Lee Jeong-In (Han Ji-Min) decides to prioritize happiness in her life. She works as a librarian. Her longtime boyfriend is Kwon Gi-Seok (Kim Joon-Han). He has impressive credentials like a good job as a department head at a bank, wealthy family, handsome and smart. Lee Jeong-In meets Yu Ji-Ho (Jung Hae-In). He is a pharmacist and a single dad. They fall in love.

UGH move on like have some self respect. I cringed watching this! I will say why: 1) I watched the whole thing long ago and wondered why I didn't rewatch it, like I do many others. So I gave it a try after reading some of the comments here; comments of people loving it even if it moves slowly. After 4 episodes I jumped to 15. I am posting this, and then I will take it off my list (netflix) and I am going back to Never Give up for the 5th time. 2) The mother asks her why she sounds so down. I have been asking the same thing. If I were a pharmacist I would have wondered if she has clinical depression. Something. 3) The pharmacy clerk tells him he is finally human after getting drunk. French people said that in a French conversation club I was in. They think alcohol makes you tell the truth. How pathetic is that. The only time you seem human is when your brain is impaired with toxic residue the liver can't mediate? Many med students cannot develop with social skills in their training years because of the grueling schedule. The pharmacist seems super immature in that regard. 4) The girl has no flashbacks. (This comment to the writer. You could have added some layers.) Therefore I get no sympathy for her disgruntled looks of depression or disdain, I can't decide which is driving her lack of affect. Maybe she had a head injury and has cranial nerve damage. For some reason when the pharmacist crushed on her she was impaired so his likely response to her was to help her, but he was so insecure that beyond that there was no medical analysis. Her fiance had more insight, buying her vitamins at the very least, even though he was largely unlikeable and I could see no reason for her to like either of them. 5) Finally, I was trying to figure out why others loved this drama. It shows how life can be slow. It can be boring. It can be like a country western song; "You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille" which I heard every weekend from the live band, in the bar in North Branch, Minnesota where I watched people get drunk and therefore feel human like the Koreans who drink to bond. Maybe cultures that are stoic have to have an excuse like drunkenness to actually hug each other. It is odd to me but I have noticed it for years. (Before K drama I watched Turk drama. One had drinking in every episode. Then the writer got charged with vehicular manslaughter after he killed someone driving drunk, having first asked a friend to take the fall, then felt so ashamed and then his shrink got him to confess. Then I switched to Korean writers and found they had a similar affection to have people bond over alcohol. It is sad.)

  I was rooting for this couple because I have a friend who was a librarian and she never got married. But she laughed a lot. She finds things delightful, fun, funny, engaging, and insightful; none of which the writer could bring to this character for some reason. I think D3 and B12 might help our main characters and the writer. Pfighting!!

Zzzz Oct 17 2022 1:28 pm The number of times I've watched this is unhealthy. ? What sets this apart from your usual kdrama is how realistic it all feels, from the story, to the acting, to the long, lingering shots and scenes. There are no chaebol CEOs here, just ordinary, working-class characters. No suspension of disbelief needed as every character is relatable and every issue is real and raw. No slow mo, shot-from-several-angles kiss scenes. No flashbacks. This is as real as a kdrama can get, and I love it!

Jiho and Jeongin are couple goals. There's no beating around the bush for these two when it comes to letting each other know how they feel. What a welcome change from other kdramas where the couple hides their feelings or just gets together in ep10, lol.

If you want a matured love story with a realistic feel, and appreciate great acting from the whole cast, One Spring Night is for you.

I love Han ji min but their connection built the way Jung Hae jin took his part. I love the scene .. Han ji min always have a strong character in her movie.. I watched Our blues even she was not the lead actor but that serial become alive cos her character.. Question is ,is it true foe Korean people it it negative stigma for single parent ,and curse as they only entangled with same league

The cast is just brilliant, the OST amazing, the performances to perfection, chemistry between the leads could not be more perfect, etc.. A lovely lovestory, realistic and performed in a very natural way. The cast gave a great performance but the leads, so beautiful and sweet, they both nailed it! Highly recommend to watch this drama, so ignore all the negative comments!!!

A sublime lovestory, amazing OST, great performances of all the cast, a realistic story and natural acting!! What more i can add to this, it is just perfect to me!! The lead actors, wow what a chemistry, a perfect match for this drama and such strong acting skills both of them! They are my fav actors and seeing them both in the lead, made my day! Jung Hae In, sexy, sweet, versatile, great looks, a great actor and my one of my fav. Han Ji Min, a beautiful actress with great acting skills, sweet and lovely face, i just love her! Bravo to all of them! This drama is so perfect and so well performed. If you have it on your list, please watch it!!!

The dialogues were even real that any person will say what the character feels. In terms of acting han ji min did her part well. In this story their age wasn't a matter because it's their feelings for each other that counts. The only difference that some people were looking for is the comedy side that something in the rain has. But one spring night is far from that story.

soom Jun 29 2022 6:36 pm Seriously this became sooooo tedious, and I can't believe their frank sister didn't advise the other two sisters to 'just kick him in the **ts!' more than once. Some may argue that this is realistic in terms of relationships in Korea; if that's true that's some twisted system. Filmed in 2019 but could've been written in the 70s or 80s/ in terms of f-ed up toxic patriarchy. Writer also wrote Mr Sunshine and Goblin?? Hard to believe that. She must've really needed some quick cash to churn out this drivel. Deserved no more than 8-10 episodes. It got downright painful by ep 12... Sadly, hanging on to the bitter end I thought there would be some growth happening by then, but ...NOT. Only thing good about it was male lead, his family and the OST. Glad Son Ye Jin turned it down! wise move.

Queenie Jun 09 2022 5:50 pm So I like Jung Hae in and have seen other dramas on Netflix that he is in. In this drama I don’t feel the attraction between him and Han ha min. I haven’t seen her in much, and I don’t think this drama did her any good. I don’t knowwho picks out her clothes in this but she could swim in all the clothing g she wore. So frumpy! She is too little to where long skirts and coats and not a lot of matching accessory’s either. This also made it hard to believe the attraction between the two main characters. He’s not and she wasn’t.

It gets kind of tedious and I've never seen so much eating and drinking in a program. I really love the actors in this show but the plot doesn't seem to thicken. I've watched seven episodes and they are still dragging our feet. They just can't seem to make up their minds

Lauren Feb 08 2022 9:55 am I’ve seen that a lot of people in the comments section didn’t really like the drama, I could understand why since this type of drama is not for everyone and is not the usual one either. Slow paced dramas are really hard to like if you are not used to them. One spring night is a good example of mature relationships in kdramas. One can argue that the first few episodes can be dragging and the first ost is repeated too much in the first half but overall it is very realistic and tackles social issues very well. I have to admit that I like this one better than something in the rain everything is just free flowing and the characters aren’t forced too much out of their humanity unlike son ye jin’s mom in SITR. SITR disappointed me in the second half, after watching it I immediately watched one spring night and found this drama more to my liking. Han ji min and jung hae in were great in this drama, very flawed characters that are exactly like real people. Out of all the slow paced slice of life dramas that I have watched this one is probably the one with the slowest turn of events but at the same time the most realistic.

A realistic portrayal of a relationship that’s reached its natural end. Lee Jeong-In’s father and long-time boyfriend are both complete control freaks. They belong to the same school of obnoxious “creeps” as the mother in SITR.

I find that It's so realistic and so relatable. i've watched and binged on lots of kdramas..but none left so deep emotion in me (drunk or sober!.. lol) love everything about this drama. Heart flustered every episodes. And to be honest, I couldn't even finish watching SITR (cos of the ost! Ha!...) but this one.. the OST, the actors, the plot.. really hit the spot! love every bits of this drama. I enjoy and appreciate every moment of it.. wish they have more dramas just like this.. ?

e Nov 17 2021 1:40 pm Many compare it to SITR for obvious reasons, but somehow I like this drama more. I think it just might be more suited in more mature audience, since it deals with lots of real life drama. Ending relationship that just burned out, parents expectations x children's wishes, demanding father, single parenting refreshingly on the ml side, divorce, domestic violence, unexpected pregnancy, possessive bf/ex, and many other aspects. I only felt the youngest sister storyline was little underdeveloped.

ad Oct 26 2021 8:15 pm Another underrated series! I could see why people would rate this low because it is not your typical drama. This series is as real as it gets. Some won't appreciate the full story because it seemed slow but that's just how relationships are. Everything just felt real and emotional and I couldn't help reminisce my past experiences that are very similar to this.

Just watch a few episodes and see if it's for you. Tends to be in the mature side of things and people who could relate to the story will appreciate it more like I did. This series goes to my top 5 list. 98/100

Olly Sep 14 2021 8:38 am Jung Hae In just didn’t shine in this drama like he did in Something in 5he Rain. I feel his heart wasn’t in it as it was with Son Ye Jin. He put on a show but it wasn’t realistic. Even with the same director and many same cast his soul wasn’t on view for the audience, like in SITR where he was stripped bare and you saw right into his heart. Han Ji MIn tried her best. The director should pair Jung Hae In and Son Ye Ji n again, I’m sure a story could be found for them, they are only 6 years apart and bring the screen to light. Even the mother acting a kind mother this time wasn’t as good. OSN music lacking.

I feel like some people don't understand this idea of this story because they're from western countries, where these types of social pressures/problems aren't so big, but are huge problems in eastern countries and much of the developing parts of the world or families from such parts.

I want more of these types of dramas, they help me reflect and understand our society, the world. ❤

April Aug 19 2021 9:03 am I love the OST but it ruined some of the scenes.. Almost same song is played from episode 1-9, and keep repeating it was annoying lol. Also the breakup omg ang tagal kaloka! But I love the story especially Hae in! 7/10 enjoyed it. Still, SITR is much better than this.

Can’t imagine there’s a korean drama with english songs.. Really love the voice of Rachel Yamagata, super accurate especially when it’s raining..

Mean Jul 22 2021 7:08 pm I stay throughout the episodes because of Hae-in. I do love hos character more in SITR. He has stronger personality there and the story line just make sense to me. In this drama, he is a sensitive guy that easily snap when it comes to his son. I believe that I like SITR more because that drama portrays a dream boyfriend that may not exist in real world. I just comforting watching that compared to this.

Han Ji Min is very beautiful here, and i love her strong yet delicate character. we should find our own happiness, and follow your heart. Nothing more true than that. it's not typically chaebol-poor girl story. LOVE THIS DRAMA.

TA May 05 2021 9:27 am I love more this drama when I finished second time. I watched first time in 2019 and I missed something what the drama want to show. Eventhough knowing the story, the way they act, talk, think and solve the problems are really natural. Every character is alive in real world. Love between main couple, sisters, friends, mom and dad makes me smile, cry and love. The way of showing is also great. OST are matched with the feeling and flow of the drama. Every moment, expression and the way of talking is also lovely.

As to some complaining about the same songs playing over and over through the drama, I guess you've never had a "song" that you considered your "relationship" song. I fell in love with someone and for various reasons we had to breakup. While I was sitting on an airplane waiting to leave forever, one song kept running over and over in my head, "Without You," by Nilsson. To this day, forty years later, I still hear that song in my mind whenever I think of my lost love.

Roryki Feb 14 2021 10:31 pm TBH, I realized after watching this that if I have watched this before — when I know less of being in a relationship, I would think this is really full of crap & unrealistic events —- would eventually stop watching without reaching even 3 episode. But Bruuh it hits you so much. Though I’ve never really experienced the same situation. You Will Understand why they did that and these and get mad here and there. I love how they portrayed this kind of issues in teal life.

One thing is knowing how things in life and in relationship should go another thing is reality and being overwhelmed by your own feelings and not seeing clearly and with sense what is the right thing to do be it in a certain situation or overall.

But in this one , the female lead was a bit annoying and I found my self skipping a lot of parts . Maybe it’s just me cause I see most of people in the comments really enjoying this , but it’s definitely not my favorite.

If you love slow pacing drama this is for you. If you love four songs that are repeated throughout the drama, then you will have no problem finishing this. It's perfect when you watch it at dawn, in the morning, in the afternoon, or late at night. That is how great this series is compared to Something in the Rain.

Cecille Oct 20 2020 11:17 am I love Jung Haein and will never get tired of him. Am watching this for the 2nd time. The drama may be slow but i can't turn away from it. I learned to love it esp when they play those wonderful songs that adds to the vibe of certain scenes. Like a girl's make up, good songs enhance the quality of a drama. I have watched a lot of kdramas but OSN is one of the 4 series that i tend to rewatch when i get bored with other dramas.

Leah Oct 13 2020 10:12 am I only finished this because of Jung Haein LOL. And if you love him too and you are in the mood for a melodrama, then go watch this. But my warning though is the female lead character is such a narcissistic selfish b. I have not warmed up on her character even until the last spisode. The male lead is too good for her. I don't even know how he can fall in love with such a selfish boring cheating librarian. I did not get the insta love at all.

I actually love the premise and adult story of this one compared to Something in the rain. This is more a mature story while SITR, just feel like a puppy lustful story. But both the female leads in both dramas just sucks LOL

My final take on this drama is to go to a pharmacy to get a medicine for hangover and I might find a good looking single father who would love me instantly LMAO

Jamison Sep 29 2020 1:32 pm I loved Something in the Rain so decided to watch this as it’s the same writer and director as Something in the Rain along with the male lead and other cast members so thought it’d be just as good. But I hated this one!! The lead female Han Ji Min as Lee Jeong-In sucked and didn’t find any chemistry between the 2 leads. I could barely watch 2 episodes. If they had another female lead maybe it would’ve been better but I couldn’t stand her. She ruin the whole drama. Had to stopped watching! Worst drama ever! Pass!

Jasmine Sep 26 2020 1:48 pm I watched this Drama after watching Familiar Wife, then I noticed Han Jimin and started to watch her other Kdramas and movie including this OSN, to be honest, I'm loving this drama of her the most until I can't get over with it. They're acting is so natural, no effort at all as if it happens in real life. Been watching this so many times on Netflix and also the bts on YouTube. And now, I'm giving my verdict. Lol Highly recommended for those who want to watch a relaxing kind of Drama. And also, the moral lessons was very mature. Loving this and the two main leads, Han Jimin and Jung Haein. It's a 10/10 rating for me ?

Honestly, the pacing of this drama is really slow but I never find it boring. Yes. There were lots of scenes that you think they can do better or just converse or something or whatever (not just staring each other or sitting side by side or crying at the side) ; however, you should not think of it. Those scenes were of equal importance as they were talking, walking or selling meds. Those scenes lets the viewers involve in the decision making; it's one way calming the viewers' urge to let the main couple be together already. Those scenes make it more realistic and help weigh the consequences of your decision. It stopped everyone from acting out of emotion or in a spur of the moment.

All the characters (from the main-down to the supporting, even the vendors) are relatable and portrayed within the context. A role of a friend, a role of a family, a role of the bystanders and onlookers who know nothing about your life than to judge on what they see fits their "judgement."

(I really used lots of OR, dunno why)

soph Jul 16 2020 10:43 pm loved this drama! lately i've been watching young teen dramas and this was a nice change of pace! I live how realistic and especially since they're older it makes you really see how adults love works. Some people might not like it bc of how relaxed it is but personally I love it and adds to that realistic feel. I especially love the long shots of the actors especially when the long shot is far away from the actor. Its as if we are getting a peak of their life which is cool and draws me in. Also not to compare dramas but i liked this so much better than something in the rain. Acting is superb but the plot was so meh. barely any character development on and sometimes the lead female character bothered me sometimes. This drama has great lead and side stories pulling it together. We really see the beginning of their romance to watch it progress into something beautiful. But I really need to pause from watching so many romantic kdramas bc in the end they just make me cry cuz im single as a pringle :'). anyways enjoyed this drama jung hae in is one of my fave male actors and he has great chemistry with all female leads. Hope to see him play a nonromantic character maybe be the bad guy ooo that would be fun. also cant leave out han jimin first time seeing her on screen and she rocked this role. also a nod to the three sisters' mom her acting is on point. what got me is the long scene after she found out seo in's husband had been abusing her. The rawness in the way she cries silently is just wow i can almost feel the pain she's carrying. her daughter had been going through this pain without her knowing. anyways wow didnt mean to write this much 10/10 drama definitely recommended to those looking for a slow moved romance

Watching it because of Jung Hae In, and he is so suitable for this kind of character. Looking forward to watch this drama and feeling warm because of it, just like Something in the Rain.

Han Jimin really nailed her character well, she was so pretty in this drama same goes to Jung Hae-in he's such a handsome guy, this two main lead characters really compliment each other well. Vee Jun 07 2020 12:19 am Talks about how slow this drama is is definitely true but I never found it boring. The chemistry between the two lead is what captivates the audience. Luckily the side plots are interesting so that’s a plus. This is a very sweet drama where I found myself smiling (and heart fluttering) because of how sweet and cute Jeong-In and Ji-Ho are together. Their relationship development is so realistic and engaging that you can’t help but root for them.

I’m new to Kdrama; started with CLOY then SITR (due to SYJ) then OSN (due to JHI). JHI’s acting is no joke because his character in OSN exudes confidence (yet doubt), maturity and reservation vs. his SITR counterpart where he’s more young and reckless. You’d be amaze that it’s the same actor.

I’m currently rewatching OSN for the 3rd time...and counting :). CLOY is good but super unrealistic. SITR is good too but the courtship happened too fast within the first few episodes and the remaining episodes are them getting through all sorts of infuriating obstacles that tests their love.

If you’re hesitant, don’t, just give OSN a try and you won’t regret it.

First, maybe because the problem in this drama is a reality about the love world of adults, young people or school children will get bored and not interested in this drama. Second, cinematography and music used are very suitable for audiences who like calm and aesthetics, therefore for those who like things that are lively and colorful, they may not be too or not even interested in this drama.

Julie May 30 2020 9:04 am I knew straight away without checking that the director was Ann Pan-seok, he is so brilliant with mood, but I kept thinking I was still in Something in the Rain. The cast is half the same, the music not as haunting but similar style and the street shots. He directs powerfully. Jung Hae In is not comfortable as a Dad but he was brave to trying, but he was trying to hard to be natural. He is so funny with his sticking out ears! Really cute. Good idea to give the Mum, who got such a hard time after Something in the Rain for being a nasty Mother, this time she was made caring and sweet and a bit classy. She’s smart. The younger sister also plays again, she was Bo ra before, a clever actress. It is a great story well told, what is missing is that electric chemistry with Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In, that was just amazing and the most realistic I had ever seen. Han Ji Min is only a year younger than Son Ye Jin, but she acted the same age as him in this one, she really had a realistic bond with the little son, Eun u and with her sisters. The youngest sister is an interesting actress. I now have my eye on this director and await his next with interest. I hope he persuades Son Ye Jin to partner Jung Hae In again. Son Ye Jin is heart-breakingly beautiful and a fantastic actress. She probably declined to do Crash Landing.

Watching her makes me sad and miserable, i feel like my days are dragging. The most irritating part of this show is the background music that plays same music over and over and over and over again. The music is so irritating, that I would rather go to work and get Covid 19. Did the producer ran out of money and couldn't afford to pay for other rights for another background music!!

It may be a bit slower than the usual fast paced drama-filled plot, but isn't that how real life is. This drama realistically shows how two people who wouldn't think of getting together, somehow still ends up falling in love with each other.

He keeps pointing out that he cares about her gettting hurt by being with a single father, but really, he's just belittling him just like his father belittling her father, hes the worst! If he doesnt have that superiority complex, i might take his side for being the victim, but no. Nothing is wrong with being a single father and nothing is wrong with not wanting to get married.

Susan May 10 2020 6:27 pm i watched SITR after CLOY because of Son ye jin then One spring night bec of Jung Hae . I watched first 2 and then the last two. It was not interesting at all. For SITR , the playfulness and flirting so enjoyable .It brings back memories of young adult life. Jung hae for his age looks very young and Son ye jin is so pretty for someone to fall in love. They should have chosen another actress for this role OSN . The female lead role ,pretty but not attractive enough and she looks older than Jung Hae. They tried hard but dull ,the courtship at SITR is so amazing that I keep on watching some of the scenes.

Val May 07 2020 4:01 am This drama was very disappointing and boring, it had no plot and if you watched the first episode you could probably guess correctly how the drama is going to end. I watched this for Jung hae in which is pretty good, but I'd recommend watching something in the rain instead, that drama is also chill and can be watched calmly but this one basically has nothing happening for 16 hours which can be summed up in about 2.

Parents treating their children in an abusive and intrusive way, even if they are adults? Always trying to run their life. This is actually quite sad. No cummunication in the family, always trying to keep an appearance. Superficial, cold, not knowing to convey their feelings. And this conception about being a single parent. I am horrified how the mother tells her son to live a sad life, just because he does not have the right to be happy. If this is the real Korean society, then thank you, but no thank you. I am profoundly dissapointed.

L2000 Apr 03 2020 4:40 pm First time commenting on a kdrama. I enjoyed this drama as much as I did Something in the Rain. Like someone said in their comments, this kind of drama isn't for everyone. You genuinely have to enjoy heartfelt, realistic and slice of life kind of drama to love it. I regret not watching quicker, as I did with Something in the Rain. And despite other comments, I found that I can relate to Lee Jeong In the most out of all characters. Her character was very realistic - being pressured by all aspects of life and sometimes even confusing herself. Her frustrating and complex character is so realist to most of us in such situations- we just don't realize it cause we're not the observer. I don't think she cheated. She ended things with Gi Seok but he was too selfish to let her go despite knowing their relationship has failed due of his egoistic character.

I'm looking forward to watch more drama's from Writer Kim Eun.

I felt irritated all the time because she never apologized to Gi seok...for falling for another man when she was already in a relationship with him...and yes gi seok was at faults bt so is everyone in this world....so all of us deserved to be cheated by our partners???

“Jeong-In is selfish & indecisive”? You totally missed the point. Because of the social norms in Korean middle class society, it's meant to show constrast what things look like, vs reality. The advice is “be selfish” sometimes. Choose what is good for you, not just your family (her older sister). But because it is Korea, she is still mindful how hard it is for her family. So she gives them time to accept him.

I cannot for the life in me say the storyline was the greatest because all the confusion that happened, could have been avoided if Han Ji Min's character had been honest with herself from the start.

But anyway, as always Jung Hae In's dramas are always thought provoking in some way and I really liked how they explored the dynamics of being a single parent in Asian communities but this storyline with Han Ji Min's character was disappointing, to say the least

She says near the beginning of the series that she hates people who lies but she’s the one who ends up lying to everyone around her—her friends, BF, family, the man she “loves”. It was so frustrating to watch her go back and forth dragging everyone around her! She also kept taking compliments and turning them into something selfish (ie: you look pretty—you mean I wasn’t pretty before?) ugh. It will be hard for me to watch any other drama she’s in because this character ruined the actress for me. I will give it one redeeming quality of trying to show the discrimination against single parents/fathers and social norms and expectations and the main lead guy was easier to like. Other than that—it was very painful to watch all the episodes to see how it ends. I had to fast forward through many of the slow scenes with the same songs.

When I saw that a new KDrama was on Netflix of course I had to go watch it and when I started to watch this it was kinda slow and I was like I'm not going to every watch this and of course I gave it an chance and it was so interesting I was like is this how it is in Korea everyday or the struggles of being a single dad in Korea because I live in America and if their was an single dad no one would really care but I didn't know this is how Koreans react to little stuff like this and also I love the songs even though they were getting annoying but I actually really like this playlist the songs is so soothing and calm and I be in my feelings everytime I listen to these songs this Drama was emotional and a good romance KDrama. Over all this was the best in my opinion so far

ok Oct 19 2019 7:42 am For those who have not watched it - this drama is not as slow as people have been complaining. In comparison to a lot of fast paced dramas it may not be as fast, but in drama land it sure isn't slow. Don't forget we're dealing with a story that treads on a fine line of romance and not some action/melodramatic one.

If it went too fast ya'll would curse her more than some of you already did lol. A failure to understand characters and just judge their character/the story based on it not going the way people want is a real issue among certain drama watchers. This show is one of the top dramas that hit so close to reality - in my opinion anyways. Despite it's name, this drama is perfect for the Autumn and Winter seasons... Heck all seasons. It's a nice and heartwarming snuggle up drama.

Give it a go :')

I think the plot is very refreshing and shows the real struggles of being in a relationship. I can understand why a lot of people would not find this drama to be as entertaining as others since it is perceived as slow and boring. But I think that makes it a more realistic show. I also like the character build of both the leads as they are experiencing new things. I hate the boyfriend because he has a horrible personality. I appreciate that the main female lead waited until after breaking up with her boyfriend to be with the male lead. And we can all agree that she did not move fast after the break up as she had been in an unhappy relationship for so long. Anyway I give this drama a 9/10!

Some said slow and boring but i find it attractive to me. i can't stop continue watching. i love this drama that show you the real side of human. Many said the female lead is selfish but for me she fall in love with the male lead but knowing that is wrong when she is in a relationship with gi-seok., she struggle to let go the one she fall in love. is just a normal human behavior. Look at how brave she fight for her true feeling. the love between three sister also. love the sister's love.

She is incredibly selfish and doesn't know what she wants, which leads to emotional cheating. Even as a female, I could not find any empathy for her and her actions. I know this drama is trying to be more raw and realistic than typical kdramas, but it was not written well and the actions of the female lead were very questionable. It does address many topics of society including being a single father, abuse, marriage, etc. But there was absolutely no chemistry between the female and male leads.

Not necessary because it is so horrible or bad, but it is sooooooo incredibly slow. I know korean dramas often are, but this is so slow it feels like I am watching the same episode each time. But the worst part is the soundtrack, it was the biggest reason for my bad feelings. It is the same two song over and over!!! It sounds like a cheap knock off of Lady Antebellum, How on earth do they think any one can survive sixteen episodes of the same two horrible songs?!?!?!? I have never experienced a moment where I have to quit a show because of the soundtrack. It is awful.

christina Aug 26 2019 9:05 am When I saw it was 32 episodes(only realising that each is only 35 mins), I almost gave up but I can't because of Jung Hae-In. It is worth watching again. All the actors did so well...love the sisters' relationship, the buddies of Ji-Ho, Jung-In's BFFs, the OSTs, the cinematography, the story.....but most of all I love the chemistry between Ji-Min/Hae-In and Min-Kyung/Chang-Hoon. Enjoyed so much...

The same two songs over and over. Second is the slow progression of the plot which came off as boring many times. The conflict gets dragged throughout the entire 16 episodes and a person wished the characters finally woke up and came back to their senses but they keep acting stupid. Third is the female lead. She is fierce and fearless which is ok. But she is really stubborn and annoying. I hate her choices many times. I hate how she gets easily offended and just walks off. For example at that scene when Jiho got drunk and scared she might leave them too. Instead of being understanding of the situation he is in and the feelings he might feel she got offended that he even questions her feelings and left the flat. She slowly started losing my interest and her personality was so off-putting. The drama was good as a type of relaxation but pretty boring.

Ji-ho (love the actor who plays him by the way), on the other hand, from the moment he finds out she is basically engaged tries to let go and then she keeps ruthlessly and selfishly persuing him even when he asks her to please help him get over it. She is utterly selfish and keeps making it worse and worse for him. That is not love its just selfish attraction and if they ended up getting married after going behind everyone's backs and deceiving everyone from the outset of their relationship they would never feel at peace with each other and never be happy. Fantastic cast. Horribly depressing storyline.

Even better get a composer to do an instrumental arrangement without vocals, and save a single song for the title theme.

It is very sweet and this might make people jaded to the story line, but there are a lot of life lessons to be found here. And in the moment, you will not mind having your sweet tooth pulled...for an hour at a time. It's very well done, nice scenery, nice music, and it has the right balance without having to resort to nudity. If they is what you are looking for, there are plenty of empty emotional websites that cater to that! For once, sit back and let the story unfold like a flower, on a Spring night! Humanity can show grace in it loving pursuits without being vulgar.

I've been anticipating this drama since HJM confirmed her casting & I'm glad that I stick with it since May. I'm satisfied with the ending, I like how they wrap the series though there are topics in the second to the last ep that I felt a bit rush, it didn't lose it's momentum like OSN always do for each episode. I like every aspect of this drama from the plot to technicalities, even the characters have their flaws & their situations aren't perfect but OSN shows the warmness & genuineness of their story. I appreciate how they want the series to be relatable in a realistic sense. The last episode shows us that the character's life & romance didn't end with marriage because their life & romance continues, it flows with the people they love & trust. Kudos to Han Ji Min & Jung Hae In for their efforts & their spring-like chemistry, they truly work together as partners helping each other to make their scenes effective & they are in sync with the whole cast; also kudos to the director, writer & crew they've done well. I'm glad that this drama received so well that they top the ratings in the 3rd act of the series until the end because it equates that their hard work paid off.

Overall, there are instances that I felt a bit rush in some topics, people might not like the character's personality & their decisions but I guess that's how this drama works its magic, showing a character's flaw & their situations makes it relatable & raw. I'm satisfied with the conclusion because it tells us that life & romance doesn't just stop with marriage & it just keeps going & better with the people you love & trust. I love how they concluded the series in an emotional yet calm manner which appropriates for the drama as a whole. One Spring Night showcased a slice of life, a mature mellow romance with a touch of genuineness that the director & writer wanted. I love every aspect of it from the main to the subplot. To the main character & supporting characters, the technicalities & dialogues. I'm also glad that Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In are able to work in this beautiful project as a leading pair; they became partners who learned from each other making their scenes effective but genuine; they are also in sync with the cast & crew. I love them. I hope this won't be the last project that they will work on together. I'm going to miss this series so much, since May this series gave me so many butterflies and feels that made me anticipate every Wednesday & Thursday night. I don't know if MBC will have their yearly drama awards but I hope they do and I wish this drama & the cast/crew will get its recognition for its quality content. Thank you One Spring Night for the warm spring-like story that you brought to me.

When someone you break up with refuses to accept your decision to break up then proceeds to contact your family and friends, shows up at your job and contacts you endlessly, you get a restraining order because that is harassment. WTF?!!! I would jump off a bridge if I was in Jeung in's shoes and I'm not even saying that lightly, I'm quite serious. I mean no one is caring about what I want or feel; this man who I no longer care for won't let me leave him and the parents are guilting/forcing me to keep dating him; they will not accept the person I want to be with. Gad! That is a recipe for a mental and emotional breakdown, I'd either run away to a foreign country or jump of a bridge.

Listen... if this is not how it really is in South Korea then these types of dramas have to stop being made. It gives the impression that South Korea is terribly oppressive to women. They’ve fall out of love even before she met Ji Ho, it just made Jeong In realized that even more. Marriage is not something that you can return immediately if you happen to realize that you chose the wrong person. People commit mistakes, here she’s fall out of love long time ago they failed and they just need to accept the fact that they’re not meant for each other otherwise they will just end up as a divorced couple. Ji Ho just made her realized that... Also, I think she is just so simple that she doesn’t mind about her looks and it makes her more pretty... That’s her and the way she dressed fits her role as a librarian. Chill guys watch if you like the drama, don’t watch if you don’t.

And it's called emotional cheating btw. she formed an emotional connection with Ji Ho because she and Gi Seok stopped trying a long time ago.

And honestly if someone falls out of love with you, then I say as someone of 'this generation', let them go. Why are you torturing yourself and them? To stay in an unhappy relationship? Marriage doesn't mean the relationship will work out.

Both parties have to be invested in making the relationship work and Gi Seok and Jung In weren't doing that. Gi Seok's problem is that he sees Ji Ho as inferior and is competitive. He isn't doing this out of love for Jung In. He's doing this because he doesn't want to lose. Period.

I mean, look at Joong Ki and Hye Kyo! I was surprised that instead of playing the part of happy couple they decided to be honest with themselves and the public. That's a huge break away from how SK celebrities treat divorces. I'm sure there are loads of couples that keep together because of how fickle and discriminatory the public treats divorce.

and to the people skipping scenes....This is why ya'll don't undertstand why it's difficult for her to make a clean break. this isn't a drama where you skip scenes and still follow. every piece of dialogue is important to understanding. that's the beauty of this drama. it makes you stop and think.

also they never did anything physical so I don't understand why the scenes of Ji Ho and Jung In talking were so off putting???

people 27 years and older should watch this drama. i think the seriousness and the fact that it shows life is complex and not simple will resonate a lot more cuz we've been through stuff and get that about life.

and I say this as someone whose gf emotionally cheated on me. I let her go. I realized we weren't working at the last minute and my indifference hurt her a lot. I didn't want to hurt her anymore and I didn't want to be hurt. that's the difference between me and Gi Seok I guess. also my family were more accepting lmao (praise asian families that aren't conservative and traditional!!!)

Nobody is entirely awful and nobody is a saint, I do understand that we all go through a lot in life, but we can and should find ways of not being a negative thing in others lives intentionally. The drama is very real in this aspect, I see people going through this every day. I don't thing Jung In is a villain, they all have a complex background. But I really can't relate with people who just avoid difficult things. I get that she's not happy, I get that it's a long relationship, and I see how toxic Ki Seok is to her. With that said, I feel like she keeps taking the easy path and that to me is the reason why I dislike her character. The way she acts makes me root against her being with Jae In only because they don't seem to be getting in to a good relationship either. I hope they explore this in a better way before this whole thing becomes a flat predictable storyline. To clarify, I'm not only blaming Jung In, I just think that being her the one in a relationship that likes someone else, she is more in the wrong.

I do understand where the writer wants to go with the character develpment but I guess the relationship between the main characters is just not likeable for me. I began watching because of the similarities with SINTR, which I get that many dislike because of the last episodes, but I personally loved. In the beginning I could understand where Jung In was coming from, but I guess I just hate cheaters. I don't understand why the drama kept taking so long on such a simple matter just like I can't understand why people do it in general. I guess my growing disgust just keeps me from connecting with the plot. I'll probably keep on watching because I like wasting my time, but I hope things progress. The plot is getting more and more cliché every day.

I think those who have been giving negative comment had not been concentrating much in the story. From the first episode she had been telling her friend about how her relationship with her boyfriend had been going. Only then came Ji Ho and it sparks her love life again. You will know how it feel when you have the experience.

She told Ji Ho from the start she had a boyfriend. Ji Ho decided to keep showing her attention. Her interest got peaked, his interest got peaked. It's called emotional cheating. Am I condoning it? Nope. But I understand why it took them so long to get a clean break because I'm actually paying attention to what the writer is doing.

Gi Seok doesn't love Jung In. If your love is determined by how possessive and petty your partner becomes over you, then you need to get help. That isn't romantic. Someone not respecting your choice, constantly pursuing you, instigating drama with your family....that isn't romantic.

Ya'll have selective memory when it comes to Gi Seok but will throw Jung In under the bus. Just look at how she talks to him, how she admits that it's not completely his fault. They're both at fault for the relationship failing.

They know they don't love each other and Jung In is very brave to stand up to a society that's pressuring her to marry someone just because they've been together for four years. A relationship they both admit they went into NOT expecting marriage but because they fell out of love and got too comfortable, continued with it.

LOL Ji Ho asked her to stay, that he needed to talk to Gi Seok. He has an issue with Gi Seok hurting his pride and offending him as a single father. Everyone around Jung In said as hot headed as Gi Seok is, he isn't one to resort to fists. The guys needed to talk without her there. What the hell was she supposed to do if they really did start fighting anyways?

The comment section of this drama is super interesting. You can tell how rational people are about the story by their comments - some have super interesting insights and some are just bummed out about this particular actress with their 'guy'. I know this drama is not for everyone. Younger me would have been turned off by this but older me is very happy to see such thought go into presenting this subject of emotional cheating. Life isn't black and white sadly and things happen as you get older. You realize some pretty difficult things and this drama isn't sugar coating it.

Take a deep breath kids. If you hate the characters and the story then stop watching it. No one is forcing you to. Find something else that's suited for you.

Her bf called her and she's at the pharmacy and obviously ji Jo let him inside to answer the call, she could have left and went home, she didn't even reply to his bf message because she called ji ho to meet. Isn't it that considered as cheating? Obviously it is, she even told her bf "should we get married".. If she wants to put an end to their relationship she could have end it. She don't deserve her bf anyway. But she's still meeting his bf. If in reality as a man that means a lot. A man will never run after a girl if he knows he doesn't have a chance. But in the drama the girl is opening all opportunities, she still have the guts to get annoyed to ji ho when she's the one calling him to meet as an excuse!!

I'm still watching but it seems that the whole story is about the girls cheating. I'll let my friends know not to watch this. I don't recomm6, they'll just gonna be upset. Hae in still attractive though what he's doing is not right but he still have the charisma. He could have paired with other noona, someone that's more attractive!!

Yes, she doesn't deserve his bf love, I don't like her bf too but she has to be honest. Tell her bf that she likes someone. Try to watch of her other dramas, it's always like that. Very old fashion. The supporters dress or outfit even look better than hers.

@ hitomiS, yeah their emotional cheating was bad but the drama showed us why they kept going back and forth on their feelings. oh and the boyfriend isn't a victim. him saying he would have broken up with her after she nagged him to work on their relationship problems don't have me feeling sorry for him at all. he basically admitted he wouldn't have cared to try to improve their relationship and would have called it quits.

remember when someone (I think his dad) asked him if he loved her and he didn't say anything? then the person asked him if he just wanted access to the basketball court and he just grunted 'yeah'. he fell out of love with her too.

his reaction to how he wanted them to break up is very telling. he wanted to be the one to break it off because she kept nagging him. she broke it off because she fell in love with someone else. his dad told him she was too mature for him and he's proving him right with his reaction. he doesn't want to leave jung in alone, he's going against her wishes, he's instigating her family against her...

what I'm trying to say is all these characters are flawed. they make mistakes. gi seok started taking jung in for granted, jung in kept pretending she was in love with him, they're both unhappy and just rolled with it because hey! we've been dating for four years, surely love is supposed to be like this? be tired and resentful?

and then jung in met ji ho and crap hits the fan. it's a mess and I don't think her telling him as soon as she met ji ho would have changed anything. gi seok still would have been pissed that he was 'losing out' to ji ho. remember he's super competitive and he has daddy issues. his dad finally approved of his girlfriend, praised her (something i'm sure he rarely does) and gi seok is like 'Okay I did one good thing right in my life and finally got my dad's approval!' so now he's extra competitive about losing to ji ho.

In this drama, Ki-Seok's only bad thing is that he was not romantic enough to Jung-In, apart from that, he is a decent guy and loves her and so he is the victim here. Therefore, both Ji-Ho and Jung-In are wrong and selfish to do what they did. However, if I were either Ji-Ho or Jung-In, I would do the same. You can see how strong their love is. Jung Hae-In is always so good as acting the part of someone crazy in love. You can see how happy they are together. Even though they did something wrong and deserve social criticism for it, it is worth it. Although Ki-Seok is the victim, he should accept it, just like a traffic accident, it's too bad but you need to recover and get on with life. He himself said: "I can't marry a woman who loves another man".

it took jung in a while to figure out what she really wanted. societal and familial pressure had her staying in a relationship that she knew was long over. she had fallen out of love with gi-seok before ji ho even entered the scene.

i mean take the scene where she's telling gi seok she's sorry for pretending to love him despite knowing she didn't. she took responsibility for her part in their relationship failing. they both have equal blame but here's the catch.

gi seok said he would have rather she nagged him about making things work so he would have insisted on breaking up than finding out she had fallen for ji ho, someone he views as a inferior. because of his pride and immaturity, instead of accepting what she wants and letting her go, he's going to chase after her. isn't that disgusting?

you talk about jun in being flirty...ji ho isn't innocent lmao, homeboy was giving as good as he got and WENT OUT OF HIS WAY to go visit her and call her.

I love how this show isn't black or white. It makes you think about these characters, their situation, feelings and motivation. I mean, unless thinking isn't what you want to do and just condemn characters for how the writers decide to depict them...

They're both making mistakes and having frank conversations owning up to it. I think they're well suited for each other.

It's honestly a relief to see k-dramas depicting the messiness of adulthood and it isn't romanticized. It's great that writers and studios can explore mature content like this.

I just realized Shi Hoon was Jin-A's boyfriend in episode 15/16 of SitR and I love that Joo Min-Kyung has a bigger role in this drama. I loved her in SitR.

Jung In is a little too reckless and inconsiderate and I feel she's going to end up making a huge mess that will hurt Ji Ho.

After episode 16, I'm worried about Seo In. She needs to break free of that husband but I fear things are about to get even more complicated. Like SitR, this drama is shining a bright spotlight on being a woman in South Korean society, so I know what's about to happen with Seo In will be big. I like this drama, even if Ji Min is irritating me with her recklessness.

A very beautiful vision of human relationships and their questioning, their feelings and all the unsaid that evolves around the emerging love story between the two lead characters. The social relationships are dramatically deciphered through the camera of the director. The series resembles more the French or British TV series in the scenario, the acting, etc. The main actors from Something in the Rain here again have a beautifull acting.

It is awesome script with fine actresses, esp Han Ji Min & very good actors like Jung Hae In who are able to translate the story for us in a way where we can relate & feel what they are going through.

Kudos to scriptwriter & director who respect our critical thinking & imagination. This is why I stay away from Hollywood whose films show everything from skin to verbal crudeness to violent acts. We can see through the communications & symbols used in this drama what violent & immoral acts have transcribed between & among the characters. I depend on Korean dramas nowadays to tell very good stories in a very wholesome & exciting way.

I'm glad Han Ji Min accepted this role with Jung Hae In as her love interest in the story (& vice versa). There are too many Korean dramas available but I always watch Han Ji Min's dramas & movies because she is very wise in choosing them. She deserves the BEST ACTRESS award. Thank you producers for giving the role to HJM & JHI. These 2 are giving us their best acting talents. But the whole cast deserve our deep appreciation, too. They are giving justice to the script & the story.

I specifically love that scene with jiho's son & jungin at the library because at that moment jungin felt that aside from her affection to jiho, she also came to realize she is fond with eunwoo too. this drama didn't fail to deliver palpable dialogues and giving me the unnecessary butterflies. what I also like was the relationship of our leads to the supporting characters like the lee sisters with their mom & jiho with his son, senior & dad. I remembered when the first few episodes were dropped a lot of people don't like how things started to jungin & jiho but as episodes go by we got to know the story more, jungin is trying to break things off to giseok because despite how long their relationship is, there is no love anymore and I hope giseok give that freedom to jungin. I also love how jungin's sisters are open minded, giving her the advice & support that she needs and jiho's dad & senior as they both support him to live the life he wants & love again as they saw him miserable when his ex-lover left him with his son. We're halfway the series and I'm actually glad it didn't lose its momentum each episode. I hope the scriptwriter continues with it & that she doesn't pull any unnecessary conflicts (tbh I'm afraid she might pull that the ex-lover of jiho might appear when things are good with our OTP but I hope not since they don't confirm any actress to play that role & I just hope that conflict between the parents, I just really hope it would handle well to the fact that it won't affect the story half way)

I started crying so hard because that's what people who suffer from domestic violence do. We don't want to be alone with our abusers. Her doing that saved her from getting assaulted.

marital rape is real. it doesn't matter if you're married, if one person doesn't want to have intercourse and is forced by the other - that's rape. I know this is an SK drama so they won't show us the truly ugly things but you can infer it from how he behaves with her. manhandling her, hurting her, leaving marks all over her body...he probably has raped her as well.

it's so freaking sad that the mother knew what really was going on when she saw how he was behaving at the door. poor girl just needs support and love from her family. her stupid father might just tell her to grin and bear the abuse because we all know how society thinks of divorced women and women who have been abused.

With many of the stars from Something in the Rain especially our darling Jung Hae-In!! But I don't know if this series will be as magical and addictive as Something in the Rain. Ive only watched the first episode but it seems a bit too formulaic and trying to do what Something in the Rain already did so beautifully. I hope Jung Hae-In doesn't get typecast and recycled in only romance dramas. He would be awesome in an action-thriller. Please make Train to Busan 2 and cast Jung Hae-In as the lead!! Yessssss!

The way they interact with each other makes sense, I mean JiHo does live apart from him and he visits eun-woo a few times (once/twice) a week with frequent phone calls. From Hae In’s acting I can see he really loves his son and they’re relationship is in a sense what is common. By common I mean that the overly ecstatic kdrama child who’s always smiling isn’t what is always seen in real life haha, I know plenty of kids who have strained yet comfortable relationships with their parents for one reason or another - yes even at small ages. But yeah, I guess they could be seen that way, but I didn’t feel that at all :’)

Its childishly refreshing to see the same revolving actors in different guises in this director's dramas. I especially like Gil Hae-Yeon who was the mother from hell in SITR now a more downtrodden soul in this setting.

Great writing, directing and acting, more true to life than most with many a lingering question, hence the repeat viewings. One for the adults most definitely.

miranda Jun 07 2019 1:15 am this show was a big let down when compared to the director's previous work, "something in the rain (pretty noona who buys me food)". the show even stars 5 (FIVE!!!!) of the same actors as the previous drama and the soundtrack is basically identical (in terms of genre, vibe, and date of the music made). it makes it literally impossible to not compare the two dramas, which i find did not work in favor of this one at all, since "something in the rain" was an enormous success and arguably a more likeable plot than "one spring night." maybe if i hadn't have seen the other drama, this one would have appealed to me more, but unfortunately that is not the case. it had so much potential, especially with such a risque topic as adultery, but it just super fell flat for me. i love love love the cast and the directing though, and i really think they did an incredible job with they had to work with!!! (i didn't mean to make this sound like a review but i guess that's what it turned into, sorry lol)

I know by now love and relationship is something you work on everyday. The fling you felt at first doesn't last forever and reality will hit you sooner or later. It's the rawness and mundane side of life. Many struggle to understand it. But it is also true that so many of us, we get into relationship without truely understanding the basic foundation in a relationship or without even questioning much about the compatibilty and we confuse it with the mundane side of life even when the relationship has fallen out a long time ago. We assume we can work things out and we are scared to face head on with our true feelings and emotions. The quantity of time spent wih someone shouldn't be the reason why your are sticking with that particular person.

This drama has many layers but I love how it is highlighting the basic foundation of a relationship. Finding connection with someone while being in relationship can be seen as cheating. But it is also true that not being honest to your feeling and trying to run a dead horse ( in drama the relationship between Jeong -in and Ki soek) is cheating in the long run. Ki Soek is already cheating too by not being genuine with his feeling. It is clear that he is not ending things with Jeong-In more so because of his pride than his genuine feelings. I'm looking forward how it unfolds. Thank you for creating raw and brutally honest drama.

I also love the spirited characters of Jung In and Jae In which represents the current situation. No sugar coating of words or situations yet presented in a very cinematographic way and manner.

hotarumaruchii May 31 2019 11:22 am I just want to share my thoughts now that I watched episodes 5-8 with english subs; so far just like how it did capture me from the last week's pilot episodes, they still deliver, the dialogues tugs you into the character's line progression, the symbolism of cinematography that might parallel something later on. it's a drama where somehow put the audiences to a question in terms of our main leads relationship & how it goes to the moral. after these episodes, my thoughts circles around that yes, this is indeed a drama for adults that sometimes it's hard to carry your words & thoughts about the conflicts they had in the drama. I love the OST, especially the main song Spring Rain by Osear Dunbar & I wish they release it next week. I noticed how when a character has this focus shot then the bgm plays, it defines how a character is dealing with, it's like the song is the character's thoughts especially that scene where Jungin is at the cafe alone, that song speaks to him.

To be honest, there's so much to talk abt. there are actually a few subjects that this drama is showing other than the questionable cheating & being a single parent, the subjects are abuse (jungin's sister with her husband), power (the dad & the dad's of jungin's bf & soon to be ex jk! well it hasn't really shown yet but there's a possibility), expectations. I like how they don't sugar coat things, the conversation between our mains to the supporting characters always went straight to the point. I also like how conflicts here don't in a bigger scale production but this drama showing the conflicts in a raw & flawed way.

I'm liking the pace so far and I just wish, really wish the scriptwriter won't ruin it half way.

i noticed this drama is addressing the stigma of:

- single fathers

- young women who don't want to be married just because society expects them to

- domestic violence (the older sister and her skeezy husband *i wanna kill him*, he's in so much debt and she knows if she divorces him her job would penalize her for it because apparently that ruins her 'clean image' *i hate patriarchal societies*)

- cheating (Yeah it's emotional cheating and I honestly don't understand them??? She's unhappy, he's unhappy. So what if they've been together for years? this is where cultural pressure comes in *i know this feeling, i'm from an asian family* Like I get why she's scared but gurl be clear and dump him. Make a clean break like what are you doing. They both know what's up, where this is heading and they still pretend this is a 'Just Friends' thing).

I'm enjoying the show but I am so aggravated about it at the same time??? I was right. This is a little raw and a whole lot of ugly haha *i've watched the 4 eps on netflix btw*

I think the two leads, which I find are immense actors, are doing a great job. I can’t wait each week for the new episodes.

JHI= first time in this drama, he doesn't suit a single father at all (looks too young). Sorry! KJH= don't know him at all. Sorry! overall I don't waste my time for this drama and stopped at ep.1

caca May 29 2019 10:06 pm i've watched till ep 3 and this drama is my top ongoing kdrama! i rly hope ji hoo and jung in will end up together in the end..<3 i started watching this drama bcs of han ji min (yeah she's one of my fav actresses) but now i'm falling for jung hae in so hard lol. he's so handsome and his character in this drama is so boyfriend material. i just can't take my eyes off of him. and for han ji min's acting.. it's daebak as always!! i got their chemistry too. i recommend this drama. one spring night fighting!!!!

whitewolf May 29 2019 9:35 am @UCAY you need to revisit your definition of "cheating" because when you are "in a relationship" whether married or not and you fancy and have an affair with someone else while in that relationship it is still cheating regardless how the other person treats you. If your partner treats you like trash then better get out of the relationship than to cheat. Also there are forms of cheating more than physical contact.

Jess May 29 2019 8:07 am havent watched this drama yet neither i have watched something in the rain. i both love han ji min and syj. comparing is a no no for me since they have both differences in acting and i like it that way. imagine watching two movies with different leads with the same acting styleS, thats boring. but anyways....netizens have their own taste. so be it. jejeje....wishing this drama would bring something new for me. i will wait for that time it'll catch my attention. so far the premises doesnt excite me yet.

In SITR offcourse they have chemistry, they known eachother for longgg time. But in OSN the main lead is total stranger.

Please dont judge drama only 2 eps. And somehow i love han ji min acting. And btw.. I think she is not cheat. She only find new love. As long as she is not tied to some marriage. Its totaly fine for me.. Look carefully how her boyfriend treat her. Its sucks man

I mean no offense but the way the story unfolds in this one is more convincing than something in the rain. I love the fact that Jung Hae In's character is a single dad here which makes the drama more interesting and OMG Han Ji Min is really a great actress, she shows her emotions really well. To those who are saying there's no chemistry at all? Are you blind or something? It's only a few episodes and the drama just started. I am glad that Son Ye Jin didn't accept this drama since it will just add more comparing on SITR.

Anyway, Let's all see how the drama unfolds and OST on this drama is on point!!!!

Sakura May 27 2019 6:40 pm I'm seeing comments that this one is better than Something In The Rain etc etc. And that HJM is better than SYJ because Joon Hee & Jin Ah's love was forced? Hell no. If you only watched carefully. I also think that this one reminds me a lot of SITR. The soundtracks with the same singer, Jin Ah's mom is here again, Bo-Ra her bestfriend is here, and the vibe. Oh how I LOVE SITR, it's my fave mature drama of all, nothing can beat it I swear. But even if I'm anticipating this, I can't feel the chemistry at all. It's like something is missing. I still think about SYJ. I wish she accepted the role instead. But yeah HJM is good too. I think this would have been better if Jeong-in do not have a boyfriend. I hate girls like this. She is emotionally cheating with her long-term boyfriend. I jate how she reacted when he asked her about marriage, it's obvious she has another guy in mind. I feel so bad for him. He deserves someone better than this girl. How I wish she didnt have a bf in the first place because HJM's role is already ruined. I really want to continue this but I cant stand her emotional cheating. It's just so wrong and can't romanticize it at all, never. So even if you say she's better, atleast JIN AH never cheated.

Jannah May 26 2019 2:11 pm I was all ready to rant but after I read @hotarumaruchii's review, I realised I need to see the show in another light. Right now, this feels like Keeping Up With The Kardashians where it's a trainwreck that you just want to keep watching. You can't turn away cause it's just addictive. Not in a good way, just addictive. Maybe as the show continues and more episodes get released, I won't feel this way.

But anyway, the beginning episodes' premise of 'cheating' is still cheating. Girls like this are why guys get ruined, and vice versa, guys like this are why girls get ruined. This Jung-in totally deserves to have the boyfriend and the guy she's curious about on the same team. I mean C'MON!! IF you want to be curious about anyone, then be single and be curious about people until someone catches your eye! For goodness sake, don't stay in a relationship if that guy doesn't give you the butterflies or make you swoon. Or you should work at your relationship if you lost that spark instead of being curious about another guy. If it doesn't work after working at it, then end it.

She said, "I want to get married because I want to get married not because I'm at the age where I have to get married." Well, SIS, you better practice what you preach! Don't be in a relationship because you are at the age where you have to BE IN a relationship but have a boyfriend because you wanna have one. I mean, seriously??!? Such contradiction. Stringing that guy along for years, they're in a long-term relationship right, just because you don't wanna be that single girl while everyone else have boyfriends is lame. Selfish even. Let that guy find someone who actually wants to be with him instead of letting him fall deeper for you only to say, "oh, this is not working out." Totally ruining that guy. Or that girl if this scenario was the other way around. It's called emotional cheating by the way, even if there is no physical stuff involved. Sheesh, at least practice what you preach man.

But yeah, @jaime got that right, this is certainly a little raw and a little ugly, totally real issues in life at hand. Just wish humans would treat others a little bit kinder and not mess up with their emotions. I dunno, are we supposed to romanticise emotional cheating? Is it a beautiful thing to do? Boy, is Han Ji-min good, I really loved her in Familiar Wife but her character in this show, so hateable, she's a good actress.

The unorthodox approach of the plot, simple yet impressive dialogues between the main leads, the romance that captures you from the very first moment on, the talented duo that enriches the show are all the factors exciting me and making me look forward to the upcoming episodes.

I have watched SYJ in Something in the Rain and Personal Taste while HJM in Rooftop Prince and the first 2 plus hours of One Spring Night. SYJ would not have succeeded in bringing out the perkiness of the character and pulling off the comedic awkward scenes NATURALLY.

I will honestly say 'Something in the Rain' wasn't my cup of tea but I respect the directions of it and how it wants to excel like an art film, unfortunately, it didn't get my interest that much but 'One Spring Night' could get that. I like the pacing, it's rather slow nor fast, the straightforwardness it wants to convey with each character. idk, why maybe I'm getting old that I appreciate this kind of works with adult life stories that deals with work, relationships, family and such topics in a new light without cliche directions.I have an issue with the use of bgm/ost, I love it but somehow it gets repetitive. Knetz has been debating whether the latest episodes showed 'cheating' since Jung In is still in a relationship with her bf (in wary status btw) while having these moments with Ji-Ho; both of them kind of have a curiosity with each other & Ji-Ho obviously attracted to Jung-In. I guess it was a bit controversial if people put it that way & I thought sometimes that this kind of storyline is fit for films rather than public broadcast television especially in kr but anyway we'll still see how the story goes before we really judge the relationship as indecent. I'm also liking Jung Hae-In and Han Ji-Min's chemistry, it's a little bit awkward at first but that basketball scene where Jung-In & Ji-Ho met their eyes from a far, I know it already begun.

But it also bothers me that the music team is making the same mistake of playing the same background song over and over again, just like Something In The Rain, the latter failing in coming up with nice ost songs.

Chakita3 May 21 2019 7:38 pm Wasn't a fan of SITR, tbh I didnt even finish it LOL!...Dont get me wrong, I love SYJ, shes one of my fav actresses and I have seen JHI work too which has been okay, but I thought personally, SITR just did not cut it, the love story was too tacky for their calibre (especially SYJ) and their chemistry was 'forced' - to me anyway. I hope this new drama with HJM is different...not too lovey dovey forced, but just a natural progression of love interest and chemistry. Will be interesting to see. I do agree that HJM is a great and beautiful actress, though romantic dramas for her have not come across as convincing or lifelike, but still, we shall see right. Its all in the chemistry right, the perfect partner, hmmmm....HJM + JHI Fighting!

Sia May 21 2019 4:55 am @Nn Gil Hae Yeon could either become Lee Jung In's or Yoo Ji Ho's mother so there's no telling yet whether she'll play the same annoying mother in SITR or the calmer and more normal mother in this drama. Frankly speaking i think it's pretty clear that the opposition thing would happen in this relationship they're having since this is so going to be an affair on Lee Jung In's behalf and of course Yoo Ji Hoo is so be going down the fire pit as well, in fact it'll possibly be both families going against it. I have in this writer though. I believe she could turn the cliches into something beautiful just like how she did with SITR but at least for me though. The release of the drama's highlight got me more pumped up but at the same time it kind of spoilt quite too much of what is in for us later

His hairstyle was done like that to show the maturity of his character anyway. For having the face which looks younger than his age does not mean he should only prioritized on playing bachelor characters all the time.

I wanted to see her paired with another actor like Park BoGum, Park Seo Jun, Choi Jin Hyuk or anyone, younger than her or not or maybe Hyun Bin or Kim So Hyun if he's out of military. She can portray any role and I know she'll excel... I hope she'll have a better drama projects this year.
