His obsession to do something for others leads him to create a hero, but others see him as a suspicious individual and he is backed into a corner. Around the same time, a clumsy bunch of people, Kawakami, Sagawa's colleague, Ohki, a new recruit, Nitta, his client and obsessive complainer, Tahara, who was dating Sagawa's friend, and Masaru, his brother, begin to rely on other 'humans' to escape their own loneliness and suffering.
