You feel as though you are a part of his films when you watch them, and the emotions that are generated are as joyous or painful as those of the real world. In this sense, they feel almost non-fictional; as if you are seeing the lives of others unfold.

Jay Quintana Nov 07 2014 5:54 am Peter. I purchased the DVD from Amazon.com. The subtitles are in English or Chinese. Have to say, the English subtitles aren't that great. Also, last time I checked, the episodes are available on YouTube.

Peter Snel May 09 2014 7:05 am As an admirer of mr Koreeda's oeuvre I would love to be able to see Going My Home. How could I get the series on dvd region 2, possibly with subtitles? I know its been shown in both the Netherlands and Belgium, also on IFFR....
