Plot

Set in feudal Japan -- a time of upheaval of samurai warriors and isolated villages -- comes this story of gun-wielding, young princess who is sent to an ancient, forested land to defend the forest from human encroachment which threatens to unbalance the forces of nature.

ikki Mar 21 2015 9:01 am Disney can not do this kind of animation since they still keep themselves from maturity content. Avatar also copy(?) some idea from this animation, Conflict between Nature and Invader for a natural resources, Maybe share the idea with Pocahontas but It's out of topics since Disney spoiled with an non-sense comedic and forceful senseless plot. Maybe Ghibli knows to handle with nature and commonsense of human and proper score than other studios.(Excluding Mushishi which has a same quality).

trickymindful Mar 04 2015 9:34 am An underrated film, great story, great voice actors, and beautiful soundtrack. Many things can be learned from this movie. I recommend this to everyone, especially for teenagers for this movie is a good example that this world can not be seen as good and bad, only mixtures of both exist.
