No Whi-Oh (Jung Woo) works as a detective. He thinks that he has a pretty decent life. One day, an incident takes place. This causes No Whi-Oh's life to change. He becomes a crazy guy, unable to control his anger and he gets angry at everything. He tries to return to former self, but, during this time, he gets involved with another crazy person, Lee Min-Kyung (Oh Yeon-Seo). She has a sophisticated appearance and a fine job, but something happens to her. Her ordinary life collapses and she doesn't trust anyone anymore. She has delusions and is compulsive. No Whi-Oh and Lee Min-Kyung become attracted to each other.

Romance, chemistry build up, silly characters, community values, and character flaws addressed the way they should be.

Only 2 complaints. 1. They should have explored Su-Hyun and Samantha as a couple or rather the male aspect. 2. Towards the end, Oh Yeon-Seo broke and we didnt get to see the consequences of her actions in the long run, only short run. That almost ruined towards the end

Karin Oct 14 2021 2:25 pm 9.5/10 ? Such a beautiful one-of-a-kind drama. Hits super close to home. Jung Woo and Oh Yeon-seo’s performance really drive strong emotions. One minute you are moved to tears, the next minute you’re laughing from the quirky comedy. I can’t praise this drama enough. Highly, highly recommended, especially if you like Silver Linings Playbook (somewhat similar).

This show hit so close to our daily life, our struggles and demons as normal human being. Lot of social stigma against mental health which really needs to be address in our eastern society. I wish more drama tell such stories.

Funny how when I watch a drama wo any expectations & it exceed my expectations!! Would love the lead couple in another drama!

Omg Aug 18 2021 2:52 am This drama is such a breath of fresh air, its one of the great drama i watch this year, its such a shame its only 13 eps. The leads chemistry was great as well. The story tho is one of the best writting in terms of dramas. Its not like girl meet boy, develop, fall in love etc. There are lots of issues thats brought up, and i really enjoyed it. Kinda like thats okay that love but this one is light and humorous way. This is one of the best kdrama this year.

This story of triumph of good over bad is so healing and uplifting to watch. The characters are brilliant ♥

Florence D'Souza Jul 20 2021 12:38 am Jong Woo is an actor par excellence! His comic timing is perfect. He has not crossed the line between comic and buffoonery. Every word spoken, every emotion emoted is worth seeing innumerable times. He wears his character on his sleeve and from the word 'go' you know him like, forever. He has elevated so many scenes to a level that is extraordinary. At times, he made me laugh uncontrollably and at most times he tugged at my heart. What a seamless, effortless actor with an abundance of talent. Of course Yeo Seon, added to the drama with her soulful eyes and brilliant acting. The urge was to protect her.

The 3women from the association showcased how effective, nosy, relevant and real they were. They added to the drama including each and every actor. So many mindsets that we have, were treated with dignity and information. The flasher dancing in all his glory was enjoyable.

cmcross Jul 06 2021 3:47 am I enjoyed this K-drama. Loved the actors and the overall premise as well. Unfortunately, they really messed it up pretty bad in the last 2 episodes. It almost seemed like they found out that they were being canceled and decided to plug 21 episodes worth of drama into the last 2 episodes. Spoiler Alert-The main male character in this series probably should have spent some time in jail. Also, after the last 2 episodes he should the writers made it clear that he's not fit to be a police officer anymore. He has legitimate anger issues and is too much of a danger to people around him to be in a position with as much authority over people as cops have in general. However, they did succeed if they were trying to make the case that when you have issues they don't just magically go away when you're happy or get in a relationship. Those issues will likely always be a factor and will need to constantly be worked on to improve. I'm glad I watched this and glad they tried taking some stigma off of therapy and cross-dressing. Not sure how successful it was in those fronts but it was nice seeing the attempt. -3.5/5

I’ve watched it several times already and recognize what initially appears to be a “nice” drama is actually a “sleeper” in that there is so much there that emerges. The script actually, artfully & authentically deals with subjects rarely handled in such a nuanced human way: partner assault/bullying/survivor recovery/anger management/love. Defining someone by their personal presentation aka symptoms to the world through a cliche lens just won’t due in this drama. More human characters you won’t easily find elsewhere. The placement & actualization of side splitting humor is the art of the writer, director & cast….All of Them…this is an A Team cast! Don’t miss this one…savor the experience & you will be rewarded! Thanks To The Entire Production Team. Yup! Loved it.

Sarah Jul 02 2021 9:03 pm Such a lovely drama. I'm sad it was so short! Although I'm so impressed at how invested they made me in the characters in that time. It was also one of the most real feeling romances I've seen in ages, possibly ever in a kdrama. There are melodramatic elements, sure - how could there not be?! - but at its heart it just felt like watching two real people falling in love in real time and as actual adults! It's still very chaste but I found the way they dealt with the physical aspects of the relationship really refreshing for a kdrama. Nothing shocking but again, real. I'd love them to do a follow-up. Thirteen episodes wasn't enough! I could hang out with these two for much, much longer yet!

Rawan Jul 02 2021 5:34 am This was such a nice, simple and lovely drama. It dealt with a lot of controversial issues like: violence, drugs, domestic abuse and mental illness. I thoroughly enjoyed the portrayal of the female character. She kind of started off as very silly and over-dramatised, but throughout the course of the drama she really evolved into her own strong character.

The male lead was mildly entertaining with his anger management issues but I hated how many times it took for him to believe the female lead about the issues she was having. Like he knew all that she went through with her ex, and the violence and the paranoia, but didn't believe her when she's been right about every single thing? A woman's intuition is always right, that's what he should've learnt.

Anyways it was a good watch, not too lengthy, entertaining enough. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. There's some lessons to learn from watching this.

The director Lee Tae-Gon just trusted the intelligence of the viewer and allowed the excellent acting between Jung Woo and Oh Yeon-Seo to drive the story along. The plot didn't have much to be explained - you just got so wrapped up in the characters - you couldn't help but cheer them along the roller coaster and hope they solve their problems. Even near the end when Big Dog was lying with Little Dog - hoping - so cute,

It's the first time for me watching Jung Woo and his acting was excellent and I will check out the drama he suggests. His acting was so relatable that I felt like I was watching a friend instead of a character. Especially when he's talking to the dog at the end. I hope for a season 2 as both these mains and their cast are more than able to pull it off.

This is partly a reflection of the shows streaming format, but also because the dialog is better written and more relatable than in many other k-dramas. For years it seemed like the male characters in k-dramas never had enough to say. The real reason to watch this drama, however, is Jung Woo. If you don't know him, check-out his earlier work, especially his performance in the film Best Friend. Jung Woo is the real deal -- he can be hilarious as we saw fighting with an umbrella or rushing to take a dump, but he also gives you an emotional honesty here -- we feel his humiliation, his anguish, his guilt, but we also feel the joy he finds in simple things, and in his yearning for the woman who lives next door. Jung Woo’s humble demeanor makes it easy to identify with his characters. No drama is perfect; the last episode is rushed and probably should have been stretched to 60 minutes. But overall Mad For Each Other is well written and acted, which makes for engaging television. The best k-drama of 2021 so far.

I mean really, just too much, made it really not pleasant.  And overacting by the 2 leads, it was like a bad puppet show for kids, too much slapstick. Not for me i guess.

Memez Jun 08 2021 2:04 pm Love this drama. The comedy makes bust out laughing, the story makes me reflect and think about people and their actions, and Min Kyeong's story specifically is to stand up for your right and stop running away from things.

The actors' chemistry is amazing. I have watched Yeon Seo in the Korean Odyssey, but its my first time watching Jung Woo. He is amazing and I love his character Whi Oh.

I also think that the set design was beautiful and well made. Fits my aesthetic preference.

panda Jun 04 2021 5:20 pm i like the set up, great dialogue and comedy. the male lead is also very entertaining and likeable. the female lead on the other hand, while just as entertaining, is pretty irritating, even after her trauma is revealed. i'm willing to see how she develops though.

avenger Jun 02 2021 12:33 am feel so bad for him, he is already not well, but always trying to do the right thing, yet these neighbourhood women keep hounding him. the worst culprit is the crazy _unt lee in kyung, probably not p.c. to say that he should have slammed her into the concrete after she assaulted him and damaged his car through no fault of his doing. he should have at least make sure she get a crimianl record.

Absolutely loving it and LOL at the lift scene with the psychotic umbrella episode and the toilet humour which you don't see on UK TV. Can't wait to see Ep. 5 and how this pans out. Only wish the episodes were longer than 30 mins. Thumbs up to the writers and cast.... Hilarious and quirky! ? ?
