Even though Oh Bom (Song Ji-Eun) is in a difficult financial situation, she is still bright and positive. She works part-time work at a factory. Kang Ma-Roo (Lee Jae-Joon) is a kind and simple young man. He is naive about the world.

An Tae-Ho (Kim Min-Soo) is the section chief of a company. He is an ambitious man. He approaches Choi A-Ran (Seo Yi-An) for his own gain and marries her.

Choi A-Ran is the heiress of a large company. She is smart, but has a painful past. Her younger sister went missing and her parents abandoned her.

Park Min Feb 04 2023 11:12 pm The drama had an awful love square going on, all four were a bunch of children. They literally behave, act and throw tantrums like children. Nonetheless, it's a badly written drama and the stupidity is overwhelming. It's unbelievable how stupid every single character. What's even worse than all of that is both male leads. Both can't act, pure cringe, weakest part of the cast and the worst characters in the drama.

A Drama Review Feb 09 2022 2:29 am This is a super-bad (Rotten Tomato) drama, eg has the dumbest protaganists-victims like Gook Hee, Jung Gi, Oh Bom and Ma Roo. I gave up watching fully after Ep 13 and skipped the rest, eg only watched a bit of Ep 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, ... 100 and so on. So, there is the usual car accident-coma plot with Ah Ran, liver cancer-death plot with Gook Hee near the end and an unrealistic happy reconciliation ending. They should stop making longish dramas of >16 1-hr episodes.

IRL, good-doers should avoid or cut-off evil-doing toxic people from their lives, even if they are adult family members or relatives, ie not let them "poison" or stress-out their lives repeatedly, as depicted dumbly for >120 half-hour episodes in this drama.

saranghae May 13 2019 1:00 pm just started this drama finished epi 30 this is a typical kbs1 drama and as expected i like it i had watched all the dramas that preceded this one probably 15 to 20 they were all huge successes all of them were rated 1st at each epi and i liked them very much all of them with no exception i cant believe why those dramas are so good i havent seen any flop yet so i trust this is gonna be good too like in all dramas the lead female is always of good nature lovable and always get picked on by the wicked wenches that make them suffer like hell but in the end they always come on top

No one in their right mind will take a useless cheating ex husband after 20 years, and who will open their door to let an overbearing mother-in-law inside her house just to order her around.

So good for a whole bunch of irritance, stupidity and not-so-sympathatic moments i had pretty great time laughing off to this drama upon watching it on tv. This was a kind of drama where vile people would have ways for almost every cunning deeds up their sleeves which would turn the lives of its protagonists upside down and by the end of this drama, it all seemed as if all the heartaches and misery were paid off and worth the struggles lolz

A mother-in-law could do anything to her daughter-in-law, a step-mother could do anything to her step-daughter, a rich girl could do anything to a poor girl and get away with it. Seen them all before but still... That's the whole story and someone with truth is always one step behind or something happens to stop them from exposing or knowing the truth. How did a person become a CEO when she is so stupid and so unaware of everything ? Is kneeling answer to everything in kdrama? Just once, I wish I don't have to see kneeling in a kdrama, just once Even when the truth has been exposed, finally, it's done so unsatisfying, I just want to turn it off. So, why am I not doing that? Already wasted 53 X 30 minutes, why not go all the way!

All the "leading" men are dull and acts like psychopaths and just plain yucky. Male leads are either dumb or manipulative, same goes for the female leads. All the characters are one-dimensional. No depth what-so-ever on any of the characters. This is the exact type of K drams that viewers will go "Why that little **tch!" as they are watching, which is exactly what they are looking for! Highly recommended if you need to not think while watching Kdrama.

Flame+Ice Apr 04 2016 6:26 am Just watching another episode of this drama,I think both Aran and Jenny are evil people likes destroy other people's life.So the story goes Jenny visit to Oh Bom's house where her stepmother lives but mistaking Oh Bom's stepmother is Maru's mom.So Jenny suddenly call the stepmom ''Mother'' but that won't do a trick on Midal because Midal knows what Jenny's purposes to visit so that she will go on date with Maru and she grabs Maru's arm but then Oh Bom arrive and give her wedding inventation to Jenny.Jenny storms out of Oh Bom's stepmom shop and called the wedding hall saying to cancel the wedding and self proclaim herself ''Oh Bom''.I wish Oh Bom is brave enough telling Jenny that get the hell out of my life and stay away from Maru cause Maru is mine.I already skip some of episodes of this drama due studies,family gathering and I rather listening some musics than watching this drama again.It's not worth watching anyway.

Not sure how characters in their positions could fall for such blatant lies. This is like a car accident...you know you shouldn't stare, but hard not to see how bad it is.

That's so rude to kiss someone else boyfriend on the cheek. I wonder what were they thinking when they add in new character try to ruin Bom and Maru's relationship. I hope the girl named Jenny will fall in love with Taeho than Maru cause it is more interesting to have battle against with Aran to fight over Taeho. I'm sick of Aran keep bullying Bom and let Bom and Maru happily married together in the story.

I would like to see that the character Kim Eul-Nyeon get a good smack for butting in but I guess in the Korean culture a mother-in-law has a greater say so than here in the US especially from the point of view of a strong daughter-in law. A stronger woman would have told her mother-in-law to back off and get out. Interesting concept of Korean culture if it is correctly portrayed but since I have no knowledge of the the finer points of this culture I'm only guessing. There is no way I personally would have taken that type of treatment from any of the in laws. Just wish Bom would just tell her biological mother her findings on how and who abandoned her so long ago. Get to the point already! And Aran needs to be B-slapped.

Bom is just stupid as ever, always getting flung around and not doing anything about it. Paran is just psycho and some how she's getting away with all these crimes including murder. Taeho also hopped on the psycho train and doesn't seem to be coming back anytime soon. The ex-husband's family ESPECIALLY THE GRANDMA makes me want to punch them out. Thinking about watching this drama? Don't even bother.

Writers please almost all korean dramas make nice pitiful women character so not believable or realistic as in real life there had to be some fighting back that is why most true story shows do good. I think it will be more exciting to watch. As to Taeho, he was pledging his love to Ahran and now wants Bom. He is not nice either when he transferred Taejo to Administration. I like this drama and will like more if Bom will stand up yo Ahran.

Faye Jan 26 2016 2:25 pm First of all, I really like the show only if they throw out the aunty and uncle they are so annoying. Their acting is so awful. They seem like idiots who act like children instead of adults. Secondly, the poor Bom is being abused both ways by her real family and her selfish money hunger step mother. What can a girl do but run away. Kang Maru is weak and lost can't do anything but always being stupid. Taeho on the other hand is now crazy over Bom due to him being mentally abused by Aran. What guy wants a hellish girlfriend who always looks down on just everybody including Taeho. No wonder he like Bom because eventho' Bom does not show her feelings now, but Taeho really feel love when he's with Bom. For me, I hope Taeho ends up with Bom. I feel many good feelings with them. But, on the other hand, we will never know. An that is Soap Opera for you.

As she has to share the stage with Jun Hyoseong, in Secret, she and all of the other girls need to be as fit as can be. Idol groups are all under strict regulations and are under public scrutiny all of the time. Every one of those singer/dancer/idols is as fit as a fiddle.

sophiagarcia Dec 24 2015 2:48 am i watch this regularly but lately, it has gotten to be on the boring side. highly commendable is the mother-in-law, kim yong rim, who really is so good and effective an actress. no one will want her for a mother-in-law. and the actor, kim yu seok also should have been a stand out if given more exposure. he is expressive. the lead actress looks too young but has lots of potentials. i wonder if she is on the chubby side? hope they will not drag the drama too long.

For me Lee Jae-Joon is annoying. Bad writing by writers. He brings nothing. Why poor guy with nothing deserve love? He should be thrown out. May be that angry rich sister can marry him.

Btw, Tae-Ho is good too, but the lead character Maru really need to attend acting workshop, he acts very very awkward. And I can't believe this drama is aired by KBS. I am pissed. -_-
