# During the 11t Pusan Promotion Plan (which runs during the Pusan Int. Film Festival), "A Brand New Life" picked up the $10,000 OKF Fund award, which is presented by the Overseas Korean Foundation to fund a project from a Korean living overseas.
# Director Ounie Lecomte was born in South Korea but adopted as child by French parents. This movie is based partially on her experiences.
