Plot

First love, just by the careful reminiscing over these words people become emotional. Everyone feels that their first love was pure and near to them but as time passes the memories become faded. What if the first person that gave you these pure and innocent feelings had died? And what if this man that looked just like her first love appeared in front of her ten years later, right before she is about to get married? Can she fall in love with this man just because of the fact that he resembles hum? This drama tells the story of three people that are bounded together because of the destiny of their first love. Destiny has made these three meet, separate, and become entrapped by their ‘Family’ they had long forgotten about. The chained relationship intertwining among these people will slowly unfold in a mysterious way.

Samantha Proud African I fell in love with korean dramas after watching this & Sad Sonata. The emotions it could evoke now that's beautiful. Only a good drama can make me cry & this well this is the best. Much love for Bae Yong Joon, such a beautiful man( like many other korean men eyecandy). Superb..huge fan from Zimbabwe, Africa. Korean dramas are amazing!

Aishwarya Am an Indian and i can swear that this is one of the rarity that enlightened my love for Korean drama ..simply i fell in love with both the anime and the series<3

gel oh.. so depressing but I love it.. It's just that the ending is hanging :(

aeri @baek, not all international fans like that.. sometimes korean fans also like that..

baek @Cara, this is why I sometimes hate international fans... They think they know everything about Korea and the true Korean media, but they go around acting like wannabes. Stick with your own country instead of complaining about another.

Tybolt Hey @Cara; Are you sure that you didn't get lost in the rain and end up at the wrong address? And what is all of this nonsense about Korean dramas having "no appeal outside of Korea?" If this were true then why is everyone writing here in English? Why does 'Soompi' get like about a million on-line hits a day? And why the hell are YOU here?

Cara LOVERAIN....one of the best Korean Drama. Although LoveRain did not appeal to Koreans as evidence with the low ratings. Love Rain appeal is to the International market. If Koreans want to break the International market ...(not the niche international market) they should make dramas like LoveRain.

The rest of the Korean dramas that are popular in Korea has no appeal outside of Korea...this is about the weird closeted, culture where a lot of things do not make sense.

Clarkdale44 Holy shit!!! What do i say after finishing watching this drama... Its the most wonderful, outstanding, masterpiece, mind blowing series i have ever seen so far... Superb... i don't have words to describe such feeling i got after finishing up last episode. I went crazy halfway through the show and couldn't move, it was totally unpredictable what will happen next... About Bae Yong-Jun's performance, DAMN ohh my god, he is just 100 times awesome. 101% perfect for such role. Choi Ji-Woo is good as well so as her chemistry with Bae Yong-Jun in the drama.

Story was damn solid... I am impressed by the writer.. Its no doubt this is the best asian drama i have ever seen so far (story and casting wise). Its obvious i will give it 10/10 without a doubt... There is not a single flaw in this series.

Don't read stupid comments like this drama is boring.. it totally depends on person because each person's choice is different.

Fifi I love this drama. For me this is the best Korean Drama. I suggest for everyone who like Korean Drama to watch this drama

snapping turtle The 'Gone with the Wind' of Korean dramas. 'Nuff said.

Umi I have to say that these drama was totally a boring and i just cant feel the pure and sadness of their relationship....why???cuz i think that japanese can make better sad love story like koizora and 1 litre of tears...but i think korean drama is funny and i like that...but i love both of japanese and korean drama...ganbare...daebak

Davia I must say I had to laugh in disgust when the mother kept asking her daughter if she was okay. Mean while she is forcing her into a loveless marriage and to do the 'honourable' thing, even though she herself married a man who was engaged to another woman. Then Jun Sang's mother must have had a serious case of arrested development. I am trying to think at what age someone would have still such little sense. Oh and let's not forget the math teacher who has no reasoning skills or common sense either it seems. Apart from the unbelievable 'parents' and a little too melodramatic a script this drama was really very beautiful and the acting very enjoyable. I loved the lead couple in this. There are a lot very romantic scenes in this which are sadly scarce in more recent dramas.

NM17177 my first korean drama...i love this drama...

John One of the things that keeps me interested in this drama (only half way through so far) is that the main male lead - Bae Yong-Jun - looks "exactly" like a young James Spader (the American Actor). It's uncanny. Of course having the dyed hair helps. At this point it seems to be a typical Korean Drama where there is obsessive and selfish love (I wouldn't call it that) vs social and family obligations and the "possibility" of true love waiting in the wings. In real life (in the US) I can't see how there would be any conflict to be honest. What girl would sacrifice everything for an obviously unstable and selfish man just to satisfy everyone (except herself)???... I suppose emotionally abused women fall in this catagory it's true, but when they do have the strong support of someone they love and who loves them??? Not a chance. NOW my only concern is will the ending make sense or will we have the typical tragic ending where sacrifice takes precedence over reason and maturity.... Korean Society seems to be very driven by what is expected and family connections .. and appearances (lots of suicides attest to this). I actually do enjoy watching these dramas also to get a glimpse of what it is like to be Korean and to live in Korea. Anyway.... hope the ending is satisfying and not a disappointment (the endings are always what makes or breaks a Korean Drama ... Korean directors seem to lose focus and get confused with what they want to say.... that's their only failing... the acting, story, sets, music, cinematography... they are top notch especially the Historical dramas). Hoping for the best here since so far I really enjoy it.

kamyar great so sadness great ost great drama great actor great actress great director great senario great drama great drama great drama great drama great drama great drama great drama great drama great drama

really really really really great drama great drama

Gasenadi Thankfully, the only kdrama that I have regretted spending time on. I slept thru six episodes and didn't miss a thing: they were still walking s l o w l y and recalling the past, except of course, the amnesiac.

C The Korean dramas I've watch do in terms of production values look better and have definitely become a international phenomenon, but I believe that Japanese dramas have a greater variety when it comes to plot lines and places more emphasis on acting. (Many male characters in Japanese dramas are not that hot but dammit they can act in a way where I start to believe there are ><) I don't mind korean dramas, but I probably haven't seen enough because the storyline always seems to me rich person falls in love with poor person, hot guy goes for "average" girl etc, and there's always so rich corporation in the background...

Liew Chin Fu of Singapore Indeed Korean dramas are better than Japanese, whether in terms of production or storyline. And Winter Sonata was the best ever Korean drama I had ever watched at that time.

Cary BEST DRAMA EVER!!!
