No other dramas compare to his artistry. Every scene in every one of his dramas is like a painting, a poem. Plus they are wholesome. I don't care if that seems old-fashioned to some - I Like old-fashioned stories. They touch my heart far more than the dark and gloomy stories they are coming out with today that have little redeeming value. Director Yoon's dramas are masterpieces and began the Hallyu Wave worldwide. I don't really consider anyone a true K-drama fan unless they have watched them. And the OSTs on all of them are the Best ever. I hope he comes out of retirement to make at least one more drama. It's been so long since Love Rain! :) We desperately need that gentle romantic sensitivity in Korean dramas again today. Liliane Trentin Dec 22 2023 2:29 pm Hello! I live in Canada, Montreal, Quebec. I started watching Korean movies and TV series 2 years ago and became addicted. I came acrosss Winter Sonata and the actor Bae Yong-joon really took possession of my heart. I was sorry to read that he is no longer acting. This story of Winter Sonata, I have watched it more than 5 times, it is a wonderful story with the music and songs that fit with the scenario. I just wanted to thank you for this story that really moved me. Kathy Jun 02 2013 2:43 am Director, you have done an excellent job on Love Rain. Most people like instant noodles. But this drama tore me down, prompts me to think deeply. All the characters are very extreme and exaggerated in their acting. But yet, that is what drama is about. So that the audience in 10 years down the road, will still remember this drama & the message it transpires: Choose your marriage partner carefully, once and for all. OR else kids will suffer for the rest of their life.
