Michiko (Ran Ito) becomes ill. She tries to get her son Jiro (Kenta Kiritani) to meet lengendary male geisha Umetsugu (Matasaburo Nomura).

Jiro tries to find Umetsugu, because he believes Umetsugu is his father. While looking for Umetsugu, Jiro meets various people who try to live with happy faces, but carries sadness like beautiful geisha Baika (Misako Renbutsu), refined linen shop owner Shotaro Yamafuji (Ryuzo Hayashi), geisha restaurant owner Haruyo (Masuyo Iwamoto). Jiro finds out the truth about his father.
