Finishing up viewing It’s Beautiful Now…screenwriting is just your art medium reflective of the eye & heart of a consummate cultural sociologist and family therapist. The four leads really touched my heart in a different way with their dilemnas and I found the dialogue set apart from all other dramas and hold my attention like nothing before or after it. I am watching it for the third time with days finishing it the second viewing. LOVE IT!!? The music is perfect! The chemistry of PBG/PSD is proportional to the characters. To cut to the chase, there SHOULD be a season 2 with Shin Se-kyung as the woman who wins Park Bo Gum's heart. Park So Dam realizing what she selfishly gives up tries to gain his affection once again. He struggles between the two but decides the woman he wants to be with is the one who challenges him because she is unafraid to support him in every way without fear. They would be an incredibly hilarious and beautiful couple on screen. Their chemistry would indeed wake the dead. Hyeo and So Dam should end up together, but her heart still secretly belongs Park Bo Gum. His brother gets a girlfriend who doesn't take his sarcasm. What do you think Ha Myung-Hee??? Just like High Society, it's not the best but it's not that "broken" either, it's just weak, like you could process it to be more well done instead of leave it medium rare. And it gave me uniquely weird vibe too, sometimes it's hard to watch but it's not that bad to miss. I guess it's your signature? I know everything is trying to fit in a 16 or 20 episode but still, good story telling is always a good story teller. I watched over 100 kdrama during this pandemic and these 2 will be on the bottom of my list so far, never skipped an episode but I did on TOL just to say I finished the drama or hoping that there will be saving grace at the end and record of youth is probably not my world so I didnt get it. shawna Oct 28 2020 7:48 am Record of Youth was so good! Just when you think you'd dip into tired old tropes, you rely on beautifully threshed out characters and the small details that do not escape a true fan of the small screen. I am also thankful that the translation captures the international sentiment and flavor rather than being just a literal transcription. I can only imagine how much more beautiful this was if I spoke Korean. I am working on that. Thank you for Sa Hye-jun. I know three of him in my life, and he exists. And he is wonderful. It seems you are also the writer for Doctors which has been one of my favourite dramas forever!! I know this might be new but although I am not a native Korean ... Honestly, felt like the drama was written for me (I keed :P)!! There are lots of points to learn from the drama, although some I am familiar with, I like how you rolled all those insights into one that doesn't sound so cliche but rather refreshing, thought provoking and emotionally satisfying... I don't know if those seemingly trivial scenes in the drama were from your writing or just added on the whim but they were fantastic! I'm talking about the scene where the male and female protagonists watched the movie "Her" and that scene with the music box playing "Itsumo nando demo"... I don't feel like those were just random, in fact those feel like puzzle pieces for the drama and a perfect fit at that! You just gained a fan here! Thank you so much for writing such a beautiful, realistic script! And oh! I've also watched Doctors and wow very beautiful end! Aside from the happy ever after of the protagonists, love that in the end there was a redemption for antagonists! You are such a wonderful writer, and you more than deserve the success of your works!
