Joo-Bong’s (Jung Yoon-Suk) father Sang-Goo (Kim Jung-Tae) struggles to attain copyright over the animation character Bongbong. Meanwhile, Joo-Bong's mother left their family, but Joo-Bong believes in his mother's promise. She told him that she would return before he becomes a middle school student, but Joo-Bong decides to go to Japan to meet his mom.

Jillibean Sep 24 2023 11:35 pm I was totally floored by the strong writing of this one hour drama special! No wonder why it won a scriptwriting award! All the imagery of the fantasy cartoon brothers and their intact loving family, contrasted with the rough darkness of the real broken family, was actually painful to watch. What a superb story idea. Absolute Kudos must go to the acting prowess of the child actor playing the older brother, Joo Bong (Jung Yoon Suk). I just wanted to hug him, his character seemed so real, so full of hurt that he made me cry numerous times. Definitely a sterling A+ performance in one of the best drama specials I've ever seen (and I've watched over a hundred of these marvelous specials!).
