Konosuke Yowai (Tomoya Nakamura) is a psychiatrist and he runs his own small psychiatric clinic in a back alley in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. He listens to his patients carefully and faces their symptoms patiently. He can identify the names of illnesses that other doctors fail to do and he gives hope to his patients. He has a staff nurse, Yuri Amamiya (Tao Tsuchiya), who is working in the psychiatry department for the first time. She is fascinated by the depth of the psychiatric treatments administered by Konosuke Yowai, but she is unaware of Konosuke Yowai's own tragic past.
