Sayaka Minami (Anne Nakamura) works as a designer for a company. She is 30-years-old, single and has not had any love experience due to her 15 year unrequited love for Ryosuke Sagisawa (Ryohei Otani). They have been friends since they were kids.

One day, Sayaka wakes up and a strange man is in front of her. She panics and the man introduces herself as Shohei Machida (Yuki Furukawa). He works as a salesman at the same company as Sayaka. He tells her that they are in a relationship and live together. Sayaka lost her memory for 3 months.

Imofitri Jan 23 2022 10:41 pm Tbh, I am already read the manga. And I am already watch until ep 4. Eventough storyline had many different plot with manga itself. I don't really care. But young men who played machida just not right for me. It's just machida at manga not that expresionless like this one. And he had his humour and naughty side and he show it to the heroine. I just don't feel machida at manga for this dorama. It's bit disappointed cause even me bit fall for machida at manga story. But for this actor who played machida at this series just so so for me. Not give impact and too rigid and not even slightest picture machida character at manga. But yeah I need to finish this dorama after all cause I am already watch it. Ahh, why machida must be played by this actor? I know many people fall for him cause itazura an kiss drama but for machida really not fit his character at all.

hummm maybe I don't like being in love with that young boy ! it feels like the drama isn't Romance at all, JP drama always make us exciting for the next and always feel there is precious things !! but this one doesn't . the makeup of the Heroine and others are look like Korean style, what's problem of being Japanese style as always ? which make me uncomfortable to watch! JP drama is awesome compared to Korean in my eyes so please don't change ! well , I shouldn't complain that much all I need now is to read the manga I hope I could find the answer there

Yeeee Jul 05 2018 5:57 pm Replace the main actor with a piece of log and you probably wouldn't even noticed. I loved the manga and was MAJORLY disappointed with this live action. I actually thought the main actress was "ok" despite the exaggerated acting style, but the wow the guy was NOTHING like the manga. The manga's character wasn't this wooden expression-less guy, he had a dead-pan type of humor. I felt like the actor was trying way too hard to be "cool" and it didnt feel natural at all. I actually laugh whenever he appeared cause it was cheesy AF.

Anne Jul 05 2018 6:50 am I like the beginning and the concept of the story. But start from Episode 5, it became so boring that the relationship between Machida & Sayaka was just spinned around and pulled out. And the ending was just like packed up so rash and doesn’t have a memorable ending

Del99 Jun 28 2018 11:27 am Came to watch the drama because it was based on manga. After finding some changes in the plot... I would like it better if they would have followed the storyline of the manga because there are many changes in the drama including the first love of the main character who became a childhood friend for 15 years :( he was originally Sayaka's first love during her university days for 10 years. I was hoping for the real Sayaka and Machida san character that was really based on manga TT______TT and ended up watching a drama that was so unexpected and different. Maybe I just hoped too much.

Sorry just saying my opinion. I'm just sad :'(...really really sad.

She is like Park Shin Hye as Go Mi Nam in He's Beautiful. Nice, Pretty, and Hardworking. I'm still watching it. It is a nice drama. I don't relly like J-drama but i think this drama was nice tho. This is the second J-drama that i've watched after Ikemen Desu Ne(Japanese version of He's Beautiful). The one who think bad about this drama, then don't watched. This is my opinion. If you don't want to waste your time watchinh it the don't. Because it is a nice drama after all.

Risa Jun 02 2018 3:54 pm Despite the presence of Yuki Furukawa, this drama is not good! The characters are annoying, especially the lead Sayaka. It’s almost unwatchable because the plot is so stupid! Sayaka has two expressions - surprise and dismay. Why would anyone like any of these characters with little to no personality?!?

I hope Furukawa lands a role where he can emote at least a bit.

Lily May 07 2018 7:27 pm This drama is dragging. The worst part about it is that Machida only liked Minami after she went through a "beautification" process. That is annoying. Why did she have to become a cookie cutter Barbie wannabe?

The acting is questionable from some of the cast.....or maybe all Japanese shows utilize the "overacting" technique? That is a serious question.

What is a good series out there?

There are no humorous lines or scenes to lighten things up.  It’s just a preposterous story (where is Minami’s family and why doesn’t Machida just fill her in?).

Yes we know in the end Machida will somehow be the good guy and will get the girl. Hoping Furukawa Yuki gets more serious roles e.g. Erased (Netflix). (From 5 to 9, on the other hand, was a fun series - Ishihara Satomi is adorable.)
