She held her first photography exhibit "Moonlight Serenade" at the [[Shibuya]] Parco Gallery in 1989. In 1993 she began a serial film column in Japan's "Nikkan Gendai" magazine. She then went on to photograph some of the most popular actors including Robert de Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Hoffman. Amiy Mori's work has also been featured in such publications as Cosmopolitan and Elle Japon. Beyond photography, Amiy Mori is also a full-service media producer who conceives, plans, writes, and photographs special feature projects for publication in major magazines. She has collaborated with embassies, tourist bureaus, and corporations on such projects, and is also active internationally as a writer, lecturer, and commercial photographer.
