1993 to study<br />
performance under the school of drama and was immediately recruited by<br />
the Kongzheng Drama Troupe upon graduation. She made her film debut as<br />
a nurse in Zhang Yimou's To Live and had performed in over thirty TV series<br />
between 1997 and 2004. Her recent performance in Chen Guoxing's<br />
Chen Yun earned her a Best Newcomer nomination at the 2005 Huabiao<br />
Film Awards.<br />
