silvia valli Sep 10 2025 5:54 pm Just watched it because of lee min-ki. I liked until the last episode. Bisoo's death didn't make any sense at all. Just when the character turns out to be a nice person he dies. Didn't get the reason.

anonymous Apr 07 2024 1:59 am I head the first director was removed from the project and the second one revised a lot of things so there were a lot of issues during production. But going by the scriptwriter's other work maybe this was a foregone conclusion. It could easily have been a sweet romcom which focused on family issues instead of a tragic semi-supernatural mess. This was one disaster neither Lee Min-ki nor Nana's presence can salvage.

The author should have stop at 49years, that would be better than still pushing to 49days. I remember other drama with 49 title, lead is able to live. i love it n thinking it to rrwatch it later until i watch the ML dies.. :'( this kind of drama is traumatized me. I remember watching windstruck, fashion king, iris, iris 2, gaksital n some others.. i suffered for a week

It's impressive how a drama can fail on every metric there is and still get to finish its full run. It's fundamentally dysfunctional even if we were to disregard the epilogue. Yikes! On another note, Nana needs to figure out how to turn on her facial muscles appropriately with the scene.

I suppose that if BiSoo had died when the truck hit him, that would be devastating and letting him stay alive another 49 days enabled him to put his life together, declare his love, etc., is better than nothing.

But it would be great to have a 1 episode sequel where he comes back from his one year journey. At least that is the ending I've prepared.

Very touching, moving, quirky, romantic, funny, etc. Be prepared to cry a lot in last episode. I certainly did

Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved.

I am thoroughly enjoying and impressed by the characters, subtle signals between the key parts, poignancy, etc. It has gotten even more interesting in a supernatural type of way. The fact that there is conflict and potential death makes it even more poignant. The characters feel pain and love. Excellent 10***

Do not bother this is pretty bad Jan 20 2023 5:59 am Male lead is pretty bad in this drama. He was good in other dramas but I could not stomach this. Probably can't blame the actor may it was the sucky script and the director. I think even my cat was whining more that usual. Not sure but ... it might be due to my complaining that drove the cat crazy.

Steve Jan 17 2023 10:00 pm The show is less a love story than a sorrow-filled family drama. The show could have been so much more. There are entire episodes in the middle that do nothing to advance the story. Lee Min-Ki is always good, and was pleasantly surprised to see that Nana can act as well. Like many of the k-pop stars that work their way into dramas, she spends too much time smiling. However, she nailed most of the the sad and romantic scenes. Sadness, in general, seems to be an emotion that is easier for an actor to convey than surprise, joy, or guilt. Maybe that's because we all experience it regularly in our lives. Pass on this one. "Crash Course in Romance" is off to a good start after two episodes - maybe try it instead.

I mean it doesn't seems like an ill kinda drama, like how 49 Days kind of vibe. Not to mention, the story it's just absurd :( I am upset, cried, hurt also. Not the happy i want when i choose to watch this :( Def Should've read review before watched it :(((

1987 Jul 02 2022 11:18 pm I just finished this drama just a few minutes ago. First, I watched this drama because of Nana. Hmmm... I think I'll give this drama a 8 out of 10. I really love the acting of the protagonists, the way they delivered their lines and showing their affections are really touch my heart. The plot was good but not the best. My eyes are still red right now.... Some people dislikes this drama but I'm not.

I watch romantic dramas to be entertained as my life is already stressful as it is. So the supposedly high concepts in this show was sickening (deceased father appearing etc), I took note of the writer's name and make sure I will never watch any of his shows. The only saving grace about this show are the stars - Loved Nana and Lee Min Ki plus the supporting cast was also awesome (the mothers of the protagonists). Good cast working with a bad script.

It turns from comedy dream sequences to a show exclusively talking about terminal/illness of almost the entire secondary cast. Probably one of the most depressing shows you can imagine.

I'm a huge fan of Nana but advise anyone to avoid this like the plague. You can see from the ratings just how many decided to leave it when they swapped the plot. A 2.6 rating down to 0.9.

mouse Aug 27 2021 12:18 pm i start watching because i see lee min ki, nana and kang min hyuk and thought it just a typical rom-com and lighthearted drama with happy ending (since the cast is popular with this genre) but through the end the plot become somehow heavy. im still thankful for the first few episodes of cringy moments even when it seems rushed for main character to fall in love with each other because it make up for the sad ending. though it saddening for the main lead, the ending brings good lesson for us.

1. The way Bisoo fall in love was 'unnatural and 'rushing starting ep 4 smtg. He suddenly get kind out of nowhere when in fact he was such a jerk. The same goes to Gwangja X Jaehan love story (also cringy)

2. There's pretty much nothing going onm the middle of the story was really hard to watch bcs all we see is useless scene and talk and emotion with sigh all the way.

3. Unnatural scene when Jooin was kidnap. That was purely useless and stpd. Why would the kidnapper just locked her in a room and willing to get punished ? also how Bisoo step father evil ill suddenly start and end like jdkdkd

Regardless all o still give it 6 point because the STARTING and ENDING was really good. Its all enjoyable, interesting and fun to watch in the beginning (1-6) and the ending (15-16) although it was a sad ending and i cry a mountain, still they i feel the warm from it. Both of them were able to eccept the fate and focus on present. Not everyone stay forever. Ig it's better if guys skip the middle of the story and jump to end cause its good.

I would like to point out Nana success in expressing Jooin character. She was the most natural character in the drama. The way she was able to cope with Bisoo mood swing, Bisoo's fate and rejection to Yoojin. I love her character.

So its still fun to watch if you know how to have fun ^^

The drama was so bad and didn't make sense. The story was just....terrible. I'm so sad because I couldn't finish it even though I want to see more of Lee Minki's goofy acting☹ I just can't overlook the ridiculousness of this drama ㅠㅠㅠ

Hae Ji-Ah Jul 11 2021 8:43 am Dissapointing. I'm not talking about the sad ending, nor the cliché story. But this k-drama feels very empty, no soul. The script is not well-written. The plot can be rushing sometimes (for example, rushing the main characters to fall in love or revealing the bad intention of Bi Soo's step father) and dragging too (too many unnecessary scenes). No wonder that the rating is very low. It is not surprising as well to find out that this k-drama is written by Jo Jin Kuk, the scriptwriter for "Love is Annoying", also aired in MBC and under rated. Such a waste to engage good casts in this k-drama.

gdik Jun 26 2021 7:17 am I watched this because of nana and lee minki. Of course Nana is really pretty. I hope for her success. Also lee minki. The plot is okay, i admit its kinda like the usual storyboard of kdramas.

Cold hearted character changed because of love. Well the love line developed fast, i find gwangja's love story overly done and cringey. But i think that is what happens in real life?

Anyway i was sad of the ending. But the actors did their roles superb.even kang minhyuk but its like his character in heirs except he is the ceo Hays nana fighting!

I really started this drama with an excited feel because it was Lee Min Ki but as the plot goes on it gets to be boring, I stop midway on episode 10 but decided to finish it to see what happened to the fantasy thingy, and I never regret it, I cried rivers forward, maybe because I could relate on every scene, although the production is very limited due to the covid guidelines and everything was set at home, I still enjoyed it, we cant change the ending, it sad but I can say its worth it. if you will rewatch the drama, you will understand the story and the message behind it...

That death is inevitable, you can conquer it but can never escape it, so a lesson in life is where this drama leads us to... very timely... as many never expected death is just around the corner.

That lady CEO is definitely making thing confusing to the gentleman CEO. Of course since people is easily blinded by love, so does he.

Terry May 24 2021 1:09 am I'm on episode 3 and it is hard for me to go on the plot is already aggravating me. And I love Lee Minki, but his character seems to be the only thing i like about the show so far. The female lead is really making me mad. She literally berates the former actress for asking him to change one scene because she couldn't do it correctly when there was nothing wrong with the scene then she asks the author to not only change one scene but to change all the scenes to suit herself. Everyone expects him to change. He was good enough to win multiple awards but one thing happens and he has to comprise and change everything about himself but not one other person is expected to change. That doesn't seem fair and here goes changing. I honestly would have wrote the script to make her look like a bad actress and when it bombs, blame everyone for making me cast the irritating thing. And wtf is she always smiling! even when the situation doesn't call for it. No I don't think i will watch this.

Cain May 23 2021 5:10 am It's more like a healing type of drama: how to deal with a lost someone you loved.

The story is cliché to avid Kdrama viewers; a cold character meets a warm hearted character and they fell in love which in turn makes the cold person becoming more humane.

Then suddenly something is happening to one of them and in order to not make the other person worried about him/her when he/she is gone, the poor person has to do something terrible as a break up excuse.

In this drama, it's similar to that except that the terrible thing involves something....out of this world concept....

I mainly watch because of Nana and Lee Minki. I love their act (and Nana's pretty face of course).

Leman K May 15 2021 1:51 pm Such a waste of cast, the casts are great, Lee Minki is a great actor, but the storyline was so so so so so,, I know it's a kdrama, but I feel like it's just a typical kdrama, nothing special.. It just passed onto my mind the second I finished, it just gone. It feels like people make this just because that's what they're doing for living, because they need money. It feels like someone compete in a race but didn't really try to win, they just did it because they were told so.. So many unnecessary scenes, the plot that will only happen in Kdrama (I know it's Kdrama tho, but I expect something that would blow my mind), love Lee minki, but he chose a bad project this time, Nana.. Oh my poor Nana.. Love both the lead cast.. Wish that they could get a better story next time.. (I'm not upset because of the ending whatsoever, I watched it but I felt nothing, I stayed watching it because even tho the story was so ordinary, the casts did a great job at portraying their character,,)

AzraLee May 14 2021 1:39 am It is quite enjoyable. It is not that disappointing despite the sad ending. I mean it is life. Just like how Chang Gyu told Bi Soo. A LP with scratches is a good one. The more scratch the more the value is. Watch and look at the bright side. It is about relationships and how to handle it. Joo In Bi Soo, Joo In Yoo Jin, Hae Jin Chang Gyu, Hae Jin and Bisoo's step father, Joo In's mom and her father, Jae Hwan Gwang Ja, the president.. How to cooperate when our partner are destined to passed away before us, how to handle it. Enjoy and appreciate every second chance we have. And those who said Lee Min Ki's character are same with his previous one in Because This Is My First Life and Beauty Inside.. to me nope. In Oh! Master he has more emotions and expressions. He got to portray it in another way of grief, another way to enjoy love. He chose to bottle up and throw tantrums but he show that only to his lover. Way too different from the other two drama.

This is a good show however, I am confused why it turned to be a fantasy drama and Bi-soo's condition was never explained. Overall, this is a good drama, I like that it has many sub couples and this teaches us the value of love and how to take good care and love the people around us. Personality and outlook in life could also be changed once you open up your heart.

idk May 06 2021 12:38 am stop watching at ep 12. the start of this drama is really cliche, it almost felt like watching an old romance drama packaged with nicer cinematography. i even wonder if this is from an old script?

i hope writer and director of korean dramas will stop making an asshole type of man as a main character who is only nice to "people he loves", and please stop making woman as man's punching bag and please stop instilling the idea that woman will fix rude man. that's a horrible message, so outdated and boringggg. i hope more writers know that it's okay to have a good character man as a main character.

this started off okay, but with each episode its losing more and more of its potential. will wait until the drama finish, and maybe i'll give it a chance again to see how they try to wrap this.

Which is more painful for a woman, to be dumped and given away like a puppy or to be completely honest to her about your impending disappearance and the chance to savor every remaining days of existence together. Could have thought of other conflict area/s for the story to remain interesting. Its unfair to the actors, fortunately there's the beautiful face of Nana to console the viewers.

I know the story is somewhat light but I think it is better to just tell the girl his situation. I'm still watching this because of NANA. Nothing else. Honest opinion, Earlier episodes are kinda cute, somewhat gave me good vibes. And the story became boring, now I understand the rating are too low. Not because of the leads it is because of the story.

The actors are great in portraying their role and im a fan of Lee Min Ki because of his past dramas. Im looking forward to this drama.

FL needs both basic and secondary acting lessons, Acting is not just about having a pretty face love! ML needs to calm down and read a script before accepting the role. Just because something similar worked for you before doesn't mean it will work again (yes I'm referring to BTIMFL). SML needs to start doing some deep reflection on his acting career.

Baladeva Apr 30 2021 4:00 am start with super light drama then New Variable get into the drama, new episode i keep waiting to see him disappear a lot, but it doesnt happen and there is only one way to fix it, its call soul transfer, send someone lifetime to someone that about to die. its can happen with a wish. IRL it can happen, like someone about to become famous but must watch their relative/family passed away. its might be simple drama when everyone die at the end, make everything waste to watch. like many 2020-2021 drama. when main character die at the end. its basicly waste to watch. all effort for plot means nothing. bc why not main just die at first time, so the drama can change side and viewers doesnt too deep into main character.

ellysmardiana Apr 27 2021 5:49 am At first, I was very interested in reading the synopsis of the story, plus Lee Min Ki is my favorite actor. but, to be honest, I don't like the direction and editing in this drama, too often changing the sides of the scene unnecessarily, in an episode I was quite bored and quite dizzy. The story is simple but some of the mysteries have not been solved, and it's too long to hold, so it's boring to wait for it. I am waiting for Lee Min Ki to portray a character with a lot of expression through this drama (from some previous dramas tend to have a cold character), in this case of course there is no doubt about the quality of his acting. Hopefully it can be even better for this drama. Fighting!

Mr. Jeong has a really open-minded thinking that knows how to think with rational rather with emotions. I love how he always try to be friend with Writer Han eventhough they are both love rival. It means he knows that it's not supposed to be a big issue and he has confidence that Oh Joo-In will not fall in love with Writer Han.

It's a fresh way of plot thinking which I actually love to see more in real life. Take some lessons, guys! Hahaha

ket Apr 15 2021 1:52 am i wanted to watch something easy and cute after harsh thrillers so i came across this. i love the main male actor and the story was basic just what i wanted. but first few episodes escalated so quickly i honestly don’t know what they are going to add to the show. also what’s up with the guy saying bi soo is going to die like where is that going. i just hope the show is going to end with the same atmosphere it started. and is it just me or does the actor playing childhood friend have very punchable face lol

I know she wants to be careful but she needs to do it fast. There is no need for a love triangle. viewers might be annoyed. Things are going well at the beginning of the episodes until her friend shows up.it ruins the balance and the writer's character became weak. he should focus more on his mother's conditions. No time to play love thing.

aurora Apr 14 2021 4:38 pm I began watching this show for nana and thought it was good up until the 7th episode; I skipped a lot or sped it up. The story is getting boring...whats with the person appearing telling him he will die? or her teasing them but it still looks like she likes the writer more? The characters from the start were a bit confusing and developing them should've been the focus for the first couple episodes but it moved so fast especially when the second lead came in. Also what is this about her ending up with a true beauty guy? I know the actors are good at acting but the plot/storyline is not allowing them to showcase their skills. However, I will continue watching to see if the story changes (:

It is such a predictable drama, and old plots. No chemistry, quick love, and all characters seem to be fairing well in their career which makes it even more boring. there is no twist, even as much as they tried to make it a comedy, i still do not enjoy the fact that it is so predictable. I mean, Bi soo reaction to his mom's condition is lagging, then joo in reaction is to peck a guy despite feeling sad, i can see what the writer is to trying to establish there, but it just ain't working.

It's nice to see him show more emotions proving his caliber as an actor. He's more normal here and I'd like to see him take more difft roles in the future. He was great in The Lies Within too.

However, I will watch to the end because 1) you never know, it could get better, and 2) well, Lee Min-Ki.

Stick with it. I think it will be well worth it. The moms will have an important role I believe. Don't drop it until you finish at least the 4th ep.

My favorite actors in one drama are exciting. Watched Episode 1 and I am already in love with LMK and Nana. The opening scene of LMK was hilarious, the way he walked wearing gloves, a mask, and boarding another person's cab was very funny. Although the plot looks similar, I hope it will be more entertaining in the coming up episodes. Fingers crossed.

I mean, I guess this is partly intentional: he's supposed to be the opposite of a romantic type. But still, I didn't expect them to make him so unlikeable. I expected him to have at least some redeeming qualities that he's hiding. But no, he doesn't have those.

I haven't watched a series portrayed by Nana but I watched a lot of Lee Minki's dramas, so I think this is going to be a great series.

Excited to watch this also coz 2021 is full of action, suspense, time travel, historical and teen /school dramas and Oh Master will be on the Romcom side.
