Veteran detective Masatoshi Takiguchi (Eiji Okuda), who will soon retire, and his young detective partner Maki Katagiri (Dai Watanabe) track a killer in a recent murder case. Their leads then point them towards the person responsible for the infamous unsolved 1968 bank robbery case known as the "300 million yen robbery case".

- Based on Shunsuke Nagase's novel "Senkou".
- Although this will mark the first time Eiji Okuda has acted with Dai Watanabe, Eiji Okuda previously acted with Dai Watanabe's father Ken Watanabe in the 1986 film "The Sea and Poison" (Umi to dokuyaku).
