Tae-Ho (Song Joong-Ki) is a pilot of Spaceship Victory, which is led by a captain (Kim Tae-Ri). Tae-Ho will do anything to make money, but he is always broke. Tiger Park (Jin Sun-Kyu) and a robot (Yu Hae-Jin) are crew members of the spaceship.

Notes

Filming began July 3, 2019 and finished November, 2019.
Director Jo Sung-Hee and lead actor Song Joong-Ki previously worked together in 2012 film "A Werewolf Boy."
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, release date was moved from summer, 2020 to Korean Thanksgiving Day (October 1, 2020). The release date was again postponed and finally decided to release on Netflix February 5, 2021.

I watched this movie accompanied by my sister and brother, they weren't really interested at first, somehow they got hooked from the very first 10 minutes! I can't just describe just how perfect this movie is, the animation looks so real, the story that is so...human and the imagination that is so breathtaking. I very recommend this movie. no way in hell you're not watching this.

Briyan Feb 14 2021 1:57 am This was great to watch and interesting too. There weren't any slow moments and I really liked the take on the social commentary. I liked that we were shown the back story of the character's as the movie unfolded. I do not speak Korean but I always like to listen to the original audio track when possible. 30 seconds in i was amazed with the language switching throughout. pretty cool. Honestly I'm only half way through and am trying to figure out what language the character of 'Karum' is speaking. Maybe a form of creole?

I have heard and read criticisms that it has plot holes and lacks depth of character development but for anything that it may lack it well makes up for by breaking the tired Hollywood sci-fi tradition. Instead of one, end all, be all, hero - it's a group of three working class heroes and one robot. I've watched it three nights in a row just because it is super entertaining.

In Every Sci-fi Movie must aquire great Immersive level like this movie. time frame and technology at the time in 2092. not too advance or possible to get. but some tech doesnt make sanse like UTS dome, Orbital Elevator, and Space Highway. not all scene use CGI, room and setting is practical set. I doubt they make another sequel because netflix never create sequel. what i like to see is ship tech, Victory can change mode from hauler to fast ship. i really want to see that new 4 thruster ship. i mean 4 crew ship is enough to be immersive, only spaceship battle with few gunfight, using everything to destroy a hostile drone. its space sweepers. if 4 of them make cameo on another sci-fi movie. or get their own tv series. its should be fun to watch.

not really my vibe. main characters could have better dialogue, scenes & chemistry. transition of scenes is not that smooth. did not quite pull off its attempt of it being a mix of drama/dark thriller/heartwarming/comedy movie. great effects though.
